My experience with MRT was horrible! I'm embarrassed to post because I might appear too gullible in public, but I felt I had to do this, to warn others about this company. I bought a 2 massage package. The first time I showed up at the appointed time, I found a locked office with no lights on. Another couple who were there for a couples massage 15min before me (who were also in the hallway who asked me if I too was there for a MRT massage?) said that they had been waiting and finally were calling Groupons to ask for their refund. I later got a call saying that someone had a "family emergency" (MRT never called me BEFORE the appt time so I wouldn't have to waste time driving there. I don't live close to this place). I thought OK, things happen I'll give it another chance, especially since MRT made me redeem the voucher (Livingsocial deal) before I could make an appointment (this vendor makes sure they take the money first before delivering the service, which is fine, IF they deliver the service!). My 2nd time I showed up, there were people there. The "spas" (which only was a dark 2 rooms in the basement of this office bldg, sparsely furnished and you couldn't read anything while waiting b/c it was so dark), there was the one therapist, who was pretty good. Everything went ok, so I thought, just one glitch. When I showed up for my 2nd massage, again I found a locked office, dark inside. I went "oh no, not again!" I texted MRT to let them know I was there and no therapist. The owner called me back and told me that the scheduler, the only one with access to clients' records & phone# was rushed to the hospital, that's why no one called me. OKKKKay, I'll bite, again (since I really just would like to get my 2nd massage and be done w/ this company... and just ....maybe this is a real story, and not a bogus sob story so they don't have to compensate me anything for the trouble). So, he promised that whatever time i wanted, i would get b/c of all the trouble I've been through (sounds like good customer service right? only lips service from this point on.) so we settled on 10AM the next morning. I got a call from an "assistant to the scheduler/manager"saying that the owner didn't know what he was saying, that 10AM was impossible. So I asked what is possible? I didn't want to drive there to see an empty office, again. she said "someone will give me a call first thing in the morning, I am their top priority!" The next morning, no calls. in fact no calls all day. I was busy w/ family so I let it go... partially just to see what would happen next. One day later, I got a call. I got very nice lip service again, so we settled a late time the next day. I'm not senile, so I'm pretty sure I can recall the time and date very well. I skip other things to make this appointment b/c i wanted to believe in people and the integrity of their words. Guess what happened? You got it. Again, I showed up at the appointed time, to a dark empty office, for the third time! You can have a good laugh at me now, for persistently believe in MRT's sob stories. I sure deserve it, for being naive (or stupid) enough to keep doing this. I'm angry at myself for trusting MRT's integrity too many times. I'm done with these people! If this is the way they do business, they won't last. This owner who instead of being apologetic knowing that I got the run around 3 times, he insisted that it was ME who didn't get the non-existent texts that he sent earlier on that day, so showing up to an empty office was my own fault. That just got me! I guess i have to forfeit the 2nd massage. Even if I can't get Livingsocial to refund it to me, it's worth it to post this to the public, to let you all know about how horrid MRT treats its customers!! They kept telling me that they got 3,500 responses from the advertised deal from Groupons. Apparent, they can't keep up with service. This is one way to "get rid" of customers. treat them like they treat me, and they will forfeit their deals and can't take the money back, and they don't have to provide the service, as the customers will leave on their own. maybe half of the 3,500 people who wanted to MRT out got the shoddy treatments that I did. They don't seem to care. I'll chalk this up as a learning experience. Next time, not to trust a vendor and their words. that's right: strike me once, it's on you, strike me twice (or 3 times), it's on me. yup! at least you got a free lesson. Stay away from MRT!! You'll just waste your time and money too!! I can't give them even one star because i'm still steamed. I just save you money and time! I had to give it one star b/c it wouldn't post with no star. read more
