Really close to my house, I like going here when I crave chicken. It's clean, but old, but the cashier is very nice and helps explain the different Greek foods on the menu. I got the Greek chicken dinner, which includes a choice of coleslaw or soup, slice of garlic bread, two potatoes, rice, and half a chicken. Chicken has the right amount of lemon and spices, very savory and juicy, the best Greek chicken in Chicago! I tried the gyro and it was ok. It could have more bread in the meal. The burger was also only ok. It could have been more seasoned and juicier. Overall very affordable for the Greek chicken dinner, bc it was about $15 for half a chicken with a ton of sides. well a great person after meeting them up with jolly in Polish buffet mentioned about this place. originally I wanted to put a Thai restaurant but it was too far and I was doing some errands after coming from a job interview with the post office being so slow. I would probably come back for their chicken which is their signature as well as the spinach pie.. in regards to their gyros plate the gyros is typically cooked like most of places that serve gulyros unlike a place up in Morton Grove called char-broiled when they serve American Euros the meat is very moist and not to dry. with the gyros plate they give you at least lentil soups which was the soup of the day or chicken noodle and I was in the mood for chicken noodle or I could have gotten a coleslaw. Anyways it was decent but nothing that I would come back for since it didn't have the wow factor on the gyros. that person who I met at Jolly inn polish buffet despite being Greek American disappointed on what she describes the best. thus only 4 Stars. very bad experience and horrible food with poor presentation, a few weeks ago everything was super good, the rice tasted good, the potatoes were small and tasted exquisite, the chicken was a good size and tasted delicious, the coleslaw was very delicious too.... today when I went the same person from a few weeks ago was no longer there, I asked for him and they told me that he is no longer there and that he handed the business over to the previous owners, I spoke to the person who was there today Sunday and he told me that they have returned to the old recipes that work better! that is not true, today they gave me reheated food because the chicken kabob that I ordered took a long time to give it to me because they cooked it at the moment, and it had grilled vegetables, today's did not have grilled vegetables and had two huge pieces of potatoes, the supposed onion and tomato salad was horrible, they did not put the white sauce that was there before, it was wasted money because we did not like the taste of anything, the food was horrible! I called the person and he told me that's what it is now and that they're not going to change. I told him that today he was losing a customer who bought at least three times a week, and he responded that he didn't care that they have more customers coming in. Total disappointment. I will begin here. I work in the area, as I mentioned before I have gone passed this location while on my way to work. I said one day I will stop in. I took a walk to dunning square, ran a quick errand. Had some time during my lunch, so I made my stop. I was greeted as I walked in. Which was welcoming. The service was beyond amazing. The food was also top notch. I ordered the cheeseburger lunch special, one of the best burgers I have had. The location is spacious, the ambiance is comfortable and warm. I am glad I stopped in. One of my friend's would order from this location for our office gatherings. One of the staff thanked me for coming, she saw my ID, and I said I work up the street. I will return soon. read more

Back in Chicago for a quick visit and stopped in to grab lunch. Amazing as always, I was able to snap a picture of my wife's Gyro Plate, but my beef and sausage combe went down too fast for the camera to catch it. Both were perfect and what you expect for a Chicago style joint. Gyro off the pit and perfectly cooked. Tzatziki homemade with fresh cucumber and the Italian Sausage was beyond my expectations! No small sizes here...full size meals. First the Italian Beef meal with fries and a drink ($8.75). Thick and fully loaded sandwich. Tender sliced roast beef. Get napkins!!! Cheeseburger meal ($6.95). Son ate it, so i cannot judge. However, the patty is handmade and my son said it was really good. Now Meal #8 Mr. Zee's Special Chicken ($8.75). 3 pieces of thigh meat, grilled. Tender and juicy. Served with a bed of rice pilaf and some thin sliced pan fried potatoes. This should be #1 not #8. My wife said the float ($2.99) was really sweet....a good dessert. There are separate restrooms. The Men's room was spacious, but was out of paper towels. There is a smalled shared parking lot. Not some of the stall lines are faded so its hard to tell where each stall is located. read more

I've been here many years ago the food was really good, This time that I went the food wasn't as good. I had the ribs the sauce had flavor but the ribs where dry. The fries where steak fries and for steak fries not too bad. The garlic bread was a little salty for my taste but was edible. The soup was probably the thing that I enjoyed the most. My frequent item of choice is the Grilled Chicken Breast Dinner. Served with rice pilaf, oven baked potatoes, garlic bread and your choice of salad or coleslaw ($7.55). Other favorites are the Mr. Zee's Special Char-Broiled Chicken special ($6.75). Both entrees take about 10 minutes to prepare but if you are hungry it feels like 10 hours. As stated earlier...call ahead its so worth it. They do not take credit cards, cash only. Prices may seem to appear high once they total your food order bill but I think that's just the high chicago tax kicking in. read more

I have been coming here almost weekly for about 5 years and it was one of my favorite places, healthy options and near home. In the last few months, the staff has changed and there has been an issue every single time I've come. They carelessly leave items out of orders, get the order wrong, and today I waited 45 minutes for a salad that I called in ahead of time. I'm extremely disappointed. The food keeps me coming back but if these service issues continue I think I'll part ways. I hope they improve the staff soon. I have been ordering from here again lately. The polish is still very good and an excellent deal. When their fries are hot, they are fantastic. The Italian beef is OK, it's kind of what I would expect in this area. They put a lot of meat, but the bread is so dry it's like if you ordered a steak sandwich. You won't find a lot of flavor and the meat has a really stinky smell when you reheat the sandwich. Don't even bother with the gyros. read more

The food is great here! I always come here, and the same older lady works here. She's very kind with great customer service. I came in today, and I wanted to try their milkshakes. The older lady said that she doesn't make milkshakes when she is alone. I'd understand if the place was extremely busy and if there was a huge line, but there wasn't anyone behind waiting to be helped. what started off well for a late lunch. the young lady that took our order, was nice, respectful and professional. we asked if we could get a free refill on a small fountain drink if needed. She said yes. Food was great and shift changed Debbie took over. I have been coming here for years. I guess Debbie was having a bad day. But when my partner approached counter as other lady left, she told him Debbie would take care of us. Well not only did she refused free refill, she said we had to pay. (money was no problem) but we paid with crefit card, no cash in hand and she refused refill and said we dont take credit card for refills.
