This is one more of those hipster places that are popping up to suck the millennials money. We saw the reviews and said let's try it(after reading Yelp). From the moment we entered we knew this was not going to be a memorable lunch! We were not greeted by the young lady working the counter who was it seemed eating her lunch at 3:30 pm Tuesday December 26. She just said " let me know when you are ready". After looking at the menu we (my son and I) ordered and paid for a brisket melt,southern friend chicken and waffles and buffalo chicken melt, an order of fries, one Materva and a plastelito shake. All at the same time, through their Apple IPad ordering system. Bad sign when a business request a tip without a service bring rendered!!!! We opted to wait until served to offer up a tip. After a few minutes the attendant brought out the Materva and a cup of water, 5 to 7 minutes later she brought out the brisket and we did not see her for another 10 minutes when she brought out the pastelito shake. Again another five minutes and she brings out the chicken and waffles. She mentions something about piecemeal service and disappears. 25 minutes after she brought out our drinks my meal the buffalo chicken is brought out by what appears to be the cook, he said sorry for the wait. I mentioned that was not a acceptable to bring out food piecemeal that my son had finished his meal already. He stated that he took long because he had to make the shake!!!! Ridiculous!!! He could have cared less and just went back in the kitchen. Basically what the cook brought out was 2 chicken fingers smothered in buffalo sauce nothing special here. The food was not bad but was not worth the money we paid and the service the worst I have experienced in a long time. I hope the owner reads this review as his employees are going to ruin his business. This place is even Burger Beast approved. First visit and my last. I cannot see how they have racked up 4.5 stars on Yelp. I am beginning to question many of reviews on Yelp as this place deserves no more than 2 to 3 stars. You simply cannot go wrong here. Originally a food truck parked outside Gramps, Ms. Cheezious became so popular that a brick-and-mortar restaurant was opened. If there's a golden-standard for grilled-cheese sandwiches, this is it! Not only a good grilled cheese sandwich, but also just great food. I was fortunate enough to go to the Food and Wine Festival in 2015, and to taste a countless amount of bites; I can honestly vouch that Ms. Cheezious' presentation was the best thing I ate there. The pulled pork sandwich, in particular, is a wonder. To analyze a bite: the bread is airy, lightly toasted and dusted with caramelized sugar, pleasant to the tooth; next comes the sweet pork, tender and luscious, melting in your mouth; finally, a satisfactory stretch of white cheese that balances everything off. Every time I've visited their truck, there has always been a long line to order and an even longer wait for the food to be ready, but it's worth every minute. Usually, I'm with friends and one friend will stay to wait for the food while the rest of us will grab drinks and sweets from the other carts around BTTR or elsewhere. Their sandwiches are little cheesy slices sent from Heaven. I've had a classic grilled cheese with tomato and bacon, and also the AMAZING Crabby Melt, and they were both delectable. My favorite part is probably the warm and buttery texas toast surrounding the cheesy goodness inside. I've also had a side order of their fresh made sweet potato fries and they were everything I'd hoped for and more. Walking around BTTR, everyone was asking where I'd got them and I would direct them straight over the Ms. Cheezious so they could experience the yumminess for themselves. Nice place! I've been here maybe four times and have had about half of the menu. From what I remember: - The croqueta monsieur is fantastic. The croquetas are flattened, and not super heavy. I could probably eat 4 or 5 of these in a sitting. A must get/favorite. - BBQ pulled pork is pretty good--nice and greasy. Heavy, tasteful in the way most BBQ is tasteful. - Short rib grilled cheese is excellent. It is nice and tender. You should probably really get this one if you want something savory and satisfying. A strong contender for tastiest sandwich. Another must-get. - Mac and Cheese was okay, but the cheese was very light. It works quite well if you try to pass it off as a gourmet sandwich, but a stronger kick from the cheese would make this a perfect grilled cheese. If you've never had a Mac and Cheese grilled cheese, you'll probably like it a ton and be pleasantly surprised. - Southern fried chicken and waffle melt is just fine for what it is. If you're into sandwiches like this, then you'll probably like it. There's usually a balance issue with how you cook the chicken to complement the sweetness of the waffles and syrup, but Ms. Cheezious does a good job. - Pesto melt is also quite good--for what it is. A standard pesto sandwich. If you like pesto, then you'll be content with this sandwich. - Cheese fries...seldom do I advise avoiding a menu item, but this is a super low-quality menu item compared to everything else you're getting. It's just landfill for your stomach, and the carnival-style cheese they drown it in is repugnant. Order an additional sandwich over this. - Sweet meltdown... kind of weird, dessert-wise. Orange marmalade with ricotta cheese...for dessert...is very strange. Are you a risk-taker? Worth trying at least once, if you're curious. - S'mores melt is incredible--even after eating a ton of sandwiches and feeling really full. Get! Non-food stuff: - Cute place, clean interior, nice, big outdoor area - Parking is a bit limited, avoid peak times - A bit pricy for what it is. I called the restaurant to place a pick-up order. I was informed I could only order online which was fine. I attempted to ask a question about the food but was hung up on before I could. I called back to ask my question. Another employee answered the phone and answered it and I tried to ask a second food related question and again was hung up on. I really wanted Mac and cheese so I decided to order online anyway. I place my order at 8pm. The website gave my pick up time at 8:05pm [I figured this was inaccurate and unrealistic]. I live less than a quarter mile away but I figured I should give at least 15 minutes for pick up. I arrived and was told it would be another 5 minutes. No problem, I left, gassed up the car, and returned 10 minutes later. I had to wait another 5 minutes and received my order. When I got home, I found that instead of 2 blue cheese dressings for my two orders, they had given me Caesar dressing, and they had forgotten the sauce for my jalapeño poppers. In addition, my food was cold which was surprising since I had to wait and wait again, and my drive home was 2 minutes. I called and explained what had happened. I was told I could return. I declined. I was told "he" [not sure who that is] would be told. No apology was given for anything. No one called me back. I also got a side of mac and cheese with a can of Angry Orchard cider. Pricing was alright I guess. For those three things it came out to $22 plus a $2 tip I gave. After 5 min I got my food which was awesome and then I tasted a little bit of heaven.... BEST prime rib I've ever had. The sourdough bread was soooo crunchy and perfectly toasty and warm. The Gouda cheese was absolutely cheesy and gooey and the prime rib was just about right! Melted goodness is your mouth I swear. Now, the mac and cheese was so so...why? I came here for lunch on Monday, I ordered the Mackin Cheese and the Short Rib Sandwich. They were both good. The wait was a little long considering we were one of two tables but the food was good so I guess it was worth the wait. The atmosphere of the place is really cute and casual.
