Another great experience with Dan at DC Electric. He has become my go to electrician whenever I have a job or need to recommend an electrician to anyone in the area. He installed a 50 amp circuit for an induction stove for me. Project involved running about 120 ft of wire and conduit around the outside of my home and setting up the box inside the kitchen. Price was extremely fair. When my cooktop was installed it ended up maxing out the circuit occasionally (I didn't read the specifications closely enough). Dan came back double checked the installers hooked the appliance correctly (making it look better at the junction box) and upgraded the breaker to a 60 amp at no extra charge. fortunately he had the foresight to run a thicker gauge wire in the conduit to make this not an issue. His technicians found a much better location to install the outlet to eliminate exposed conduit and make the final product look much better than we envisioned. I had 3 ceiling fans installed in bedrooms this summer. The ceilings were flat and cathedral. Dan came over and gave me a fair quote. He told me what they would provide in the install and that I needed to buy the fans and extension rods. He also gave me a recommendation on the type of fans to get. Last year Dan and Cody came out a year ago and installed a new GFI for the water fountain. It stopped working so just Cody (might be the new Cody) and Gavin (new guy) came out. They opened a GFI outlet in the 2 car garage, pull it out and left it that way. They said the issue was at the GFI in our single storage garage. I knew there wasn't a GFI in there but convinced me it was there. The next week we moved everything out of it including the cabinets. NO GFI. I called out another electrician and he had the GFI issue fixed in 15 minutes. I think Dan doesn't want to go in the field so he tries to train new people and it's just not working. We wasted a lot of time plus we paid a guy to help us moving everything out and then back in. read more

I needed to update my 20 year old outdoor lighting that was no longer working. I had previously contacted two other companies for estimates. One company recommended very high end copper fixtures with no regard for my budget and the other person never showed up. I was referred to Dan by my sister and he came out and gave me a reasonable estimate and was knowledgeable and confident in his recommendations. He even agreed to come out on a Saturday to do the work for at my convenience. Dan texted me and confirmed his appointment a few days before and showed up on time the scheduled day. He checked with me on the placement of each light and even found a long forgotten existing buried wire that saved me money. Dan installed a total of 33 lights (22 spots and 11 floods) and buried all the electrical. This was not as easy task as my soil was hard and root bound and it was 95 degrees out! Dan has a great attitude and he did a beautiful job on my lighting. My house looks like a resort now at night! The wattage he recommended is perfect! He came out the same day on two separate occasions, offered very reasonable estimates, and had good ideas on how to deal with the issues we were having.
