Omg Mr Claws has to be the best Cajun Sea Food Boil in the Valley. Sea food is fresh, and their house sauce is amazing. The service awesome, the owner Kite is so sweet. I went to Mr Claws yesterday and ordered the Cajun shrimp. The young guy who helped me was very nice and attentive, but the food itself was honestly terrible. The more I tried adding things to my plate for flavor, the worse it got. I don't understand how this place has 4 stars it's definitely not worth the money. Hi Haley, recommend this place move out to Indio from Los Angeles very difficult to find a boiling crab place with this spot really hit it off. The food is delicious. I highly recommend the garlic noodles with the lobster tail and let's not talk about the wing their service is amazing. First time trying this place; I picked up an order for my husband & I, I ordered a pound of shrimp with mussels with the mild house sauce; and a side of garlic noodles; everything was tasty but the quantity of garlic noodles was very small, I was disappointed when I opened at home; the young gentleman that helped me, Trinity he was so sweet, polite & professional.. Crawfish were over cooked & tough. I am from Louisiana so I know how crawfish taste when properly cooked. Clams were very small. $45 is too much for their dinner for two. Sausage, corn & potatoes were good. read more

I will drop money on great food... this was worth it. Every bite I had was a happy dance! I bought their biggest plate. "Clawsome Party" It was HUGE!!!! Deff feeds an army. Everything was DELICIOUS! I know what I ordered was on the pricy side but it was worth it with every bite. I ate like a king and I pry looked like a toddler with how messy I got haha The michelada was DELICIOUS as well. The service was AMAZING! Neveah was so sweet. She was on it with the quickness. Hope to see her again. Also, I believe I met the owner as well. He was also very nice. You will deff be seeing me more. We have driven by Mr Claws so many times and I really wanted to try it! Finally, we had some company in from LA and we decided to make a night of it. Mostly, we really loved it. The service was AWESOME. For an appetizer we ordered seasoned fries and coconut shrimp. Not really impressed with this. Fries not really seasoned, and the shrimp were clearly frozen and nothing special. For dinner we ordered shrimp (with out heads), mussels, corn, sausages in our bag with the Mr Claws sauce in mild. This was absolutely the best part. The seafood was delicious!!! EZ peel shrimp, mussels were yummy, the sauce was awesome! The sausage was spicy and really tasty. Sadly the corn was super mushy, maybe previously frozen, or just way over cooked? Not sure, but would not order the corn again. The garlic noodles were probably the biggest miss for us! No flavor, no presentation, just blah. which was quite surprising. Awesome garlic noodles are really easy to make. Noodles, garlic, butter, cheese, chopped parley, toss and go. Maybe they will revist the recipe? I am now seeing many people in other reviews that felt the same. Overall - This place has SO MUCH potential! It could be incredible, and really busy. It just needs a slight amount of fine tuning in the kitchen and it would be amazing. More homemade less frozen, with a little more love in the food and they would be such a hot spot! And even with that constructive criticism, we would definitely go back, but would order a little more carefully. read more

Leaving a review so the owner gets a heads up - Came here at 730 on a Thursday night and some of the lights were off, the open sign was on but there was no one there to even greet us?? Also, not a single person was eating there? Felt a little sketchy... Called out but no one came out. Lol will try next time and hopefully get the experience everyone was raving about! read more

Found this place on Yelp & decided to give it a try. I've been craving seafood, so this looked exactly what I was wanting. Upon entering, we were seated right away. There was only one other table, so we got there before the dinner rush. The service was good at first, however took awhile to get someone to come by to get a fork, and utensils for the crab. Everything was great though. Food was delicious! It was my girlfriends first time having seafood like that, & she was impressed. Loved the food, loved the robot server (that was pretty cool), and location. Close to our air bnb with plenty of parking. We will definitely be coming back ! read more

Glad there is a new option in town. As for taste wise, I have had better. The corn was a little old, crawfish tasted not so fresh (live ones), sausage was good, shrimp was okay. The eggs were an interesting addition to the bag. I have a high bar for Cajun style boil, but I have it a 4 star based on location and options available in the area. It would get a 2-3 stars in the San Gabriel Valley. read more

Where do I start this place is so amazing. Let's begin with the service as soon as we entered I felt welcomed and was attended quickly. The food was absolutely amazing I no longer need to drive hours away for great seafood. I had the shrimp with head on with their house flavor medium spicy they let me try the hot and that one was really good I love spicy food so next time I come definitely getting the hot The fries there were delicious I got the seasoned fries The loaf of bread was a good serving it was large enough for the three of us. My family and I were so excited to try this place, we saw an ad in the newspaper! The reviews looked positive to! But!!!! All of these positive reviews either are from fake accounts or people who don't know what good food is. The service was mediocre, they thought they were cool, because they have a robot. The ambience is like a little hole in the wall, but with bad food. The menu is confusing and not clear. All the food seemed like it came from Costco in the frozen department. The clam chowder was obviously not fresh and tasted bland. The garlic bread literally arrived frozen. The coconut shrimp also was not cooked all the way through. The french fries were way to seasoned The garlic noodles were literally just spaghetti with garlic, it was disgusting. The fish and chips had obviously been from Costco as well. Usually, when you go to a restaurant, you want to get fresh and delicious food that is made there. I very rarely leave a negative review anywhere, but seriously why would you open up a restaurant like this? The people next to us got one of the large fish combinations, and they said it was not good at all, so they left . read more

Pretty good seafood boil restaurant. Staff was super polite the entire time and checked on us continually to make sure we were enjoying our food and spice levels. I got the extra spicy level 1 and it was very good! Although it was spicy, the flavor was lacking a little bit. It only tasted hot, no real flavor. Also the potatoes were verrrrrry undercooked and hard, just for future reference to the cook I might boil them a little longer. Pretty okay pricing though compared to places I've been before ! read more

I do plan to return because I am definitely a crab boil loyalist. Mr. Claws is one of our favorites and I believe there was an honest mistake with our order. Yesterday afternoon, We ordered a pound and most likely received a half pound or less of shrimp. Not an issue because whenever we fly we come straight here. I plan to come back but hoping the measurements are more accurate it is our favorite place especially over places like Las Vegas (hot n juicy) and other locations. We look forward to seeing you all again soon. read more

Amazing place in a nondescript strip mall. Been there twice. Both time had the seafood boil with the house special sauce, spiced mild. A big bag of shrimp and mussels, with sausage, corn and potato's came out. They give you gloves and a paper table cloth with a paper towel roll on the table. Go ahead and attack your food. Delicious! Shrimp are plump and firmly fresh. The mussels are fresh and meaty. The corn is so sweet, maybe the sweetest I ever had. The sauce was perfect, tasty with just a bit of spice. We also got a side of the garlic pasta which was good, but not great. The seafood boil is only 45 bucks for 2, quite a bargain today. We had reservations but did not need them even on a Friday night. Another interesting thing there is the robot who brings your food to the table, just amazing, such an amazing hidden gem in Cathedral City! read more

Hidden Gem! Came to this place last night and I must say hands down! Ordered the $90 Foursome Feast and it was more than enough for all 4 of us. Was driving by and saw a crawfish spot so I was curious to try since we don't have many options in the desert. I grabbed a pound of crawfish with some corn and also a peach tea Togo. I opted for the house sauce in mild spicy, and it was the best tasting sauce I've ever had. I've tried many cajun seafood places but Mr. Claws hit the nail on the head with their sauce. The crawfish was cooked perfectly and the corn with the sauce on it is delicious. The peach tea tasted fine, but could maybe be more sweet. At first we were kind of iffy as there was barely anyone there but since we were here already it was a go. The waitress was quite friendly and very sweet. Throughout the while dining experience, they constantly checked up on us to see how the food was and if we needed anything else. Made sure we were taken cared of and enjoyed our experience. Then comes the menu, quite a lot of dishes that you would typically get at a Mexican restaurant and some that seem to be new. The birria ramen which lately have been seeing at loads of Mexican restaurant. Of course as it was Tuesday, we came for the tacos.
