chairs, two lounges and two ottomans re-slung with heavy-duty fabric

Scott and Ryan are terrific. Very customer-friendly and very customer- caring people. I brought my 54-year old Singer sewing machine in to them because I had a big sewing job coming up with heavier than normal material. They did a great tune up and the machine breezed through 8 yards of fabric to re-sling 7 outdoor chairs, one chaise lounge and two ottomans. Scott even did some sample sewing with the heavy material I was going to be using when I went to pick the machine up to demonstrate how the machine will do with the fabric. This gave me extra confidence when I brought the machine home to complete my job. I also us them for parts and tune-ups on my Panasonic vertical vacuum. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They are a pleasure to work with.

Larry suggested a much less pricey Riccar, that has a beater bar that never has that problem.

I've lived in my house for 30 years, so I have replaced a lot of appliances. All of my appliances were happily purchased at Spencer's. I bought a KitchenAid dishwasher in early November 2025 and absolutely loved it until it stopped working in early April 2026. I called Spencer's, and they gave me a number to call to set up arrangements for the warranty repair. I had to make continuous calls to Spencer's and their repair service throughout a 3-month period (and SIX service calls). Yes, you read that right... THREE months to get a 5-month-old dishwasher repaired. It was finally fixed last week. It was a leaky gasket. A measly gasket that was missed in 4 of the 6 service calls. Spencer's had excuse after excuse for this taking so long, yet didn't stay in contact with progress reports or apologies. There have been two times in the past couple of years that I have defended Spencer's here on NextDoor when some of my neighbors complained about their service, and now I understand what my neighbors must have gone through, and I apologize for not listening to you more closely. I have three appliances that will soon be 10 years old, so I know they will need replacing soon (as we all know, they don't make them like they used to), but I'll tell you one thing, Spencer's Appliance will not get one more nickel from me. And if I can save someone from going through the stress they put me through these past THREE MONTHS, my job is done. BTW, I'm a senior on a very limited income, so the close to $1000 (when all was said and done) I spent on that dishwasher was not an easy purchase for me, but very arthritic hands make a dishwasher a necessity for me.

Other dealers wanted to sell me bigger side by sides or would charge to deliver and another change to take away the old appliance (Spencer's). They also wanted to sell me a separate (new) hook up for the water, another $15. Yanira had what I wanted and the price was right and did not charge for delivery or removal of old frig. Unfortunately, the frig that was delivered (after I had water line fixed in wall) would not work the ice maker. Yanira and Anna both arranged for a new ice maker to be installed (2nd trip). Still ice maker would not co-operate and refused to provide me with ice. Now the GOOD part comes, Not wanting to be out done, Yanira and Anna got me another 30" frig with ice maker. Keep it hooked up over two nights to make sure it would work and then at my convenience, delivered it (3rd trip) and had it installed. Now my tenant (Brother in Law) is happy and no longer refers to me as an A/H. Thanks, YANIRA AND ANNA will be using you again in the future. GOOD PRICES, GOOD DELIVERY, GOOD SERVICE! I was told that there was a 30 day warranty on their appliances and I even have a receipt stating that fact . I have tried calling them and emailing them for 3 weeks now and cannot get a call back or any contact from them. So, what good is a warranty if you do not answer your phone or emails when a customer calls? After trying to contact them by phone and email, I went to the location of the store and they are GONE!!! Shady, fly by night company! DO NOT buy from this dishonest seller!!!!! If I could give them less than one star, I would, based on their honesty and integrity alone.

I thought this policy to be fair. I continued the next following days with communications of my continued intentions to purchase range with Carol (the owner). Finally, after a few days I called up Carol and told her I would be picking up the range that day. She said that she was glad I called because someone had offered her more money. Carol assured me it was still my appliance, but that she was unsure that it would accomodate my 3 prong plug and that she would call me back. I decided not to wait for the call and drove to pick up MY appliance. Well it seems as if I was too late that it had already been sold to someone else! She offered to send a repairman over to check if my range could be repaired, but my husband was adament that this business could not be trusted and he didn't want any more dealings with them. I felt that others should be aware of their "sell to the highest bidder" tactic and not be honest with their sales and communications.
