I have been going to this place off and on for 10 years. This place has really gone down hill. I will never go here again. I scheduled my car to have the breaks and rotors replaced. I had scheduled this appointment days in advanced for a 9:00 appointment. I dropped the car off at 9:00 AM and the guy told me it would take an hour and a half or up to two hours. I called at 12:30 and they had not even looked at it. The guy said the would be looking at it soon. I arrived at the shop at 6:00 PM and nothing was done. The guy said his employees left at 5:00 and that they would not be able to work on it until tomorrow. What a joke, and a complete waste of my time. I drove my car back home with nothing done to it. I had a similar problem with this place a few months ago, but decided to give them another chance. Never again. Go anywhere but this place. read more

Horrible experience. Picked my tires and booked an appointment online. Arrived at appointment time and waited 15 min before anyone even acknowledged me. When they finally looked up my appointment I was told they didn't have the tire I chose in stock. They, of course, had a more expensive tire in stock. Offered me a small discount on the new tire but then somehow the new total was over $200 more than the original quote. After today's experience I will not be returning back to Mr. Tire. I've been a long time customer of this shop in Moon Twp. I own 2 vehicles and have had all work done exclusively by them. Made an appointment for inspection on my truck for 10am. I arrived at the shop on time. I told "Scott" the manager that I was there for an inspection. He quickly told me that my truck would be there all day, that they were really busy. I said that's fine and told him the keys were in the truck. he seemed rather annoyed at this point and said "I don't think your truck will fit on our rack." I told him that it does. He sighed and said "I don't know" (I've been using this shop for every maintenance issue and inspection I've had on this truck.) So, he then asked for my registration card, and I said I have it on my phone. He quickly slammed down a business card and said "Email it to me" and walked away and out into the shop, within a minute or 2 he came back and said the truck won't pass inspection that it already failed because I have aftermarket wheels and tires on it. (Truck will pass with this set up as it has in the past.) Before I could reply he said "I'm just going to delete the email and deny the inspection." I walked out of the shop in complete shock as to what just happened. Inconclusion it felt he didn't even want my business. Rather annoyed at my presence than welcoming. His mannerisms and customer service skills are below standard. He clearly did not care for my business. It was one excuse after another to not do the inspection. Someone like this that is confrontational like this should not be in the capacity of a shop manager. I feel more training should go into Customer Service skills for him. I was there last week getting an inspection and Emmett the assistant mgr said I needed rotors and breaks. I said I did not have enough money was able to get back in the following Monday after I got the money. Amount did not vary and service was done in 3 hours without an appointment. Very impressive with the techs and the manager is on top of the building with at least 6 bays the have that place buzzing daily. Would definitely recommend them to anyone in the Moon Twp area. I made an appointment for state inspection for my son's car for a Friday. Appointment was verified. We arrived on Friday only to be told that they weren't able to do inspections on that day. No apologies for the inconvenience. Nothing. The gentleman only said that we could make another appointment. Since I had been going to Mr. Tire for years, I decided to give them another chance. We made another appointment for Tuesday. Appointment was verified. We arrived on Tuesday and were told once again that they are not doing inspections. Even though I had an appointment and both my son and I were inconvenienced once again, the man behind the counter was most unapologetic. I mentioned that a courtesy call - that we never received - to inform us of the cancellation would have been appropriate both for Friday and on Tuesday. On the way out the door, my son heard the man say "you could have called too". This unprofessionalism upset me to no end. I went back in and explained that I didn't call the second time because we had to get the inspection done and if it happened again we would just go somewhere else (and never go to Mr. Tire again). The same guy told me to get out, to get lost. From there, it devolved into name calling and insults from both sides. I have been a community member in Moon Township for 30 years and have never been treated with such disrespect and disregard. It is such a shame, since one of the main reasons I took my cars to Mr. Tire over the years was due to terrific customer service. Wish I could give 0 stars. Have had work done with them before, but haven't been there in a while. Dropped my car off on time to repair A/C for a 10am appointment. They didn't start looking at it until after 12:30. After 1:30, told me they wouldn't get the needed part until later and would have to keep the car overnight. I was stranded and had to wait for someone to come get me. Now closing out a second full day without the car, they can't tell me when it will be done. This has now gone past an inconvenience to a massive problem for trying to get family members to work. Really wish I had gone elsewhere for this. read more

I have never been treated so horribly and rudely as I was today (29 December) at Mr. Tire in Moon Township, PA. The background: I ordered a set of four Pirelli tires through Tire Rack, delivered today to the aforementioned Mr. Tire, according to FedEx. Tire Rack unfortunately split my order into two shipments, one originating in Louisiana, and the other one from Delaware. This afternoon, I called Mr. Tire to make an appointment for installation of said tires, upon which I was told that only three of the four tires had arrived. I asked the gentleman if he could tell me which of the two shipments contained only one tire, so that I could provide the information to Tire Rack as to which shipment was missing a tire. I was then shouted at, belittled, and told "as I have tried to explain to you multiple times, you need to call Tire Rack". I tried explaining to him that there were two shipments, and if he could tell me which of them contained only one tire, I could follow it up with Tire Rack. He wasn't interested. I told him there was no need to raise his voice to me or talk to me like I'm an idiot, both of which he did through almost the entirety of the conversation. I asked if I could speak to a manager -- he told me that he was the manager. I asked him several times which of the two shipments contained only one tire, upon which he told me there were no labels or any paperwork on any of the tires. This did not ring true to me, as how could the tires be attributed to their buyer if they contain no shipping or other information, so I asked him again "you're sure there's no shipping information or label or anything on the tires?" He hung up on me. To summarise, during the phone call, this man patently refused to give me any information about the tires or shipment, instead insisting the only course of action for me was to call Tire Rack, and he was audibly angry that I was trying to ask questions, repeatedly patronising me -- telling me that I wasn't listening, when it was clearly the other way around. As Mr. Tire had no interest in giving me any information over the phone, culminating in me being hung up on, in an effort to drive the issue to resolution, I went down to Mr. Tire, where I was confronted by Mr. Unbelievably Rude Manager. Again, I was shouted at, belittled, and told that I was telling him how to do his job. Now to be clear, the only information I had asked this gentleman for was which shipment contained only one tire. When the tires were brought in to the customer service area, the answer to my question was immediately apparent -- they were covered with shipping labels, indicating that what he had told me about the tires having no accompanying paperwork was a lie. Again, he hung up on me because I asked him to confirm there was no shipping information on the tires, a claim he made. I was accused of telling Mr. Unbelievably Rude Manager how to do his job, as he had been doing it for eight years. I know this as he told me. He also told me how he doesn't tell me how to do my job. He again refused to listen to anything I said, choosing to speak over me every time I tried to get a word in. As I tried to explain to him that all I wanted was the tracking number, which was right there on the tire in front of me, he over and over again repeated the mantra that I wasn't listening to him, and that he was always telling Tire Rack customers the same thing, and that none of them listen (we're all the same, evidently). I again tried to explain that all I had asked for was the shipping number, which was literally right on the tire in front of me. Mr. Unbelievably Rude Manager also told me he didn't care about my business, as I ordered the tires from Tire Rack and not from Mr. Tire. I told him that after this confrontation, I didn't want them to install the tires. He said "that's alright with me", and the told me "take your tires and go". I did, forthwith. Everyone has had a run-in with rude and inconsiderate employee over the years, but I honestly have never been treated as rudely as I was today. I know that dealing with the public can be frustrating, but all people in a customer-facing role must demonstrate respect for the customer. There was none demonstrated by Mr. Tire today. To this man, I was the personification of a repeated annoyance in his life, namely Tire Rack, and he chose to deal with it by mistreating me. This man, supposedly a customer-facing manager, was unhinged. I was slightly afraid that he might hit me. For the record, after I returned home from this unpleasant experience, I did call Tire Rack. Wouldn't you know that the first question I was asked was which tracking number was missing the tire. That's the same question I asked Mr. Unbelievably Rude Manager multiple times, and for which I was berated because I "wasn't listening". For the record, these tires were so that my family -- my wife and six children, can drive safely to South Carolina after the hardest year of our lives. Didn't need this. read more

Took it to another place in area and what was going to cost 800.00 only cost me 300.00 and it's running great. Made it back home a few states away and still no problems. Went in for an oil change a little over a month ago, arrived about 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment and was out within a half hour. They were friendly and fast and never tried to up-sell you to something you don't need, they take what you request and get it done. Went in to have 2 tires that I had already bought installed. Should have been around 60$, right? NOPE, They charged me 130$. One hundred and thirty dollars to get 2 tires that I had already purchased installed. They attached some fee for a tpms stem kit, which they did not need to do. Called my usual mr tire and they confirmed they usually do that for free. Got in my car and the tire pressure light was on, after paying what I know was too much, went to the gas station cause I didn't wanna deal with them anymore. my right tire psi was at 24 when it should have been 35. Like... common dude. 1/10 would not recommend. Can't even complete the work they over charged for I would suggest knowing exactly what you need done and how much it cost if you go there. Said wouldn't be anytime soon. Next time maybe call your appointments and let them know they need to reschedule if a machine is broken required for their appointment. I took my truck to this shop as it was recommended. I was deeply disappointed in their service. I found that they are a total rip off merchant. They will pad out your bill with unnecessary stuff and claim they have performed services that are clearly not performed. They are the sort of people that give the industry a bad name. It's a shame it sounded like they used to be a reputable service center. If you've taken a vehicle here recently get another mechanic to check out their work and then file a claim if you've been ripped off. read more

The customer service was great. They always squeezed me in for an appointment when I needed my car service. However; even though they'll receive tires from Tire Rack. They will not call Tire Rack's Roadside Hazard Team. Most of the tires on Tire Rack come with a 1 or 2 year warranty and will replace any tires you purchase from them if they are damaged. To get reimbursed, a certified mechanic that inspected the damaged tire needs to call the Roadside Hazard team (Which is standard procedure according to Tire Rakc). Mr. Tire refused to call the Roadside Hazard team, so I wasn't going to be able to get my reimbursement from the warranty. Additionally, the reason the tire was damaged was because when they installed the first set of tires they didn't install them properly causing the tires to gradually leak air. Because of these reasons I had to find a new mechanic. read more

Making an appointment was very easy and they were able to accommodate my busy schedule. I went in for an inspection and emissions test and ended up have to replace my back brakes. Paul was very helpful and discounted the services so I was able to afford both tires, rather than just one. I will always come back to Mr. Tire!! I had the worst experience here. My tire had a defect in it so the manager told me to get it fixed and return and he would put a sticker on it for 8 dollars. When I returned he refused to do so and told me I would need a whole new inspection. This was the manager and he was very rude and looking down on us like we knew nothing about what we talked about. He even yelled at us. Three months ago I would have given Mr tire moon 6 stars. With the new management I rate it zero stars. They now have a policy that you can't buy your own parts to be put on which means at least double the price for parts to begin with. Our whole experience was the worst I have had at any store in the last 20 years. I will be telling everyone I know not to go there. You can tell how bad they are because their lot used to be full now it is almost always empty. Hmmm I wonder why. read more

Rarely have I found an auto service center where the manager and employees truly care. This is one of those shops! I can't say enough good about it! Quick turn-around, very fair prices, honest, and they'll go above and beyond. I had a slow leak in my tire that I had to fill every week or so, and I kept meaning to get it fixed. On the first very cold morning of the year, it wouldn't inflate beyond a third of its suggested PSI. I got there just as they were opening. Stopped in on a Friday with a tire that had a nail in it. They ordered the matching tire and told us it would be in next day, and we could get it installed on Saturday. Drop off the car Saturday morning before 10a. Come back that evening, and the car is not done. No call on Sunday, so no car. Received a call on Monday that the vehicle was finished. Arrive Monday evening to be charged over $250 for one tire (Chevy Equinox, nothing special). Get out to the parking lot to get the car and see that the nail is still in the tire. Check all four tires and see that NO TIRE has been changed. We were charged for work that was NOT DONE and a TIRE that is still in THEIR GARAGE. CROOKS. Plain and simple. Their excuse was that they overlooked changing the tire. WHAT?!?!? REALLY??!?! You had one job. I would never trust them to fix something I could not see because they can't be trusted to fix something I could see. read more

Horrible right now. Total experience--they misplaced the key to our truck after we paid to have it towed there to work on, didn't tell us for over 5 days as we were assuming that entire time they were doing work. Installed a $215 battery without calling me to discuss options (when I complained, the first tactic was to tell me that it was a top of the line battery and I should be happy they installed it--when I commented that I could go across the street and buy a battery half that price from Advanced Auto and install it myself, they offered $80 off. Ok...should have called me first, but attempted to make it right. Moving on....). Couldn't give me my state inspection/emissions stickers because they reset the trip computer when they changed the battery. Asked me to come back at my convenience after I had driven for a couple of weeks to reset the trip computer--they told me I already paid for and passed the inspection/emissions tests and that all I'd need to do is come back for about 20 minutes at my convenience to get my stickers. Came back this week to be told that it's not going to take 20 minutes after all, but several hours. As I had planned on waiting for the truck and not dropping off, this wasn't going to work--so I set up another appointment for the weekend. Dropped off Saturday morning--get a call Saturday night that it's done. Pickup this morning to be told that I owe an additional $80 dollars. I protested with the manager saying that he told me I had already paid for the inspection and emission--he responded by saying "yeah, I know I told you that, but you didn't actually pay." I asked then about why my previous bill from my last visit started out as almost $300 for an oil change and battery (after I argued to get $80 off a battery I didn't want, I assumed my bill was reflecting an oil change, discounted battery and inspection/emissions test as the manager told me) and I get a line about how they put in the "cheapest battery we have" and how I "should be happy because (you) got a great deal." I paid my additional $80 for the inspection/emissions and got out of there knowing I won't be back. Best part--when I got home and pulled out the old bills, turns out yes--they were right...I didn't pay the inspection/emissions the first time around (even though the manager said I did). So I have no problem paying it. Turns out they really did charge me $200 for an oil change and battery I didn't want the first time around. But on the first bill, the total for inspections/emission that was noted as being "declined by the customer" was $58.90....and today they charged me $84.09 for the exact same thing. Service has been up and down here through the years (we've been going here since 2010), but never this disorganized. We're done with them now. At best, it's just poor management, but this is the first time I've felt like they're being shady with pricing. read more

My daughter ( 22 yrs old) took her Cobalt here to diagnose an engine noise. She was told that it was her oil pump, and that repairs would be somewhere around $900. Labor rate of $129!!! She was also quoted a price of $6000 to replace motor if needed?!?!?!?After talking to me, we decided that we would take the car to my TRUSTED mechanic. When we picked up the car, my mechanic checked, there was NO oil in the car! I got my car ( ford five hundred) inspected here today. I have had very bad inspection experiences at other places so I was nervous. Everyone there was very nice and helpful. Even let me watch them inspect the car. After the inspection was completed the cashier added on a $25 discount without me even having to ask! $42 for the inspection and $13 to replace a rear light. They have won my business and referrals to all that I know. Great honest job guys! read more
