In a cold climate where snow for months on end is the norm and your parking spot is outside, a remote car starter is a necessity, not a luxury. As GoT reminded us, "Winter is Coming", and I knew that I had limited time to get one installed before the cold set in. After a brief Google search, I decided Mr Tunes was the place to get mine installed. From the first phone call, the team at Mr Tunes was friendly and professional. The employee I spoke with talked me through the options for remote starters, and I decided on the one that I wanted and scheduled a date and time. They had availability as early as within a week. On the appointed day, I dropped off my car and was given an estimate for when it would be ready. A half hour before that time, the employee called to say that my car was ready. When I arrived back, he showed me how the remote starter worked and talked me through how it could start, unlock, and lock the car, and how to drive once my car was warmed up (ie, no need to crank the engine since it was already on). I got my remote starter installed not a day too soon, as it got cold and snowy this week. Getting into a warm car on a dark and freezing morning has been worth every penny that I spent on it! read more

Scheduled an appointment to get it checked out and they reset it (only took a couple minutes), free of charge and it has been working great ever since! UNRELIABLE BUSINESS PLACE. They installed 2 amps, one for speakers and one for a sub to my factory radio (Toyota prius) with a audio control unit as a converter from my stock radio. CRAZY! The final job sounded WORSE! Lower than the factory system (jbl) and so distorted when I passed the volumen from 30 level. I told them my unhappiness and disappointment but they tried to convince me of that was normal. I went home. But after being so annoyed by not being able to raise the volume and a extra noise every time when I started the car (which I notice a day after) took it back. They said will fix it. Work was done and same! After showing my unhappiness with the installation they started to be very rude. And that they couldn't do anything else for me. Going back and forth and not willing to loose my money and now with the issue of uninstalling everything and get it fix. Days later of keep calling to ask what are they going to do to fix it. The guy at the front desk (forgot his name/ white chubby guy) who at the end argued that probably was the amps and audio control unit being defective. said come get your $350 that I was charge for installation only (I provided NEW in sealed box all the electronics) Layer I uninstalled everything myself and took it to another shop when I did a family trip to Florida to get it hopefully properly reinstall. Since! I can listen to my favorite tunes without distortion and enjoying the power of the electronics. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else in Michigan/Detroit. I see this store on the way to work every day so when I bought a used car that had just a CD player, I decided to try them out. I needed a simple Bluetooth radio installed and I had a budget. The man at the front desk made his recommendation and it sounded like exactly what I wanted. I paid and hung out in their waiting room, using their wifi for way less than an hour then the installer came and got me and went through all the buttons and features and tada! a little to pricey..but the front component speakers i bought for the front doors are very nice sounding..plus unlike state of the art car audio on michigan ave in ypsilanti, they dont hide in the back with the door locked and not or hardly ever answering the phone. read more

I took my vehicle in to get an aftermarket radio installed, and I took it in about an hour before they closed. They had it installed and everything the next morning by 10am. Great customer service, great work done, they even let me know that my driver side window was messed so I should get it looked at. My first time writing a review. Felt it was only fair since I used the reviews to make this purchase. We wanted to put a remote start in our 2008 Honda CRV. I did a search for places here on Yelp and came across the good reviews with Mr. Tunes and called them. He was very helpful and informative on the phone. Once we got to the shop, we decided to install both a remote starter and bluetooth radio. He had them both installed in about 90 minutes. Afterwards he helped us pair our phone and showed us how to work both devices. Both devices are working great. Totally recommend them. Good prices, great service. The only con is trying to get out of the parking lot during rush hour. ;) But totally worth it. read more

I had an appointment today to have a HID install done on my new 2016 Sorento. They said they don't usually do them anymore because of how finicky aftermarket kits can be. I told them I had a kit already and they said they would just charge me their hourly rate. I get a call a little bit later after dropping it off and they said that there was a problem with my kit missing an adapter. I arrived to have the tech show me exactly what was needed before he put everything back together. I fully expected to pay for their trouble since i did take up a bay and at least a good half hour of their time. To my surprise they said no charge and juts bring it in when I had the adapter. I had an issue with it that turned out to be a manufacturer's defect and they swapped it out for a new one, quickly. I have also purchased a remote starter and again, they did a great job.
