    Jasmine peach fruit tea

Mr Tea is a fantastic venue to do homework, relax, converse with friends, or enjoy the view. The service and staff are amazing. I told one of the staff members this (K), but this place actually helped carry me through the pandemic when I was unable to go back to school on the mainland. Shoutout to the Mr Tea staff. It got me through so many hours of studying when I had to be up from 2 am to 12 pm to attend my Chicago courses online. So many thanks to you guys. Finally, there are so many flavors of tea to choose from, and you can adjust the sugar from 0 to 100%. I particularly like the fruit teas as you can pick a base tea and pair it with a fruit flavor along with various toppings. 10/10 recommend.

Mr. Tea is one of the most notable boba spots in Honolulu, and definitely a great place to grab a variety of drinks! In fact, what's most impressive to me is the amount of options they offer for both drinks and toppings, making it my go-to spot when ordering for groups because everyone can find something they'd enjoy. Their drinks tend to run sweet, so I'd highly recommend lowering the sugar level if you'd prefer. My favorite drink is the Strawberry Jasmine Iced Tea at 25% sweet--in terms of sugar level, I'd honestly be fine with it at 0%, but the tea becomes a little bland to me at that level. I love that the strawberry flavoring they use in this drink tastes fresh, but some of the flavoring in their other drinks do taste a bit powdery or syrupy to me. (I guess that's to be expected for some, like the bright blue Cotton Candy Milk Tea, but it's still delicious in it's own way!) In terms of the boba, it's usually good, but not always consistent. Theirs tend to be on the firmer, chewier side. I find the regular boba to not have much taste, so I'd definitely recommend the brown sugar boba instead if it matches the flavor of your drink! (I actually prefer to order my drinks from here with aloe vera or tea jelly instead of boba.) Mr. Tea is also a convenient place to sit down and study or hang out with friends; there are a few tables, some board games, and access to free parking and restrooms. The service here is also usually good! Overall, Mr. Tea is definitely a solid choice for boba if you're in the area and looking for a sweet treat!

Love, love, love! I had some friends visiting the island for the first time, and they actually found this place. Since then, grabbing this at least once a week is a must. I get the strawberry milk tea with soy milk, 25% sugar, with boba. It is really good! The workers are really friendly and were a great help on my first time in. It is tiny but super chill. I noticed every time I grabbed a drink, that place is usually filled with people working on their laptops and having a drink, which is really nice. If I lived closer, I would totally hang out there.

Customer service was great. The staff were friendly, patient, and happy to offer recommendations based on my preferences. Drinks were made quickly, and everything came out exactly as ordered. They also offer customizable sugar and ice levels, which is a big plus for anyone who likes their drink just right. Prices are fair for the quality and portion sizes.

The uji matcha latte with oat milk is really good. First time I've seen uji matcha in a latte form. I got 25% sweet with boba and it was perfect and even sweetness for me. The staff were also friendly and helpful. There are games and books on the wall that you can use when you're at the cafe. Would come again to try other drinks!

I remember always coming here as a kid/ teen and I still come here! Always get the cotton candy milk tea and it never disappoints me! They make it very fast and they have so much flavors to choose from! The powder itself is already sweeten so my sweetness level would be 0% or 25% There's tables and chairs to sit inside but it's very small. But great place to chill and study as well!

One of the few boba places on the island that closes late! The cashier, Jacie, was great and answered all our questions about the drinks. I got the Jasmine Milk Tea w/ custard pudding (50% sweet), which had a lovely floral note & creamer ratio, while not being overly sweet. Highly recommend as a social & working space :)

    Fruity pebble w/Boba

Ok I can't speak for any other drinks besides their cereal milk ones. The fruity pebble and cookies and crème is sooooo good definitely recommend if you have a sweet tooth. It's basically like a milkshake.

Girl on the right was very rude.

However, the staff moved pretty quickly, and I'm surprisingly good at zoning out, so the wait didn't feel too bad to me. If you know you're buying a bag of beans, you can skip the long line and go straight to the back. You can also order pastries and drinks along with your beans. Before you make your coffee order, you have to go through the pastry section first, where they partner with the iconic SF bakery B. Patisserie! They have a wide selection of pastries that looked super yummy, but also pretty dense. I didn't want to kill my stomach first thing in the morning, so I only got one before I made my way over to order drinks. BLACK SESAME KOUIGN AMANN - 7.50 I loved the crunch from every bite, with the black sesame paste delicately layered throughout. It was a bit too greasy and sweet for my liking, but overall, a solid pastry that is well-loved by many. ICED POUR OVER - 12 + Kona Hualalai (notes: plum, hibiscus, and caramel) Very mellow and smooth. This was the lightest roast they had, which they described as a medium-light. If you're looking for something bright and juicy, I don't think you can find it in Kona beans. It was pricy, but I'm glad I got to try it. If anything, I preferred their pastries over the coffee. Still, if you're a coffee fan and especially if you want to try Kona beans, make sure to get up early and stop by. I also got to sample some of their drip coffee with my friend and try their current selection, which was a fun way to compare the different beans before making a purchase.

A Cozy Cafe with Friendly Staff, but the Coconut Latte Missed the Mark…read more I stopped by Bluetree Cafe in Kakaʻako around 3 PM with my cat, and the staff were genuinely friendly. They all came over to say hi to my cat, which was such a sweet and welcoming touch. The cafe itself is very cozy and beautifully decorated, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I actually came specifically for the coconut latte after seeing it in their Yelp photos. Unfortunately, the drink was quite disappointing. There was a fairly long wait - around 8 - 10 minutes for one cup. It seemed like one of the baristas was new and another staff member was teaching her, so I completely understood the delay. But when I finally received the drink, it didn't taste anything like the coconut latte I was expecting and it's the most expensive one though. I've probably had couple of hundreds coconut lattes, so I have a pretty good idea of what I was looking for. I asked the barista if she might have accidentally made a regular latte instead of a coconut latte, and she assured me, "Yes, it's a coconut latte." I took several sips, but honestly, it tasted more like a cold brew to me. Since I had my cat with me and the AC inside was also quite strong, I eventually went outside and just enjoyed hanging out with my cat instead. I really wanted to love this place because the atmosphere and staff were so nice. If the coconut latte had been made correctly - or tasted more like the coconut latte shown in their photos - I would definitely consider coming back. For now, though, I'm not sure I would make a special trip back just for the drink. I hope they improve the consistency because the cafe has a lot of potential.

I'd been curious about trying their matcha offerings, so I was excited. We came on a holiday morning, and there wasn't anyone inside. The cafe is cute and vibey! I ordered at the register, and she made my drink immediately. I was intrigued by their Haupia Matcha Latte. I love all things Haupia, so it seemed like the perfect match. I got the Haupia Matcha Latte with Oat Milk, and it was superb. I loved how creamy it was, how the sweetness of the haupia shone, but the earthiness of the matcha was still there. The banana bread latte is one I personally like, and the haupia matcha has a nice coconut kick. The ube matcha latte was just okay--the matcha overpowered the ube and the flavor kind of drifted. Not sure if the powder was a bit heavy that day or if the water temperature played a role, but I wouldn't order that one again. There are still other flavors I haven't tried, plus milk alternatives like oat milk available. Just know they may post some of the pics on their social media from time to time--it's a cute way to bring the community together. Hours are short, so check their socials before heading over. I don't want to be that person when this place has an overall rating of 4.5 but this is just my honest opinion. I got the blue dream and yes it was very ascetically pleasing, but it was just too icy. Before coming to this place i read a couple of reviews that also said the same thing and i didn't understand what that meant, but now I do. There are a lot of flavorless, just regular, small shards of ice in the bowl. On top of that, the moment I received my bowl, it was already borderline melted. So that got me thinking, how can it be melted and icy at the same time? The only explanation that I can think of is just ice additive/fillers. It's not pure cold acai or whatever is in the bowl you choose, but there's a mixture of ice in it too. Yes I understand, it's Waikiki, everything is more expensive, but the added topping prices on top of the already expensive bowl prices just don't make sense. You want a beautiful looking bowl with a lot of different toppings, yet some toppings can go up to 1 dollar PER topping. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by a couple places in SoCal, but at those places they have unlimited toppings and those bowls are the best that there is. I'm not bringing any bias from other locations, but this is just an honest review based on my experience today.
