About mount olive storage in Duarte, CA. You might want to steer clear of these people there.When you terminate your occupancy from a space there,these lowlifes do not prorate you for partial refunds on days of non use when you leave. These gougers are quick to take your money every month to keep your space but will keep it and will not give you cash back when you terminate your occupancy with them.They do not reward you for longevity much less never missing a payment and for being on time. Mount Olive storage is garbage. If you do not have to do it, do not do business with these people. Do not do business with any storage company, they are all cut from the same cloth.Thieves! All of them.Do not make Mount Olive storage rich.Keep your money. Mount Olive storage charged me a $123.00 a month for a hole in the wall that is not even worth $50. .00! Mt. Olive Storage is conveniently located on the way out of town from Los Angeles or Orange County. I have trusted them since 2006 and know that my travel trailer is safe and sound when parked at their storage facility. The air, wash, and dump stations are a plus and there is a vendor on site to assist with RV maintenance and repairs. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place to store their RV. read more

Re u-haul - check your paperwork, the guy here put the return time down for 23 hours after we took the van, rather than 24. The guy (Frank) also wasted some of our time trying to sell us on some weird vacation/fishing camping place, giving us brochures for it etc. read more

After staying up all night to move all my things out of my commercial space, I came to Uhaul to drop off my key. As I was dropping off my key, I turn to my car and realize I just I locked myself out of my car with the key running in the ignition! I didn't have roadside assistance so I was totally screwed...or so I thought. Frank Ritz, the manager of this facility waited patiently with me for over 30 minutes trying to help my open my door with a makeshift slim Jim. He even called the nearby tow truck company and the police department. Finally we got the door unlocked! This guy saved me an easy 80 bucks that I didn't have. And he was a really funny and interesting guy who got me to see some humor out of what I saw as a very frustrating experience. Frank is the man! Use this place!!! DO NOT COME HERE ANYMORE. They are under new management and their policies are terrible. First they forced me to buy one of their disc locks because it's "safer", even though i never had an issue with my old locks. THEY NO LONGER PRORATE WHEN YOU VACATE. I needed until the 2nd of the month and they want to charge the full month. The old company used to prorate your departure. They told me even if I stayed until the 1st, they would charge an entire month. Been coming here for years but will NEVER come back. When i booked the storage i don't know they were under new management. WORST EVER. Save your money else where. **** Also my first negative review of then disappeared. Maybe they keep getting it deleted and starting new because the old entry for then had like 20 negative reviews. read more

Do not store your trailer or RV at this place! This is the most unsecured storage facility I've seen. The security/code entry system is an absolute joke! Anybody can get into this place and steal or vandalize your rig. So what if they have cameras? When you come and check on your stuff weeks later to see that it's been messed with or stolen, cameras don't mean shit. And the main gate is sometimes closed earlier than the allowed access hours! read more

Had to rent a U-Haul truck and storage unit to drive to San Diego and pick up some furniture we bought on Craig's List: 1 couch, 1 rocking chair, 2 end tables and 1 coffee table. Carole knew just what size storage I would need and got me all set up. I wish I could give this a 5 star review because it's a great facility but 2 MAJOR issues killed it for us. After only 2 months of being there someone broke in and robbed us. They really didn't care to do anything about it. That was devastating and was the main reason we left. 2nd thing was that when we started taking our stuff out so much was destroyed by rats. It's too bad my husband and I really liked the place but couldn't rely on it being a safe place for our things. read more

I felt the facilities are well designed and I really appreciated the dumping station access. Seems pretty secure and helpful The front office staff is ambivalent to customers needs. Ambivalent manager is well compensated for work but I've never seen them on site, and support staff is young and comes across as lazy. I sent an email to cancel my storage more than a week in advance I warned them that their autopay system needs to be canceled. I called and always got an answering service. I left a voicemail to cancel or inform of my move out I also warned that it is on auto payment. 5 days later they called and asked if I wanted to vacate. I went in in person and signed a form and confirmed I was vacated, and still after 3 points of contact me they are charging my credit card 150 for the uncovered parking space. I went in today to confirm they would not charge me today for another month for a space I vacated 2 weeks ago... the young man did not greet me as I walked in he did assure me that even though it is on auto payment that this form was all I need to cancel even today. He chatted to his friends how he fell asleep in the back in the heat. Still charged me. I call again I get another answering service rep. This time they called me back the same day and let me know that only Frank can fix it. We will se what "Frank" does... The office workers complain that the head manager does not work, only delegates. On another occasion I asked for a u-haul quote for a cross country move. I emphasized that it was only a quote. The following week they call me wondering why I had not picked up the u-haul. No one removed the quote from the system. Lazy desk staff, poor training and management? If I was judging only on the facility I would come back, but based on the office staff I question whether after my 2 month trip I'll rent there again. read more

Large storage spaces are expensive in LA but Mt Olive Self Storage was very reasonable. They had a perfect large space for my camper. The facility is secure with good amenities such as fresh water and a dump area. The leasing process was a breeze. read more

If I could rate a zero I would. If you are looking to be a gambler on your precious item that needs to be stored and want it stored as cheaply as possible look no further. If you want to be reasonably sure your boat or trailer will not be picked clean by thieves and have zero video evidence and a staff that's as helpful as if they have done the job themselves then do not store anything here. I had a zodiac rhib with a through Tran some secured outboard and the engine worth over 5k disappeared. The space they gave me was not covered by video camera. The staff was unwilling to review footage to try to find perpetrators. The police told me theft was common in this facility. Facility offered no insurance for items stored at facility. Bottom line is if it's not permanently part of your item, as in non removable as removing my engine took two people a solid hour, then expect it to be stolen and you to get stuck with the bill in my case in excess of 5k no insurance would pick up the tab at all. read more

If you are looking for storage or parking this is a great spot to do so I got a 8x20 there and at a reasonable price, and not like other places where they charge you more, also love the fact they have security, that makes me not worry that somebody will break in to my storage. They also have propane and when I ask for how much i was amaze it was at 2.69 but all I gotta say the staff there is great and have not had any issues or anything bad to say about Mt. Olive storage thank you guys! read more

I would like to give this place 5 stars, and I would if Mt Olive had more courteous managers. I was leased a covered spot for my 24 ft Class C RV. A young woman working in the office took me around and showed me several spots. She sold me on the covered one because there was a 30 amp plug that she said I could plug into. I thought this was fantastic for keeping a trickle charge on my 12 volt batteries. I even talked to the office staff prior to plugging into it to make sure there were no problems. After 9 months of leasing, a very unfriendly and rude female manager approached me and told me to unplug my rig. I explained to her I had asked permission and was told it was ok. She rudely told me it was not ok and to unplug it. I really did not care for the bait and switch tactics. They tell you one thing to get you to lease a spot and than order you to stop. Needless to say, I transferred my rig to an uncovered spot which is about $60/month cheaper. They just lost about $800/year in revenues because of a very unprofessional manager in that office. Not good customer service Mt Olive and not a good business decision. I would say the staff have great customer service skills snd are friendly. Their management could take a few lessons from them. I do like the fact that they have a wash rack, propane service, and dumping station. These are all very convenient for RV storage. read more

We have stored our travel trailer at Mt. Olive for nearly a year and have found them to be more than helpful to us as newbies to the RV world. They have assisted us with parking, shown us how to dump, etc. Yesterday was no exception when we arrrived to hook-up for a trip and found that the person who installed a back-up camera for us mistakenly left the power on and drained our battery. We were unable to raise the hitch without power and asked in the office if they had a jack we could borrow. They sent out 3 men to lift the hitch into place and then brought around a truck to charge the battery. This is what I call excellent service and it is why we store our trailer at Mt. I had a nice experience recently when dealing with Mt. Olive Storage. We had been former clients for at least 10 years but decided to make a change to another location about three years ago after the management and prices were not to our liking. However, I believe they are under new management now. Christiana (sp?) in the office was extremely helpful and efficient and we decided to give them a try once again. We were able to get a nice pull through storage site for our Fifth Wheel. They also have a new app to open the gates which makes it very easy! read more
