So. . . I decided to treat my dad for lunch and he chose M's Garden, his favorite place for Chinese. I've been here only once before off of his recommendation so I was really surprised and flattered when Lisa said she remembered me. She is so very sweet. The customer service was great and the food came out extremely quickly. From the time we ordered until the plates started coming out, I believe it was only about 10 minutes. But that might've been because we arrived at 1pm, after the lunch hour. It's not a big restaurant. Pretty intimate. The time of day we were there, it was nice and right and close to empty, which is how my dad likes it LOL. The dishes that were really good to me that I recommend is the curry chicken, the Mongolian beef, and the shrimp with hot garlic sauce lunch combo. Each combo came with egg flour soup, which is really good. First time customer. I ordered a combination dinner takeout--orange chicken, pork fried rice , chicken chow mein and egg roll it was wonderful. The chow mein had nice pieces of seasoned chicken in it and the orange chicken was crisp but not too dry. We ordered Chowmein, fried rice, fried squid, orange chicken and egg rolls. Food was delicious but i wasn't a fan of the orange chicken. Egg rolls super good and crispy. My only hesitation on giving a 5 star was the drinks. Beer wasn't super cold(bottle) no draft available. Sodas were in a can and not cold. M's Garden was a quaint spot in the neighborhood. I think my visit was during a down time because the woman who was helping me seemed to be splitting her time between balancing the receipts. However, that is the time to dine before the lunch rush so you feel like you have the whole restaurant to yourself. But once lunchtime draws closer, it starts to pick up, especially with meal service pick-ups. This was a good sign because it meant that the food prep was not only fast but the quality was good without taking all day. Once I got my food, I found out that the previous was all true. The food was hot from the kitchen to the table. I had to balance the good flavor with not burning my tongue trying to devour my meal. One of the things I look for is if I NEED to add soy sauce to have the full flavor of my fried rice and chow mein. I have to say they passed the necessity test, but this is only my opinion, and our tastes are different, so try this restaurant for yourself and let me know what you think. read more

Had chicken, shrimp, and small pork pieces but no beef meat at all. 3/5 Lemon Chicken - crispy and decent flavor not too sweet. A little heavy on the tempura batter and would prefer lighter breading. Portion kinda small. 2/5 Shrimp Fried Rice - generous with the portion and actually gave more shrimp than expected. Rice was a little hard though and flavor was meh, tasted just like overly soy sauce and no depth. I like my fried rice moist. 5/5 Hot and sour soup - surprisingly good and I don't really like this kind of soup. Just enough sour. Glad I chose this over the egg drop soup. 3/5 Crab cheese wonton - got 2 pieces with sweet and sour dipping sauce. Very thick wrap, tough and not enough filling. Not very crispy unfortunately. I think it was okay but I would not order the Family Dinner Specials anymore. If there was a deal, I would try their other menu items but so far not super impressed. read more

I usually always order their general tso chicken for events but this time I was just craving a combo plate. The chow mein was okay but the chicken tastes really old for the sweet and sour chicken. Nothing disappoints me more than wasted money on food that doesn't taste good. This has nothing to do with the service because they're great they just need to make improvement with throwing away old food because that was such a waste. My previous weekend lunchtime orders of Mushu Pork have been okay, but this recent Saturday evening/dinnertime order of Mushu Pork and Sweet and Sour Pork was lackluster. The mushu veggies and sauce was very salty, yet the pork strips alone had no flavor. The sweet and sour sauce only had the initial sweetness but the meat itself tasted flat and a little tough, with a bitter aftertaste. Carrots, onions, and green bell peppers present, but scarce on the pineapple chunks. Maybe it was a different shift/cook, admittedly toward the end of the night? Good sauce that went well with rice. Fried rice: on the darker soysauce side, but again flavor was there. House special spicy chili chicken: crispy, spicy chicken came with a bed of broccoli. First, let me say that this is a mixed review. Some good, some bad. So you run a 50/50 chance of liking/ disliking the food here. Tried this place for the first time, mainly because I saw drunken noodles on the menu. Mind you, it was named something else (mei fun), but it was supposed to be drunken noodles. It arrives to me, I open the box and find glops of gooey pasta mixed in with the rest of the ingredients. They hadn't separated the noodles while cooking and they ended up gooping together so that it resembled tofu, in taste, texture and appearance. Since I'm not a tofu fan, it tasted seriously gross. I threw away more than half of my meal. On the other hand.... the chicken chow mein, deep fried potstickers and salt & pepper chicken wings were delicious! I was told the orange chicken, sweet & sour pork and pork fried rice were good too. So I guess it's just hit & miss with this restaurant, depending what you order. Mediocre Chinese food in my opinion. None of the dishes really stand out to me. The main dishes I liked here were the wonton soup and honey walnut prawns. I didn't like their vegetable egg foo young. I've had their chicken fried rice and Peking spare ribs, but it wasn't memorable for me. The area that the restaurant is located in is a bit rough, doesn't have much lighting at night, and can get loud in the parking lot. The restaurant inside is kind of small but it doesn't seem overcrowded when I've dined in. The prices are lower than their competitors, the employees are friendly, and the service is fast, which is why I'm rating M's Garden three stars. I've eaten inside the restaurant, ordered for takeout, and ordered through door dash, and never had any issues service-wise. read more

The one that really stuck out was the orange chicken. It's not orange chicken, it's sautéed meat with this weird orange sauce. After inspecting food I let the server know I didn't want the orange chicken and she said no because food is already made.
