I got a flat tire and had my car towed to this location. Erik was extremely helpful and kind as I sorted through a very challenging ordeal with my car. Because I did not have a key to unlock my wheel to replace the flat tire I was looking at my car being in the shop for two days until I could order one from the dealer. Luckily, Mike was able to remove the wheel lock off causing him to break his socket - he really saved the day! Ryan then replaced the tire quickly and I was on my way. I had to come back the next day for them to install a couple lug nuts and they expedited the repair putting me ahead of the other customers who were there before me and completed it in about 15 minutes. I cannot be more appreciative of their wonderful customer service and reasonable prices. I'm always wary of commercial car repair shops because I assume they will price gouge you. But this was a wonderful experience and I will go to this location in particular for future service. read more

I had to get a tire fixed and they went through my engine and told me I need like $4000 in repairs....took my car to another mechanic and I left paying $1000 for repairs that actually needed to be fixed. There was no $4000 of repairs. My car had a hand full of stuff that needed to be fixed and this Mr. Tire inflated the pricing and tried to keep my car sayin it was "unsafe to drive" unless I get the repairs done at their store. Safe to say..DON'T USE MR.TIRE!!!! I wouldn't even use them for an oil change. They stripped the screw to get to the oil pan and then told me I had to pay $600 to get it fixed, even though they were the ones that messed up. Run from this place, as fast as possible. read more

He knew 2 were bad and the other two were replaced by Mr. Tire just a few years ago. When he walked out, they rushed after him. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I set up an online appointment in Nov '23. The store installed the wrong tires and in the process also seriously damaged my wheels. My wheels are factory powdercoated (Toyota TRD Pro) and the shop chose to use a die-grinder to "prepare" the surface to adhere stick on wheel weights. This irreparably damaged the finish of my wheels and left large silver streaks on an otherwise flat black set of wheels. This is also not an industry standard practice as they should have used solvent/cleaner to prep the surface. Their only suggested resolution was to offer to spray paint my wheels and refund me $400 for the cost difference in the tires. Spray paint is not anywhere near as durable as powder coating and would not bring my wheels back to the condition they were before this shop damaged them. They also have not actually provided the refund they promised although it has been 6 weeks and I've followed up many times. Absolutely TERRIBLE experience with a shop that takes ZERO accountability. And for Monroe Customer service, I've already called you and left a voicemail at that exact number. You did not respond. I also sent a message electronically through your "contact us page", which you also didn't respond to, so let's not pretend like calling you solves anything. DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE!!! I took my car in for a simple oil change. After I left, within 20 minutes my car broke down as I was DRIVING ON THE BELTWAY. The engine completely died on me DUE TO THE CAR NOT HAVING OIL IN IT !! The following morning, I had to tow my car back to Mr Tires. According to the manager, it was a "FAULTY OIL FILTER" that was installed and caused the car to break down. The manager did not want to take accountability for the inconvenience or what his employee did, Yet I was still responsible for the payment and could not be refunded. read more

I'll try to make this as short as possible and keep my real thoughts to myself. My truck needed a new battery. I got there at 7:30 which is what they advertise as when they open. I was told 8:00 is when work starts. OK... that's odd. I was also told that it'd be done by 8:20. Didn't happen. Finally, closer to 9:00 I get my truck back and, as soon as I got in, I knew it was trouble. The electric seat moved into a position that wasn't my setting and the display had reverted to a different color theme with icons that weren't as I'd left them. I'd heard stories of computers needing time to reset themselves so I took off, figuring it would sort itself out. Well... I got down the road, turned the AC on and it was blowing hot air. Tried to change the temperature with the touch screen and it either jumped to all the way up or all the way down. Buttons did the same thing. Drove back to the store and watched as a technician spent about a half hour scratching his head over the OBDII scanner. Finally was told to take it to a Monroe store in Reisterstown where they would absolutely be able to take care of it. After 20 minutes there, that didn't work either. "Take it to Dodge". I don't know too much about working on vehicles anymore, but I do know that there are two ways to save the memory on a computer - The scanners the techs use can save it or you can use a simple device known as a memory saver which keeps juice going to the computer when the battery is being replaced. Obviously, neither was used. So, as it is, I paid $300 for a battery and a nice headache. Looks like I'm in for a trip to a dealer - meaning I'm going to wind up spending the money I wanted to save in the first place by NOT going to a dealer. I'm going to contact Monro to see if they'll remedy this. Depending on the outcome, good or bad, I will update this review. Bottom line? Driving across town for someone's mistake is ridiculous. I can't recommend this store if they can't properly install a simple battery without issues. ****************** An update - my response to Monro's reply: I did call that number and, because of the high volume of calls, I was given the opportunity to request a call back. I hate to be taken advantage of. Took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. Specifically told the girl that I wanted my tires rotated. She even stated it was part of the requested service. It was advertised free with an oil change. I did not care if I had to pay for it but was a plus as advertised to be free. My font tire had a distinguishing mark on it. When leaving the tire was in the same place. So I went back inside to see if it was overlooked. She tried to tell me the front tires were in better shape than the back. BS. Several months ago I had a tire with a slow leak and took the car to them to repair the leak. I was told that they couldn't fix it because it had 2 holes in it that were too close together to patch. But they could sell me a new tire. I told them no thanks because the car was scheduled to go to the dealer for service. Took the car to the dealer and asked them to check out the tire. They called and said there were no holes in the tire but it had a slow leak around the rim. The said the broke down the tire from the rim and wire brushed the rim and aired it back up and it is fine. This is not the first time I have had issues with them being dishonest. But it is my first review. All I can say now is beware. And check your vehicle over thoroughly before driving away. read more

Just left this Mr. Tire and I'm upset. First off customer service is subpar. All of the staff looks miserable as if they hate their jobs. They fake trying to be nice. I went in to get my driver front tire replaced with a new one and instead of replacing the driver front tire they put the new tire in the right rear without saying anything about it or as to why they did it. Thinking that I wouldn't notice. I had to go back inside and ask about them they tell me they moved it because I have a damaged rim (that would've been helpful information to tell me when you gave it back to me, instead of just collecting my money and sending me off (without giving me a quote before doing the work by the way). After that I get in my car to start my engine and my key and key fob completely breaks apart in my hand. The guy who is assigned to work on my car impatiently tries to start my car and breaks my ignition key fob! All he had to do was patiently turn the key around (or ask me first before aggressively breaking it) of course no one tells me anything about it, I had to find out by it completely breaking in my hands as I try to start my car. I tell the guy about it and he says "it was old anyways and it's not even from the manufacturer". He did not care at all, and I just ordered this key fob from Amazon and had it done over the summer! How am I supposed to drive with a broken key?? Very rude customer service, and very unprofessional, I will be reaching out to corporate about this as well. read more

We went here for tires for multiple vehicles for years. I never liked the guys in there--always felt like they were taking advantage. They always recommended additional services (that my mechanic said were unnecessary or could be done cheaper). But we just stuck to the tires, and my partner blew it off... But the last time I went there, they weren't done on time, which would be forgivable, but... when I finally picked it up and drove off, I immediately noticed a new rattle. I took it back and they said it was fine--acted like I was a stupid woman. Drove immediately to my trusted mechanic, who told me they hadn't tightened all the screws/bolts/whatever, and it was likely the tire would have worked its way off. And it probably would have happened on the highway--causing the tire to go sideways and likely sending the car into a wild, uncontrollable spin. Honestly, I could forgive the initial screw-up. I could tell something was wrong, and if they had even halfway listened to me (instead of assuming I was the same stupid woman they'd successfully overcharged and recommended unnecessary work to) they should have figured out what they did wrong. These are multiple multiple instances of negligence, and that is why I will never go back. read more

I made the mistake today of scheduling an appt and when I took off work early to get the work done, was told they weren't taking any more customers today. Have been to this location several times with decent service. Went in today with my postcard coupon for a oil change for $24.99. I'm unemployed due to COVID currently and money was tight. Told this to the person behind the counter bad he said he would not honor the coupon because I had synthetic oil in my car and he would not put regular oil in as it would "harm" my vehicle. I said that seemed odd and said let's google it. I googled if it was okay to switch back to regular oil after synthetic and multiple sources said that it was no problem, called out on his lie, he then asked me to leave. They sell tires... They even put them on the rim for you. One employee told me that my wallet was fabulous and sparkly. It was my girlfriend's glittery wallet. I told him that it wasn't mine, but he insisted on pressing the issue... I found it kinda weird. They originally told me my tire could be picked up the next morning, but it was done less than two hours after dropping it off. I'm not sure if that's good service or bad service... I mean, I planned my night around simply coming back the next day, but it was awesome to know they worked quickly. All-in-all it's not a bad shop, and I've had two good experiences here... Some of the employees just joke around in odd ways and don't let things go. read more

Came into the shop in July of last year. Had a flat tire and busted rim. The repair work was fine, but the spare tire I rode in with was not placed back in my car. I called the manager, Mike, every 4 weeks for about 6 months. Every time I asked for my spare tire back or a replacement, he said "don't have one in the shop, let me call the junkyard for one". Never got a call back once. To say I'm angry and frustrated is an understatement. It was my property, and it was taken. I still drive without a spare in the trunk and it's an uneasy feeling to say the least. Until I get a response that solves the issue, I will NEVER visit another Mr. Tire again, especially this one. Disgusting. I used to love Mr. Tire. Mike and Jeff were the best and so honest. Now I was just scammed out of $800 because the manager Devon doesnt know the first thing about tires, management or mechanics. I went in with a nail in the tire to patch/plug. He said it couldnt be done, needed to replace the tire (I trusted him=mistake) but fine, then i also had to replace the other front tire because it was dry rotted. Wait, you replaced that tire 7 months ago. Well he said you dont have road hazard so you are out of luck. Wait, isnt there a warranty from the manufacturer? Devons response "I dont know" So I asked to speak with the manager thats when he informed me that was him. So again" you are the manager of a tire store, do the tires come with a warranty from the manufacturer?" I dont know. I said dont you think you should know? he hung up on me. I went to get my car, work is already done and I again asked, will you answer my question now? Do your tires have a manufacturers warranty? He said no. I pointed to all the tires on the wall and said "well they all say they do". he just laughed and walked away. Many people in the waiting area were having similar issues just trying to get their cars to never return. We have gotten service here in the past and it has been ok. However, this afternoon I was met by the most contemptuous person pretending to be a manager. To begin ~ 6 days ago I had gotten 4 new tires at the mr. Tire in Hampstead. Then today, driving an opposite direction, it sounded as if there was some major problem with the driver's side tire. Being only a mile away from cockeysville we stopped at this mr. Tire to see if someone could take a look at it. Once inside the store I had to "bother" the employee behind the counter in order to ask him about taking a look for me. As I'm telling the story of what was going on, he motioned with both hands for me to hurry up with what I was telling him. Apparently he really wanted to get to the part where he could tell me he was too busy to help and couldn't do anything today (4:30ish). We went to the mr. Tire in timonium (15 minutes away). There they diagnosed the problem in less than 2 minutes. Apparently the lug nuts had never been fully tightened in Hampstead. Problem fixed and we were back on the road within 10 minutes. read more

I needed one tire at the Mr. Tire store on Warren Rd. Ryan Buchanan at the store and Jeff on the phone were very knowledgeable and helpful. Ryan offered me services that he was required to, but it was no problem to him that I declined them. He made me feel at ease. The new tire was installed in 15 minutes. The atmosphere here is much better than it was five or six years ago. Five stars to Ryan, Jeff, and the tech who installed the tire. The online appointment setting can be improved. It sets appointments with no warning. I backed up to try to change something, and accidentally ended up making three appointments, but when I called, Jeff helped me out. read more

I walked in right when they opened in the morning with a tire that was slowly leaking air, and I was worried that I'd need to replace the tire. They were fully booked up for the beginning of the morning but they scheduled me for an appointment for a couple of hours later and assured me that they run on time for their appointments and - even better - said they would be able to repair my tire and I wouldn't need to replace it. When I came back for my appointment I was a little bit early and they were able to start on my car right away. They repaired my tire quickly and easily. Service was very efficient and everyone I interacted with there was friendly. Also of note, they have a waiting area with several chairs, coffee, magazines, wi-fi, and a TV that was (I'm happy to report) not tuned to a news station. read more

Went in there for leaking tire. Came out with unnecessary repair done with still leaking tire!!! They ended up just replacing the valve stem hex nut/cover which I know it was not leaking. Well, have you tried to tighten it if that was what was leaking? (Even tho it was not). Instead they want to charge me for unnecessary parts and service that I never asked for! All I wanted them to do was patch the plug repair I did. They couldn't even do that, rather refused because my tire was worn down? What's that got to do with patching the tire? I get it, they want to make sale with new tire replacement but don't give me that stupid run down corporate bullshit! I can't stand businesses that treats their customers like bunch of morons!! They quoted me a great price, and were able to tell what tire I needed just from the car model (as soon as I called they knew I was a girl and were really nice helping me - but didn't try to trick me into paying more because I'm a girl). I ended up needing a tire they had to special order, but before ordering it, they called around for me to see who else carried that - since I told them I had a flat tire they were trying to help me get it fixed that day, even if it meant they didn't get the business. I had previously purchase my tires here, and they offer a great warranty that will actually carry over to your new set of tires too. Took my car for my most recent oil change, and I had been told by someone at my previous place that my brake pads needed changing, when if mentioned to the technician at Mr. Tire, he assured me they'd take a look. I came here to get my tires rotated and balanced before taking a weekend road trip. I was in and out in about one hour on a Friday afternoon. The customer service techs were friendly enough and the waiting area was clean. I definitely checked the Yelp reviews before coming in, and I really trust other Yelpers, so other than the fact that I was already in the Hunt Valley area during lunch-time, Yelp reviews was the other main factor in my decision to pick this Mr. Tire location above the location closer to where I live. Got my car back, tires were rotated (idk how to tell if they are balanced lol), wheel locks back in place, lock key was returned, and the tire service light was off so I guess they did their job! The price wasn't bad, although I'm always wary of getting overcharged because I'm a woman, however I think the price was fair and it didn't set off any alarms. Super experience! Set up a brake appointment and dropped my car off at 5:30pm on Friday night. I got a call with what was needed and cost from the free brake inspection not long after. I picked up my car at 8pm. I couldn't believe how quick it was. They even included some other coupon deals to knock the price down more. My tire had a leak, took it in for repair. They said they are unable to locate any leak, but... I need 4 new tires. My car is a year old Honda taking in routinely for maintenance including rotating the tires with only 26k miles. These guys took 6 hours to look at my car and come back with this BS. Didn't even put air in my tire & I noticed when I took the car to a gas station to put air they lost the cap To my tire. Wish I could give zero stars. * update: I took my car to two other service shops just to make sure. They were able to fix the slow leak and I don't need new tires. Beware! I took my car there recently. Air was leaving my tire and you could see a screw in the tire. Not only did they tell me that the tire was unfixable (would have to be replaced), but "oh by the way" we do not carry the type of tire that needs to be replaced and you cannot have two different types of tires on the rear. So you need to purchase (2) tires=$600. It was very obvious that they were taking advantage of me (female). I declined service and took my car to another tire repair shop and he said that my tire WAS repairable. However, I would have to wait for a day or two (booked). So I took my car to another tire repair shop and they concurred: the tire could be fixed! So 2 other tire shops were honest with me--Saved me a lot of money---Be very careful---very dishonest. Over the last few years, service at this location has declined. I came in to get my two headlights changed and it took forever. When called up, I was told about all this work that "needed" to be done on my car. I told the guy, I did not have the time on that date and he was hell bent on me getting all of these services done. One of the services was transmission flush. So I told him, "that's weird because I just got a brand new transmission!" He persisted and said "the systems says you need it done!!" I guess because I'm a female, I was supposed to believe him. At checkout, with another associate, I was reminded again about the work that needed to be done. I mentioned that I needed to search for a more reasonable option because the cost at shops likes this can be high. The associate stated "well, your gonna get what you pay for!" No one likes getting a flat tire... Simply put it's a crappy way to start or end any day. I actually picked this location because it is close to work and had great reviews. In the pouring rain last week, I got a flat tire on the way to work. After a few calls and popping my spare on. I made my way to Mr Tire around 2pm on a Wednesday. Before I went I printed off a coupon for a free tire repair. The shop was busy but I was greeted right away. I believe I spoke with Todd who was helpful , took my coupon and told me the wait was going to be an hour. In the waiting area, the TV was actually working and there were several magazines. Everything from Shape to Okay- so not complaints from me. In about 45 minutes my tire was patched free of charge, good as new. I even checked in and have a 20.00 oil change I need to use. Success!
