Contacted Mike regarding the replacement of our existing Level 2 EV Charger, which had died after 5 years. Mike was highly responsive, asking a few clarifying questions and then providing a quote for the required services. We had to wait for the new charging unit to arrive and booked for the day after scheduled delivery. Mike communicated timeframe for arrival, was highly professional, and performed the replacement quickly. Most importantly, the actual cost of the service was exactly as quoted and significantly less than the other vendors that provided estimates. Given this was a straight replacement of the charging unit with no additional electrical work required, I was surprised some of the quotes were close to $1,000 while Mike did a great job for 1/4 of that. I hired MS Electrical Engineering for several home projects. Some work was completed as expected; however, there were issues related to installation details and execution of part of the work: An outdoor camera installation did not match the original quote for a hardwired system mounted on stucco using an adapter I provided. Instead, MS Electrical Engineering completed a shortcut installation mounting the camera to the fascia board and plugging the camera into an outdoor outlet. This was corrected on a requested return visit. A transformer installed next to an indoor switch was misaligned and required drywall repair for which he agreed to reimburse me for the cost of the repair. A motion-activated garage floodlight was installed without a required wall switch (clearly stated in the instruction manual) for full operation of the motion-detection options. Work areas were not fully cleaned after completion with dust and wire insulation left behind. Overall, while some work was completed satisfactorily, there were enough problems that I would not hire MS Electrical Engineering again. read more
