Dan was fantastic. He was professional, polite and clean. He offered to take off his shoes before entering my house. As someone who doesn't wear shoes in my house and is OCD about this, I appreciated that respectful courtesy. I needed to change out a faulty circuit breaker that kept tripping on hot days. I had sent him a video of it. He installed a new one in less than 5 minutes. He also installed a digital timer in my entryway that I'd purchased from Amazon to control the outdoor lights. I needed to have some electrical work done (replacement of light fixtures and removal of an old fluorescent light box and installation of recessed lights). I'm really picky so it took me some time to select an electrician. I chose Redline because of all the amazing Yelp reviews and Daniel's responsiveness for a quote and the fair price. I made the right choice. Daniel came on a day it was raining. He brought "house" shoes that he wore in my house so as not to track in mud and water onto my floors. I saw on my Ring camera that when he went out to his truck, he diligently took off the house shoes and put on his work boots and put his house shoes back on when he came back in. He did an amazing job and cleaned up afterwards. I know this review is long, but I rely on Yelp reviews to guide me so I hope this helps someone else. Messaged about getting a whole house fan installed, got one quote, then was told that they misquoted me because he thought it was an attic fan. Note that I was clear about it being a whole house fan not attic fan and i even sent a link. Anyways, tech showed up saying he had never installed one. I offered all the information i knew from YouTube videos from the manufacturer, then he proceeds to move things in the attic. 1hour later he says "[he] is way over his head] and that he has never done this and that it wouldn't work, that it would be best to get an HVAC tech to install it. I appreciated that honesty. The problem was that he still charged me $280 to add an outlet in my attic. Like wtf? Labor alone he charged $250! He should have been honest from the get go.... I should have done this review years ago. REDLINE ELECTRIC has TOTALLY improved the place we live in. Knowledgeable, thorough, up to date on technology and "smart" switches, he has done everything installing new equipment for us, to troubleshooting when the neighborhood lost juice. He could easily have charged us emergency rates, but he values long-term customers who respect him (we do), who know we are lucky to get the quality of his work when we need it. I found Dan on Yelp to do a project in my garage. He had good ratings and reviews so I asked for a quote on the Yelp app. I didn't know that, when I submitted my request, I would get pummeled with a dozen messages from other electricians for the same job. Better to just call the person you are looking for. I did have a conversation with Dan and it turned into a FaceTime call. I showed him the outlets that needed to be added, removed and relocated. I felt better with this approach since he could get a much better picture of what needed to be done and his ballpark price was very close to the final bill. He scheduled within 10 days (hey, this is not unusual if you've hired contractors post Covid) and sent his guy, Michael. Michael is just a kid but was an excellent electrician. The garage job was completed quickly and cleanly. I called the day before asking that the electrician be allotted some extra time to finish a botched kitchen tiling job that we were dealing with. That other electrician was moving and adding some outlets and absolutely destroyed my kitchen walls and placed outlets without any care about wall depth. Michael was able to install GFCI outlets, and make sure they were in proper alignment. Very satisfied! read more

Reached out to a few electricians via Yelp and Dan from Redline Electric was quick to reply and offer to visit for a free estimate. I had one other electrician visit to provide a quote, and Redline Electric had a more competitive quote, plus I was impressed by their clean brand image (well kept van and uniform). I did have to wait a bit longer for them to start work because they are clearly in demand. Dan showed up on time and completed our project in half a day. He was pleasant to have around and was professional and appeared to perform quality work. We hired him to run a new power line from our breaker box to our garage to install new outlets to power our washer/dryer. There was an option to have the wires installed inside the wall but we opted for the cheaper option with the wires running through conduit outside the patio wall, which we're fine with. We also asked him to install a patio switch and add an outdoor outlet above our patio light. Dan was upfront about one minor cosmetic mistake that we may or may not have ever noticed, and pointed it out to us, and gave us a discount on the original quote to compensate, which seemed more than reasonable. The first contractor punted on electrical work I needed to have done. But he gave me the number for Redline Electric. Mr Dan Hannah was very responsive and sent a young but knowledgeable person over to review my problem. Andres brought his big van and tools. He was ready to be of service. After some exchange of information and troubleshooting, he identified an overload in the wiring of a power plug. The power plug is outside and somewhat exposed to the weather elements. A GFIC plug replaces the old one and properly rewired for the rated amperage protection. My electrical issue is now in good order thanks to Redline Electric. I will not hesitate to use them again for a future chore that I have in mind. read more

Yesterday, our lights began flickering, appliances went to error messages and furnace/heater stopped working. This morning I called 4 local electricians based on their 5 Star Google and Yelp ratings. Dan, the owner replied within 15 minutes of my message. Since he is located in HB, he was able to go to my home and was there within the hour. My wife said Dan was so pleasant, nice, knowledgeable and professional. He diagnosed our electrical issue and found that everything internal within our home was working properly and stated the issue could be with SCE. He called Edison for us, informed them of the issue and set up a service call for us in 3-5 days. THIS IS GREAT SERVICE! Do you know how long it would have taken us to call Edison and stay on hold to request a service call. Been there, done that. Dan also informed us that we can get reimbursed by SCE for his invoice and the HVAC invoice, if the issue turns out to be related to Edison (which it probably will be) which we plan on filing a claim later after Edison fixes the issue. Regarding the furnace/heater, the transformer in our furnace was damaged due to the power surge issue. He called his HVAC contact and made an appointment for later today to get this repaired. Coincidently his HVAC contact is our HVAC company that we use, Shawn Lambert (see my review on Shawn Lambert HVAC). Great companies associate themselves with great companies. Thank you Dan for your prompt and timely service today. Requested a quote for some work to add some additional outlets/ breakers to patio and some additional lighting / outlets needs inside the house. Within days, Michael and David arrived on the job.......on the day I was told they would, and early morning......as I was told they would. What a great concept!
