I needed a replacement back up camera installed on my 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport AWD. After purchasing a plug-N-play OEM camera myself and looking online for DIY instructions, it looked very simple and figured I could do myself...especially since a local Hyundai Service Center quoted several 100's of dollars to do it. Unfortunately, removing 2 panels to access the old camera proved very difficult for me since online videos didn't clearly show how to do it. Usually, they are okay. I've gone for tires in the last few months, and that was fine, even though I was told they didn't have a record of that when I have the receipt in my glovebox. But I went in for a state inspection (which I've done here before), left my car, and got a call back saying all my brakes needed to be replaced and I needed a new caliper, all for just under 3k. I said nah, I'm good. My fiance and my father-in-law (a retired mechanic) looked at it two days later and said, "You do not need all new brakes or a new caliper." They replaced my front brakes and told me not to come back, and to go somewhere else. I went to a Hyundai dealership and they said my rear brakes were fine and I didn't need a caliper. I recognize not everyone has the privilege to shop around but please do. This last experience was not great especially being told they did not have record of them doing my tires literally months before. read more

Was given 2 prices on tires. One was with alignment (which I did not need ) one with alignment. When I got there they said That I need to do an alignment or all warranty is canceled. This is a rip off. My previous tires showed no signs of tire wear from misalignment. I will never shop there again. read more

I took my car for an inspection, oil change, and wheel bearing and after a day of holding my car was informed it would be $2,200 worth of work. This bill included several double parts and $400 to replace an oil pan which they said the drain plug was rusted on. I have since taken my car for an oil change without issue. After refusing the oil pan and double parts the bill was brought down to $1,500 to include brakes and rotors, wheel bearing, a wheel alignment, and tie rod end. At the time of agreeing to the work I was also told I may be charged another $200 if a caliper was frozen, good thing they didn't try to milk even more out of me. This place is definitely out to get anything they can out of you. It looks like they have undergone new management with more of an aggressive money getting tactic. Made appt couple weeks ago for inspection, their inspection machine didn't have the parts from NYS. Didn't call me to LMK, just told me at the time I showed up for my appt. Made appt for today at 2:30, they're supposedly open until 5, even called to check this morning about my appt. Got here 10 min early and the door is locked, sign is off. Thanks for wasting my time and money on a babysitter twice, Brockport location. I will never make another appt with you again. read more

Made an appointment for 8:30. I arrived on time and there was someone else already waiting. I signed in & sat in the waiting area over an hour and they still had not taken my car in and no one had bothered to communicated what was going on. In the meantime someone else came in for an inspection - she had come the day before with an appointment and waited over an hour and still nothing was done so she was back to see it they could fit her in. I grabbed my keys and left and will never go back. Apparently having an appointment is meaningless there as they don't bother to keep a schedule. read more

I knew that something with my power steering was wrong as there was a noticeable leak, so I took my car in less than a week ago to get looked at. They confirmed the issue, and wanted to keep the car overnight to be fixed by noon the next day. 1pm comes by the next day and I was waiting for a phone call to let me know they were finished. 2pm comes by, no call, so I called them for an update. The manager was on the phone saying that he had no idea what was going on with my car and that the pervious mechanic never left any note of it, so I had to tell him what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. He said he'd fix it and call me at 5pm when it should've been fixed by. 6pm comes around, no call again. So I call and they come up with a million excuses on why it was so late and the car was just finished after they closed. I picked up the car, and hardly a day later, the leak was worse than ever before. I call and they tell me it's "overfill" and all of the clamps were tightened so it should be nothing to worry about. The car continues to leak over a few more days and half of the fluid is gone. I call again to make an appointment to have it checked out again, for 2pm the next day. I show up at 2pm the next day, and the place seems swamped. The manager tells me that it will be "a little bit" before he can get to my car. I tell him to give me a call when he checks the car, and I go for a walk. An hour passes by, and my car is still untouched. I get that it can get busy but at this point I have had enough. My girlfriend talks to the manager about how unsatisfactory this experience has been and that we just wanted to get the car figured out. He then, takes my car into the shop to look at it, and 30 minutes later says that there was just one clamp that needed to be tightened, and that "it just happens". He tightens the clamp and shows me the underneath of my car where he worked on. He seems like a nice guy, but the place seems completely understaffed and just a mess! So disorganized and full of excuses. If your looking for a nice Mr.Tire in Rochester, go to the Penfield location instead! So much nicer there. Car Part replaced: "MISC SERVICE" 347$ after 50$ requested discount for mishaps. And a weeks worth of time. Not cool. read more

I called a couple hours later and asked what was going on. No apology from the person on the phone, nothing. They said they had a 3:00 that day. NOT. I got an oil change done at the Brockport, NY location in early september. Two days later, I noticed my car was leaking a ton of oil. I dropped it off and asked for it to be relooked it. I had to call the shop back three days later to get an update on my car. They said the drain plug was not changed. I picked up my car, and again two days later most of the oil was leaking out. I decided to take my car to the dealership to get it fixed. The dealer told me that my gasket and drain plug were not correctly changed, so I had to get an entire other oil change. I had three oil changes in one month. 2 at Mr. Tire, and 1 at the dealership. The dealership fixed the problem. When I called Mr. Tire back, they said that they would refund me right away. It has been almost three months and I am still not fully refunded. The manager Nico said he submitted the paperwork to corporate and that its "left up to them." While he seemed nice, I dont really believe he was honest. Now, I am trying to get it disputed with my bank. It has been ridiculous customer service. I used to go to Mr. Tire for years, and always had a good experience until now. The new management and men working there are not helpful and I plan on never taking my car there again. It's unfortunate but I do not trust the new management and their customer service really has gone down. read more

Can you give lower than a 1 Star? Avoid at all costs place smells like marijuana and the employees are baked better than an overcooked Thanksgiving Turkey. If a company wants to tank this is it, the employees were talking about not being able to do outbuys because they haven't paid bills?? Really. Between not being able to order the correct parts and making me wait for the right one which was in stock it's a guessing game if your car is fixed correctly...add in the drug usage and...go at your own risk, and good luck. Side note they did offer to do work under the table so maybe that's why they can't pay their bills. read more

Never bring your car to Mr Tire for an inspection. They said I need new bearings in my front right wheel before they can pass inspection for A 2009 Chevy Impala. I asked how much to do the work and if jut 1 wheel needed bearings. The employee at the computer said the bearings for just 1 wheel was a total of 200 dollars!!!! plus labor to replace just 1 bearings in the wheel. What a joke. I asked the employee if he quoted the price right because I found bearings for prices of 65-75 dollars and that was for 2 sets. 130 for all 4 wheels. RIP OFF!!!!! read more

I had a full synthetic oil change done on 12/30/22. Anthony Adams was the service manager. After spending $125 on an oil change, and to fix a leaking tire, his tech stripped out my lug nut on the tire! I was told to go and buy one and they would replace it free of charge! when I asked why, he said it wasn't their policy to send his tech to get parts. I explained to him that I have seen them in the past have Advance or Auto zone deliver the parts in the past. I said I would wait.Anthony became belligerent! Used The LORD'S NAME IN VEIGN, and became VERY NASTY!!! I would not have these people change the cap on my valve stem! Anthony is very unprofessional! He deserves to be fired! I have been a customer of Mr Tire for 20 years! No more! I was told that my services for my, and my wife's car, would not be honored there! THEIR MECHANICS ARE HACKS!!! Do not take your car there! Anthony will treat you like a piece of crap! Furthermore, I told him that one of the other tires was low on air. Lol! Needless to say I had to put air in my own tires.Never Again! I ordered tires from treaddepot.com and had the option to ship them to an installer. I had them shipped to mr.tire based on the prices online. This is my first time going to a mr.tire but I was impressed by the service and the friendly manager that took care of me at the front desk. Everyone that came in knew his name and really seemed happy to be there. I would definitely recommend this location for putting on tires. Not sure about the other locations, but I had a good experience here. The only issue I had was when I made the appointment to put the tires on, the man on the phone was somewhat rude to me about buying my tires online and having them shipped there. I know this man I talked to was not the manager, since the manager I talked to in store was so friendly about it. Other than that it was a good experience. read more

Brought my car in for inspection and failed it saying that I need new bushings and would be about $1400 to do it. Had them another garage do it and the price was under $500. After they pulled them out they said there was nothing wrong with them and they would have passed even at a dealership. They also told me that Mr Tire was known for doing this as a money grab and it was legal doing so because it is a grey area on inspections with the DMV. Once the car was failed for it you are required by the DMV to replace them. Poo on Mr Tire! read more
