This is the worst experience I ever had with a restaurant and I haven't even gotten into the restaurant. On the app, it says that it was open and they usually are supposed to be opened on Wednesdays. Had a nice lunch one weekend at Mt. Fuji. After we nixed a different establishment (whoops, should've checked that waiter service field on Yelp), we ended up here for sushi. We were pleased to find out we still made it in time for the lunch specials. The tempura appetizer wasn't too exciting but featured a mix of shrimp and veggies. However, the sashimi and salad were fresh and cold. Speaking of low temperatures, the restaurant was chilly which wasn't ideal on a winter day. Mt. Fuji wasn't too crowded, and our server was attentive and polite. The prices on the physical menu weren't updated so you needed to refer to the online menu. Parking was available on the street and in a lot behind the restaurant; you can enter Mt. Fuji from the back if you've parked there. read more

I ordered 3 separate meals from this "place," and they decided to combine the orders into 1. After calling the store and waiting for 20 minutes on hold, i finally spoke with the owner and made him aware of the error. He told me that I wanted it like that. I explained that the food was for 3 separate people, and we did not wish to dig through the food that at this point had been cross contaminated and was cold. I was then told to bring the food back to them, and they would separate it for me. I was shocked at this response and utterly offended that they would assume this was an acceptable resolution. After expressing my dissatisfaction with their suggestion, I was told next time I should "order better." I can not give my blessings to this greasy spoon due to the poor customer service that was rendered. The owner and underlings of this eatery should be able to deal with a patron who is dissatisfied with their refection. I should not be made to feel like a Meer vagrant from the streets attempting compel the upper echelon of society to freely disperse their precious coin into my soiled pocket. My abundance of cash is bone steakingly difficult to acquire, and I want to support the local businesses, but not at the expense of being treated like rubbish or a pile of disgarded bull dung scraped from the boot of a local vagrant. Advice to owners don't let teenagers run the front of your restaurant without supervision. Ordered pickup and my son's California roll was missing.I called and they said to come back and pick it up. On my way back there in my car they called asked to check again. I had a busy day so I could have made a mistake and called my wife to check. She said we were actually missing two rolls. I get to the restaurant and tell the girl what happened. She laughs as if I'm lying and I'm spending my Friday trying to grift two free rolls. To be fair she was young and probably nervous laughter but still was rude and had no idea to resolve the situation. By this point I'm hungry and my kids are hungry. I re-ordered two additional rolls and paid again and told them I will never order from there again. I ordered a chicken teriyaki bento box with miso soup. I made the mistake of checking yelp after I ordered. The hostess made me pay for my food before it arrived and open the bag to double check the soup and soy sauce was in there. By the time I got home there was sauce everywhere. The chicken was overcooked. The rolls were warm and there were no chop sticks in the bag. I hate when I order Japanese and they don't give me chopsticks. The portions and ratio of fish to rice were perfect! We were impressed that the combo actually included 8 pieces of fresh fish nigiri, instead of the typical cheap out of egg, or shrimp/eel. I'm pretty sure one piece was otoro! The quality of fish was impressive for a down-to-earth suburban sushi restaurant. Each piece was delicious, and the tuna roll had substantial chunks of fish. My only complaint was that the rice seemed a little under seasoned, it tasted mostly of pure rice. They definitely appeared to specialize in sushi, though they do have other Japanese dishes such as udon soup, teriyaki, and I think yaki soba. I would be curious to try them in future visits! This is our go-to sushi place. The sushi is fresh and they have some great special rolls. I recommend the Rainbow roll and the Spice Girl roll. When we order, delivery is quick, usually half the time they say it will be. When dining in, service is very good, we've never had to wait more than a minute or two to order and food comes quick. Absolutely delicious sushi. The quality of the fish is superb. The owner, Lenny, is kind and friendly. He's known for creating one-of-a-kind sushi dishes off the menu and surprising his regular customers with them when they come in to sit down and have a meal. Mt Fuji is *usually* pretty good (not great) and we have been ordering from there fairly regularly for months now, however they had a really off night on Fri April 15. -The avocado salad was mostly the inedible, almost white stalky stuff from the core of the lettuce head (come on, sacrifice a few cents and throw that part of the lettuce in the garbage); -The chicken in the yakitori appetizer was overcooked and under-seasoned, rubbery and tasteless; -And worst of all the tuna in the tri-sashimi was an off-putting grayish-red color rather than the deep red it should be -- and it didn't taste good at all. This fish was not fresh. Anyway this place isn't cheap -- it was a very disappointing takeout order, and they haven't responded to my follow-up email bringing this to their attention. I ordered the sushimi special (again it was the lunch special) which came to $21.00. Wow that's more than I pay for any sushi place at night.
