Was charged $1314 dollars to do a full front brake job with rotors, pads and new calipers on a 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500. I think that is excessive. The service was good, but they didn't rebalance the front wheels, so the truck is shaking at high speeds going down the highway. I was over a barrel, because the caliper they showed me was cracked and damaged. The pads were down to the indicators and I would have to wait until early July to go to a dealership. Overcharged for fixing a tire .. he charged me twice as much as other tire shops. And when I complained and mentioned that other shops charge much less for a standard tire repair he said well I am Mr Tire, I.e. I don't care. I will never go back to this shop. Beware. read more

If zero stars was an option for customer service, that would be my rating for Mr rude tire in Tinton falls. Today (Saturday) I brought my car back to them because my tire light was on. I just had new tires put on by them two days prior. When I stopped there, I was dismissed and told to come back hours later and he would put it on the lift and check all the tires. When I did return at 3pm, I waited an additional hour while he was apparently doing some shady mechanical work on a friend/family car while paying customers sit and wait. While not honoring their warranty, he then said if we put it on a lift to check all the tires he would have to charge me and I would have to wait an additional hour. I will NEVER go back there and I will tell my whole network of friends and family to steer clear of this Mr. Tire in Tinton Falls, NJ. read more

Discovered a slow leak on Sunday afternoon and was headed back into NYC for the work week, facing possible risk of finding car with a total flat at my garage in the city on 4th of July. This place does NOT know how to deal with customers. I was quoted a price on tires. Thought it was was a great deal and I left my car there. I left a deposit. Returned to pick up when ready, different employees. Changed the price, and didn't include the deposit. Tried to deny they ever received a deposit. Took a long time to get everything sorted out, very rude and employees openly insulted me to a coworker, claiming I was lying / trying to get over on them. No, sorry, it's just your incompetence. Mr. Tire sold me 4 new tires last year and within a year I needed a replacement. I realize things happen so I purchased a new tire this past week. I was a little surprised AFTER paying that they told me they didnt have time to put it on my car. They said they were very busy and short handed. I get it. I asked if I could come back in an hour or even later since they were open for another 7hrs. Mr. Tire suggested that they would have time 2 days later to change a tire. I can change a tire in 20min but it would take them 2min (e.g. NASCAR). I then had a friend call to check their schedule for fixing a tire (new business) and surprise they had plenty of time. Its pretty simple customer service that is lacking and the lying isn't going to win them points with Santa. I can't recommend Mr. Tire BUT if your the hands on type who doesnt mind paying for a haircut only to be told "the scissors are right over there" or if your New Years resolution is to be more "hands on" with your tire maintenance then this is your place. I wouldn't be surprised if they offer a "patch it yourself" class on weekends at full cost. read more

Horrible customer service and lying S.O.B., whoever worked during afternoon shift at Mr. Tire in Tinton Fall, NJ should be fired immediately!! I had a flat tire on 3/10/2015, so I brought it in for a quick fix, but the mechanic told me that my car is "too low" and the tires couldn't be taken off my car! To add insult to injury, he told me that he was the "only person" working and he didn't have time to change my tire, even though it was around 4:00 pm and they close at 7:00pm. I will never step foot in that store! I would have chosen a zero rating if there was one! read more

Everybody's always looking for a good repair place tp bring their vehicles. Ive been living in this area for quite some time and seems like every mechanic thinks they are tops and do the best work and charge the least amount of money. Guess what? It's all B.S. Most are just full of them selves and and usually give you some song and dance about things that are wrong and what you need. You go in thinking its only a small thing , until they give you the price , which usually knocks your socks off. Ive had numerous problems with repair places in the area until i found upon Mr.Tire in Shrewsbury. The place is run by a gentleman named Gary. He is the most warm and friendly and accommodating guy Ive ever seen in this business. I first brought one of my cars in for an oil change. I got an immediate appointment, and was in and out in 45 minutes, fairly impressive!. Then my wifes car needed an oil change and a new headlight bulb, I called and they gave her an appointment exactly as she needed it as she works strange hours in retail. Same results, Gary was great ansd as usual totally accomodating, and she was in and out in less then an hour, including checking brakes, and fluids, and the original repair she needed. So I'm getting pretty happy with this place! i told him how impressed with the level of presonal service that was shown and also a high level of abilty. i told him he would be getting all the cars in my family, which is 5. was coming home from work on Staten island the other late afternoon, when i had a blowout on the parkway. Took the tire off and put on the space saver spare. Drove right to Mr Tire to see Gary and told him I was really in a pinch and needed a tire right away as i ddnt want to drive the car to Staten Island on the donut tire. It was late but he assured me he would take care of it immediately. i dont think it was 25 minutes later and he told me i was all done, a brand new tire mounted and balanced. He told me he sold it to me at his cost and wouldnt charge me labor! Really? are you kidding me? who does that today, serioulsly? My son the other day calls me and says dad my truck is barwely running its making all sorts of noise and has no power. he was at the mall with his g/f. What should he do? i told him to call Gary at Mr Tire. as expected by now, Gary told him to bring it right over, he put it on the lift and did a diagnoses, and told him to drive it slow home and bring it back 9am the next morning while he orderd the parts needed immediately. Next day he brought it back and had it fixed in under 2hrs. Told him he would save him a few bucks seeing that he was just a teenager and didnt have alot of money! Im sur e if yiour reading this your getting an idea of what my family thinks of Gary at Mr. Tire in Shrewsbury. He;s tops in mty books, has never let me down and I tell everybody about how good this place is. Try it, trust me, he will do the right thing by you. It's nice to know that finally i've found a place I can rely on and feel comfortable with. After going there for years I will NEVER go back. When Gary Was manager I got the truth...he is gone and all i get is up-sell, up-sell, up-sell. BS!!! Today, an oil change & tire rotation gets done and they try to up-sell me on a coolant flush - THEY JUST DID ONE IN SEPTEMBER!!!! Either they are lying today or they never did the coolant flush in Sept - Mark apologizes because he didn't check my records in the computer but goes on to defend his mechanic. Thank you everyone at Mr Tire ! I had a tire blow out the previous night and needed a new tire. I limped into Mr. Tire at 9:20 AM on the 'doughnut' spare and explained that I needed to be at work by 11 am. As a delivery driver, I rely on my car a great deal and Mark the manager couldn't have been more accommodating. He sold me a comparable new tire at a very reasonable price that was the bottom line price. The technician went right to work and I was at work 15 minutes early! I cannot express how how grateful I am for everyone at Mr. Tire. They exceeded my expectations and would recommend this business to anyone and everyone. They have free wireless so I was able to retrieve my Email and pay a few bills while I waited !
