I simply asked whether the soup came with rice and if I could substitute noodles or choose another option, but the server responded with a very rude attitude and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. This is only for my review for the soondaeguk (blood sausage soup) I haven't tried other items on their menu but I'll still give this place a 4 star. Went at night after work for an early dinner, got there around 5:45pm or so. Not very busy which is nice and the restaurant is clean. There is only one aunty that was working and she was very nice. I like trying different places for their soondaeguk to see what kind of soondae they use. Of course this restaurant isn't know for soondae so it's the frozen ones that comes with the soup. Overall the food wasn't bad but the soup was missing a little something but I just couldn't pinpoint what it was. Maybe the bone broth didn't have a deeper flavor that I was looking for. So after visiting other galbi tang locations, this was our least favorite and very underwhelming. For the same price, you get a lot less compared to Silla or Moobongri like you don't get glass noodles. We ordered takeout and while everything was wrapped nicely and didn't spill, it was lackluster. The chive pancake was sad. It looked undercooked. I threw it in the air fresher to try to make it look better. Didn't really work...the taste was quite bland. The kimchi radish was old. My go to spot for seoulleongtang. My first time was back in 2022, and they have been consistently good ever since. I love their kimchi and the dipping sauce that they offer with the food. Stopped here for a late lunch with my daughter on our way to H-mart. She had Rose Tteok Bokki and I had Samgye Tang. Hers was very tasty, but mine was really quite bland. I was very disappointed. The service was very good, even though it was late in the afternoon. The restaurant is very nice inside, and other tables were filled off and on while we were there even though it was the middle of the afternoon on a Monday. This is the first visit since the new owner took over few months back. I was hesitant to visit but nearby Korean restaurant was closed and no other options. It was Monday night at 5 30 pm and no one was around. The place was empty, which was quite odd. Our server was friendly and friendly and very prompt, but the food took a while to come out. Kimchee banchan was still very raw and didn't taste good. It was definitely different than before. Officially my new favorite place to get seolleong tang. Came here on a Saturday at 1:45 pm ish and it wasn't super busy but still had a decent amount of customers. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the front desk lady who gave me the option to choose my own seats (that's always nice). The menu was already laid out nicely on the table so you get right to it. There was Korean music playing that was at just the right volume. I love love loveee seolleongtang so of course I naturally chose that as my dish. It's also the reason why I decided to come to Mr. Tang in the first place so I gotta follow through. Water is self served with small paper cups already provided at the table. Wooden chopsticks, metal spoons, salt, pepper, and chopped green onion is also provided at the table for you to adjust your soup to your liking. The price for the dish was $15.95 (the usual pricing) so imagine my surprise when the bowl they brought out was literally bigger than the size of my hand. Granted my hands are small but this was literally the biggest bowl of seolleongtang I've ever seen or eaten. I devoured it but alas I couldn't finish all the meat. They're super generous with their meat. You usually see maybe like 8 thin slices but this bowl probably had like 20+ decently sized meat slices. I liked the fact that there wasn't an abundance of banchan (Korean side dishes). They had a plate of various pickled vegetables that you cut up yourself with the scissors they provide you. And also a small dish of pickled jalapeños. I didn't try it with my food but I'm sure it tastes good with it. Once you're done eating, you pay at the front or have the check brought over to you. Coming back a second time! The beef rib pot was always delicious and fulfilling. Tender meat served in a hot stone pot mixed with potato and peppers, and some soft but cheery rice cakes. I was craving galbi jjim and to my surprise, was excited when this place came up when I searched for options in Colorado. The short ribs were tender and fell off the bone, had the perfect amount of spiciness, and I love that they torch the cheese just like the galbi jjim restaurants I've frequented in California (Cali is def better, but Mr. Tang is also really good). It's unfortunate I have to write a review on how we were treated by the woman manager at the restaurant today. Traditionally, Koreans' have Ox Tail soup for the New Year. My mother and I went in and we're excited to try this new place. She had came a couple of months ago with a friend of hers - they recommended. We ordered the Ox Tail Soup with meat (no rice cake). This soup is supposed to be clear/creamy from the bone and meat. When we received our bowl, it was a completely different soup. My mom speaks more fluent Korean and requested for the kitchen to take it back and provide the right soup. The manager refused and said "no cancelations" and indicated that Americans always eat the soup. The table next to us ordered the same soup, and she received the correct one. The manager insisted that our soup was the correct one. In English, I asked her "it's New Year's Day, could you do what's right and give us the right soup?" And she told me "no cancellation". The table next to us was confirming that the soup that was provided was incorrect. After 5 minutes of hassle, the manager finally took the soup back and gave us the CORRECT Ox Tail Soup. First photo is what we received. Second photo is what we asked. Third photo is the actual soup. The management team needs to take accountability for any mistakes or misunderstanding. I lived in Korea for about 6 years and was always disappointed in the seolleongtang that I would find in Colorado. When I saw that a tang (soup in Korean) specialty restaurant opened, I wanted to try it out as a last effort before giving up. Expectations were met and beyond! I read many good reviews and decided to give Mr. Tang a try. I got there before 11:00 and there were already a few customers with food on their table. The beef ribs soup looked good in the photo but as always the real thing was a little different, instead of two big pieces of ribs, I got one big piece and two smaller pieces. The soup was tasty, but for the price Mr. Tang charged for the bowl of soup, value was poor. Besides the ribs, there were a few shreds of egg, a bit of glass noodles, a piece of daikon and the rest was all broth. Services are ok. The food has become less than mediocre. The amount of meat has decreased, the soup uses more stock instead of broth, and tteokkbbokki is probably the same as what you buy in store, but maybe 5 times more expensive. Maybe the food was bad for one day. But that makes it one of those places that can be quite bad on some days. Very disappointing. I have had amazing seolleongtang in Seattle and I haven't had anything even close to that flavor in Denver. When we heard a new seolleongtang place was opening up, we were pretty excited. Seolleongtang is a beef bone broth that is boiled down for hours to get a milky consistency. It is perfect for winter days or when you just need something to settle your stomach. We ordered the basic seolleongtang, Seok uh sulung tang (mixed meats),Bibim Naengmyeon (spicy cold noodle soup). The mixed meat had tripe and intestine along with brisket. I liked the intestine texture more than the tripe. Their brisket was tender and fell apart easily. I enjoyed the basic soup the most, simple and to the point. The meal came with kimchi and pickled onion with radish in sauce (jangajji). The broth itself still wasn't the same, but better than some of the others I have tried. We saw a lot of people ordering their special dishes that looked pretty good. The prices are definitely a bit higher,but that's with all things right now. Hopefully this will be the beginning of many more "tang" restaurants. read more

However, the workers will ask for higher tips and say things like "people tip at least 18% now, you should tip that much." This was my second time coming here and it did not disappoint! The first time, a lot of menu items were crossed out. We weren't able to order the mushroom guk bap or Mr Tang soup. This time around, we were told Mr Tang was sold out so I was really disappointed. We settled for the beef & cabbage soup which is honestly not my favorite. I'm not a fan of ox blood but if you are, you should get it. I really liked the mushroom soup however. The main course that we came for was the spicy galbi jjim with cheese. It's a really cool experience because they use a blow torch to melt the cheese. The first time I came we got it without cheese which was just as good.
