We have taken my sons car and my car here recently. For my son's car, said can you do an oil change and see what the loud noise is when he goes in reverse and turns left. They call shortly after saying his car is done. We ask oh you what is loud noise, response "what loud noise"? Then get annoyed with us for asking them again to look into it! Still couldn't find the issue and told us it was fine. Bring my car in for an inspection and overall loud on the highway. Same thing...your inspection is done, come pick it up. What about the loud noise?? "What loud noise"? Again, get annoyed with us. They had our car from Thursday-Saturday for this. Every time we called for an update, they were rude and acted like we were annoying them. Finally called and said the back tires looked worn so we replaced them, surprise the car is still loud $400 later. We will never go here again and will encourage others not to either. Very rude, unprofessional staff that don't seem to know what they're doing. read more

I usually have a good experience coming here, to install tire and mostly New York State inspection. I went there today 6/20/2021 for annual inspection, drop my car and key (look at left picture). Called me after an hour and told me my car is ready to be picked. Went there and they told me inspection has failed because brake light was on and hand me over my key (look at right picture) with my red button missing. I asked the person, Cody Pace what happened? He said it come like that from me. It is RED button of a car key that I drive everyday, think I wouldn't notice if it went missing before I hand it over? The button looked like it got ripped if anything. Is it a normal practice not to call the customer to inform them something is going on with the car and if customer would like to get it checked out/fixed before you guys can proceed further with requested service and charge me for the failed inspection? I remember few years back I sent the car there and you guys called saying my windows tint are too dark to pass. I paid for Mr Tire service to remove them and pass the inspection. So I know there is that. read more

Let me say that Scott was exceptional in both customer service, product knowledge and professionalism. I had a tire sent here from a tire website. Scott got me in and out within an hour of calling him. As I sat in the waiting room, Scott took care of numerous phone calls and 3 other walk in customers. DISHONEST AND FRAUDULENT BUSINESS. I never write bad reviews. But I can't stand dishonesty and fraud. Went to get my car tire replaced. I was told that it would cost $200. Once I got the bill it was $350. I was never given an estimate for the total cost nor consented for the estimate (which is the law). Once I inquired what the cost it the tire was, I was told told that it was $250. After I told them the initial quote that was given to me, they reduced it to the initial price of $200. Also they did an allignemet and a lifetime warranty for a cost of $150 which I never requested. Seems like they're dishonest and fraudulent. I went to this location after seeing good reviews but I was disappointed to find out how they really are. If you're going to this place be careful and ask for an exact estimate before you get any work done on your car. Otherwise they will rip you off. read more

My husband and I broke down while out of town. Had AAA tow us to Mr. Tire and turns out out water pump was cracked and leaking! Customer service was great and they fixed the problem same day. Highly recommend and would use if we're in town and in need of a mechanic again. read more

Love this place! I was originally looking for a place for a basic oil change, because I'm new to the area and wasn't going to be in the area of my mechanic any time soon. Whereas my car dealership (Honda) would have charged me $42 for the job, Mr. Tire charged me $20! The least I've ever paid is $36. I was like, omg I'm in love. I decided, Hell yeah, this is my new mechanic. I was hearing my brakes squeak, and the pads hadn't been changed for about 50K miles, and Mr. Tire does free brake inspections, so I took it on over. They told me I had about a month left, needed my rotors replaced as well, and that I'll need my tires done before winter. I appreciated the extra feedback. Although the rotor thing is often a trick most mechanics say to get some extra cash--I KNOW my rotors aren't warped (the car drives a certain and super obvious way when they are) and my grandpa and his five brothers owned an auto body shop and played the rotor trick, so I just know better--I really appreciated them checking my brake pads and letting me know when they'll need to be replaced. My dad ended up replacing them for me for free instead of Mr. Tire, but if I hadn't been near my dad, I would have gone there instead. I also referred a friend to them for an accidental Diesel gas late night mistake and they helped her out for a way cheaper price than other mechanics. And I think they give a SUNY discount? In a few weeks I will be going there for tires and see what they can do for me, so if my opinions change I'll be sure to update yelp! read more

Switched to this location from the one on Vestal Parkway East. Not any better, worse in-fact. I came in for a simple tire issue and have had to come back multiple times for the same issue since it wasn't fixed the first time correctly. They're also bad about taking appointments. I've walked in for an appointment made on the phone and they said it didn't exist. Overall disappointing. I might need to see about canceling my Drive Card and going with another body shop altogether. read more

BEWARE! The Old Vestal Road location is PREDATORY, UNETHICAL AND FRAUDULENT!! My daughter brought her car there for a simple inspection and oil change. After she was told it wouldn't pass due the condition of one tire tried to sell her a set of 4 (it's AWD). instead we had the put the snow tires we have on earlier than expected, and I am bringing the tires to a real mechanic to see if they would have passed. It gets bette - the oil change they used a full synthetic AND for cars with high mileage! Her car has 24k on it. even better...they told her that's what the oil cap said to use! Nope. doesn't say that. Now she's screwed for future oil changes and we are seriously considering legal action. She was never informed or had approved the full synthetic. But hey, she's young let's take advantage, and by the way, the end of the month is coming and they probably need to hit goals. I will not get going on the manager Rich and his response, it was pathetic at best. again...BEWARE!! read more

I needed a tail light fixed and they got me in on very short notice to look at it which was nice. Then they tell me they can't help me. They put air in my tires. It cost me $70. Would not recommend. I called later and they hung up on me. I will never be back. read more

Charged me $110 for an oil change. The tech never asked for my wheel locks so he just took the caliper off. About 20 miles later my caliper fell off the rear wheel and he never put the oil cap back on. Making 2 quarts of oil spew all over my engine. When I called the manager said it wasn't theirs fault but if I take it back to them they will give me a "fair" price fix it. I will never recommend or go back to Mr. Tire! read more

I made a same day appointment for an oil change and when I showed up they got me right in. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable, did not try to sell me anything I didn't need, which is amazing because almost any other place sees a female walk in and all of a sudden they suggest you change 12 things on your car. They consciously made an effort to try and save me money, informed me of perks for downloading the app, told me to check out the website for coupons. My service was done promptly and there is now no other place I would rather go for any other car needs. read more

Had appt. for oil change and tire rotation at 4:30 they finally took my car in at 5:00 after I complained. Over an hour later I finally got my car back. Started to drive away and the car made all sorts of noise and was hard to steer. The Lug nuts fell off the front tire. Yes fell off. They brought a portable jack to the car, found the lug nuts and put them back on. Add insult to injury my seat was filthy. The guy came and looked at the seat and then just walked away. Received a phone call from the manager wanting to make it right and a couple of e-mails from corporate. I thank them for reaching out to me. Will delete review soon. read more

I bought four new tires. They are smooth on the freeway. Everything seems to have been installed correctly. We looked into getting the tires realigned but decided not to. They could have pushed me into paying for an alignment and they knew that, but they chose to be honest. I appreciate this. Nice people; great experience. read more
