Breaded chicken Parmesan with a side of spaghetti and meatball.
    David E.

First time I had the pleasure of eating at this historic Niagara Falls restaurant and was more than happy with my meal and the staff. The chicken parmigiana cutlet was by far the best I've had at any Italian restaurant. Huge portions with a side of spaghetti and a homemade sauce that was fantastic! The waitress was extremely pleasant and attentive to our needs as well. Come a little earlier for dinner on the weekend because it fills up fast. A nice atmosphere for a family dinner or a date night! Unfortunately, the only downside is the sketchy area around the restaurant. It's a shame. Bad area but great restaurant/food. Parking seems pretty secure.

An "isolated spot" for such a restaurant in downtown Niagara Falls USA, BUT actually a hidden gem! Looking at the area, it's just across the street from a children's park I've photographed previously! We were the first ones to dine tonight, though after we were served, the dam burst and the crowd flooded the dining area! Has a very large and spacious parking lot behind the building. Looks like it was just resurfaced too and equipped with a security camera! While eating and with a clear view of the children's park - Liberty Park - two NFPD police cars drove past with an interval of about 20 mins between the other! Really! Wife had her standard spaghetti and meatballs, while I enjoyed the Shrimp Scampi, and I lost count at 13 of how many shrimp were in the dish. The shrimp aren't just on top but even in and below the capellini!! I've had angel hair before, and this was just a weeee bit thicker. When we departed, the whole dining room seemed to be completely filled and with a good chatter that says everyone's having a great time, served by very attentive help! Be sure to save up for this experience, but it's very worthwhile! Just wishing the help would smile a bit more! Ciao!

Still our favorite Italian Restaurant. Been coming here for over 60 years. They have the best Italian salad dressing. I love their spaghetti with meat sauce and the Veal Parm , which is their specialty. Service is always great. Decor hasn't changed in decades.

Italian cuisine off the chart! Authentic and delicious. My shrimp scampi was lemony and garlicky and and chock full of delicious tender shrimp on a bed of angel hair pasta. This must be one of the best scampi I've ever had! $27 on the special Lenten menu. My girlfriend enjoyed the greens and beans pasta. $20. Light and delicious, vegetarian, she said. Service was quick, polite and attentive. The ambience is traditional Italian. A little oldish - but nice. White tablecloth. Dim lighting. Comfortable. I would definitely return when I'm visiting the Falls again.

We went to Fortuna's for the first time last night. It was a lovely restaurant with white tablecloth and a very old school Italian fine dining vibe. The staff were all dressed formally and were very kind, efficient, friendly and attentive. We started off with cocktails and the Espresso Martini was excellent. The cocktail menu had many options. We received complimentary fresh bread with butter and dinner salad with our order. The house Italian dressing was on point. The bread was very fresh and tasted homemade. Our appetizer was baked eggplant and was delectable. I decided on the chicken piccata that came with pasta and it was very tasty. My only disappointment was I had hoped for more variety of desserts. I chose the Lemon crème pie to go which was just ok. This a great place and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

Thought that we would give this Italian restaurant a try. We didn't need a reservation. I felt the need to have a steak, very good cut-of-meat. Steak cooked medium rare ("that wasn't a question"). Comfortable environment with rat-pack music playing in the background. Friendly customer service.

We love the dressing here. I was making a dinner and decided to order on the phone and pick up 3 side salads to accompany my meal. The girl on the phone then asked if I wanted cheese on them. I said sure and chose mozzarella from the choices she gave me. When I asked how much thr salads were she said 27.00. I thought that was high for 3 side salads, but thought they would be a decent size. When I picked up the order it came to 38.88. She didn't mention the additional 9.00 for the cheese! Tipped 2.00. So, $40.00 for 3 small salads that consisted of approx 2 cups of LETTUCE, 2 small cherry tomatoes and some cheese. And to make matters worse, only 2 tablespoons of dressing. The photos show how small they were. That is a 1 cup measure cup for size purposes. SO disappointed. If the portions had been larger, it wouldn't have been SO bad, but still. It's freaking lettuce!

    So delicious - Veal Parmigiana

I am extremely grateful to the restaurants owner for reaching out to me after my previous experience. I was asked to give them another consideration by visiting the restaurant and I was thoroughly impressed. The recognition of a customers displeasure and the desire to make it right is what makes any restaurant stand above the rest. I enjoyed the best veal parmigiana this side of the Atlantic. It was perfectly breaded and extremely tender. The cheese and sauce were well balanced and made the meal worth the second trip. And to wrap up the meal I was very pleased with their cannoli's, they were crisp and sweet with just the right amount of chocolate chips and no fruit. My server, Joslyn, was extremely courteous and always checked to make sure how the meal was going. I was extremely delighted to see a huge difference between my previous experience to what is was this time. The overall experience and the realization that the owner of this phenomenal restaurant does take the comments of their customers to heart is what all restaurants should be like. I am honored and humbled to be contacted by the owner to ensure my unfortunate experience was not overlooked. Thank you for the experience and the recognition and offering of discounts to military and first responders. I will always remember this restaurant and will definitely recommend this establishment to all.

The atmosphere and drinks were nice. It is reasonably priced, but the sauce was very runny. The ravioli I had an odd sweet flavor as well.

The short review: We 100% recommend Sound of Harmony!!! They did a phenomenal job!…read more The long review: From the very beginning, they made the whole process very easy for us - not only the DJ and music selection elements, but the entire wedding. We had an initial walk-through with Shane (owner/manager), Steve (MC) and Ross (DJ), who asked us a few questions so they could better understand us and make recommendations for our wedding - e.g. what kind of music we like, how did I my wife and I meet, how would we describe each other, etc... This walkthrough was very helpful as we had no idea what we were doing and gave us a good idea of what to expect and what we needed to prepare in the coming months. To add another layer of difficulty, we were trying to coordinate a wedding in Niagara on the Lake, ON, while living in Boston, Massachusetts. They checked-in with us from time to time with more elements to consider and to discuss the details of the timeline for our wedding. As we got closer to the event date, we had a few Skype sessions with Steve, our MC. We provided him with some very ambiguous and open-ended information about our bridesmaids, groomsmen and parents that he was able to, somehow, turn into beautiful introductions for each person before they gave their speeches. Steve not only went above and beyond prior to the event to make us feel comfortable with how things were going to go, but during the event as well - introducing his great sense of humor throughout without overpowering the event. Steve was so beloved, in fact, that at the end of the event much of the wedding party asked to have them join them for drinks while they continued the celebrations that night. Ross was the DJ during the event. As a half "American", half Ukrainian wedding, we threw a very complicated set at him. We gave him songs that were in another language with varying styles that he needed to balance with a mix of traditional jazz and 90s pop music. He was able to pull this off without a hitch and read the crowd very well. Ross was great about taking requests from the guests. We had a diverse group of people - with equally diverse tastes - whose requests he was able to satisfy and blend into the overall style/feel we wanted for the evening. We also had Sound of Harmony provide blue uplights - which we highly recommend as well. It added a nice feel around the room where we felt something would have been missing otherwise. It's a small addition, but makes a big impact. We couldn't have asked for a better team to DJ our event. Working with them was by far the easiest part of wedding planning. The day of the wedding we still had a lot of things to keep in mind and take care of but the DJ and the MC were not one of them. We are truly thankful for all their hard work! They absolutely nailed it!

The property is easy to reach and within walking distance of local attractions, provided you don't mind a somewhat longer walk. The common areas were spacious and appeared well maintained. What used to be the fenced-in primary parking lot is now a construction zone, complete with the noise, dust, and debris that come with it. A sign on the door apologized for the inconvenience and explained that the disruption was due to an ongoing expansion project. However, the hotel should be more transparent and post this information on its website, as many other properties do. Had I known about the construction, I would have asked more questions or possibly chosen another hotel. Finding out upon arrival leaves few options--and I suspect that may be the reason the construction isn't advertised. The hotel now offers parking across the street in an area that appears to lack any security and is adjacent to abandoned buildings. Please be cautious when crossing the street to the hotel; several cars did not yield to pedestrians. I don't mind paying for parking when there's value (such as proximity and security) but the current setup feels more like a quick cash grab. The room itself was spacious but showed clear signs of wear and tear. I might have overlooked that had the room been properly cleaned. The floor needed vacuuming; the microwave had a dried spill; surfaces were wiped down with something that left a noticeable film; the windows and TV screen were streaked; there were mosquitoes or gnats flying around; the balcony doors hadn't been cleaned in quite some time; some lights didn't work; and the couch cushions were placed upside down. These details, among others, gave the impression of poor housekeeping and inattentive maintenance. There is a fitness room and an indoor pool, but you must go to the front desk to gain access to the pool, an odd policy with no clear explanation. Perhaps once the expansion is complete, this property will be worth another try. For now, when I'm in Niagara, I'll stay elsewhere. The experience simply fell short in too many areas.

I recently visited Buffalo for a concert. I hadn't been back to the city in well over a decade…read more Back when I frequented the city more often, I'd stay by Walden Galleria Mall. The area had great shopping and food. Hotel rates have shot up these days. I did a search and found that I could shave off a total of $100 USD if I stayed at this Courtyard in Niagara Falls instead. The move worked out extremely well. I was here for two nights and loved my stay. I came here on a Sunday. I had had a late lunch and did some grocery shopping before checking in. I had no problem finding this hotel and parking in the lot. Parking is $10 a night. I'm guessing that you pay for parking because Seneca Niagara Casino is a two-minute drive away. I am the type who loves self-directed, touristy learning. As soon as I walked through the automatic sliding doors with my rolling luggage, backpack, and groceries, I was met with photos and captions of decades past. OMG! This hotel is where Niagara Chocolate Company used to be. I was staying in a chocolate factory. Er, okay, sort of. It didn't smell like chocolate, but just the thought of being in one was cool. I had Courtney, the best staffer at this hotel. She checked me in. She made sure that I knew where everything was, from the bistro for breakfast, to the elevator. This hotel was being renovated, so the pool was unavailable. I frankly didn't hear any construction while I stayed at this hotel. I had the opposite experience. It was so quiet that I loved it. She asked me if I had a vehicle. I did. I got a parking pass that you place on your dashboard when you park in the lot. I don't know if having a pass was enforced, but I never had any issues. I am digging Courtyard hotels these days. I had an excellent experience at the one in Ottawa. It was a carbon copy here. My room did feel like my home away from home. I thank the concert getting me out and being curious to check out the area. I had brought in drinks and fruit, which stored nicely in the mini fridge. My room also had a microwave, which was perfect for my needs. The bed was a king. It was comfortable and spacious. I slept well both nights. There were plenty of outlets to charge my phone and use my laptop. Everything was great. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The counterspace by the sink was generous for my toiletries and more. The shower was great with the perfect water pressure. There were lots of clean towels. Liquid soap, shampoo, and conditioner were filled up in their respective dispensers. My room had a balcony. It was so warm for late March that I checked it out. This hotel is in an industrial area, with touristy spots like this hotel and the casino that broke the monotony up. It's kind of weird, but cool simultaneously. I worked remotely from my hotel on Monday. I had food delivered to my room twice through DoorDash. No issues there. I asked Courtney if I could check out late on Tuesday afternoon. She said that I could up to 4 pm as a platinum elite member. I only needed to be there till 1 pm. Done! This woman was fabulous. She needs a raise for being so helpful and nice during my entire stay. My floor had a lot of historical photos and information under each one. I felt like I was at a museum, but without the gift shop. It was up my alley and was a wonderful bonus at this hotel. I loved staying here. It was a gem of a find! I'd love to return to this area and stay here again. (145)

Room 427 was spacious, with excellent turning radius for my power wheelchair and plenty of strategically placed outlets for charging. The bed was plush and comfortable, and the room featured a large wall-mounted flat-screen TV, refrigerator, safe, and an ice machine conveniently located down the hall. The fourth floor was mostly peaceful during my stay. Three nights were quiet, while two were a bit noisy with people running through the hallways, likely due to graduation season. Most importantly, the bathroom earns a solid 9/10. The roll-in shower was well designed, with amenities mounted at wheelchair height and backup bottles available on the sink. This is one detail many hotels still get wrong, so kudos to Sheraton for getting it right. The lobby was chic, modern, and stylish, with multiple lounge-style seating areas that comfortably accommodated the steady flow of guests. The spacious layout was easy to navigate as a wheelchair user. Accessibility extended beyond the hotel room. The Starbucks, Rainforest Cafe, breweries, arcade, and the Reef Beach Club pool area were all accessible. The concierge team was friendly and knowledgeable, and the staff, especially manager Dani, were consistently helpful and available throughout my stay. Location is another major plus. The hotel sits directly across from the Seneca Resort & Casino, about five blocks from Niagara Falls and Niagara Falls State Park. The free Discover Niagara Shuttle stops right outside the hotel, making it easy to get around without a car. Bonus points: there's a 7-Eleven just three blocks away for affordable snacks, drinks, and late-night munchies. I stayed a few nights here recently for work... Pulling up, it's in a date, rundown part of town,…read morewhich clearly used to be based on heavy tourism, but doesn't seem to have as much going on anymore. The hotel itself from the outside is very unattractive and also not very appealing, looking dated and in need of refreshing. Checking in was simple and very helpful and friendly. They do have a very odd parking system here where they don't have valet and when you self-park, you bring the ticket in for them to scan and make active for a day. You'll need to do this daily (every day and a half or so), so keep those tickets when you come back in. The lady who checked me hit all the points and was descriptive in explaining the hotel. When I got to the room the first thing I noticed was the horrible, stained, and old brown carpet. The room was really dated and definitely in need of being refurbished. I did see posters in the hotel showing that they're going to refurbish the rooms, but I'm not sure why hotels let them get like this. They go an easy 10 years past prime, I suppose it's to make money back on the expense of the previous refurbishment. Anyway, it's rather disgusting to walk in rooms like this, but I will say that housekeeping here was probably some of the best I've experienced in a very long time! Each day I came back to the room, the room was refreshed and the bed looked very smooth, not wrinkled, made to perfection! The TV was great too because it offered Pluto as part of the streaming offerings, which I love. The common areas are pretty wild here as they look really nice. There's a Rainforest Café attached to the hotel. The pool looks pretty nice and has a large aquarium in it. There's also another large aquarium in the lobby area. The elevators are rather run down, hopefully they're refurbishing them as well. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay, despite the looks of everything. I was able to get a decent sleep and the concierge lounge on the 6th floor was staffed by decent folks in the morning for breakfast. So there were decent parts of this stay.
