They have regular pizza/sub options but they also have amazing Indian cuisine! The parking is a little wonky- there isn't a parking lot but there is some street parking. They have tables set up inside but I've only ever carried out- the restaurant is pretty barebones inside but the food is incredible. Placed an order for pick up, 2 sub special. Ask for the cost of the order, total I was told would come to $24.86. Go to pick up my order, the guy tried to charge me $32.75. after arguing with the person I paid with 2 $20.00 bills. the guy gives me my change of $2.52. so I had to fight to get the correct change. I've been eating from this carry out since 2011. No matter where I move to, I always come back to get the taste of authentic Indian cuisine! At first I thought that maybe I was bias because of my preference of cuisine in West Baltimore (anywhere else is questionable). But time and time again, the quality of the food is unmatched. The flavors are divine, even when it comes to picky eaters like children, my kids all love the food! The staff are always accommodating and always make the food with love(you can tell). Normally the food is spectacular. Unfortunately, it seems they're using substandard beef for their cheeseburgers. We ordered two medium burgers and anywhere else, that would not have been a problem. Unfortunately, these cheeseburgers tasted distinctly bitter, almost chemical, which I've never experienced from ordering a burger cooked Medium before. I'm not sure I'll be ordering from here again unless the Health Department has a look. Ya heard it here first: best chicken tikka masala in the area, bar none. Generous portions, always piping hot and spiced as it should be. I'm not a big fan of the pizza, but pizza preferences are very specific-my friend loves the chicken tikka pizza. This is my family's go-to for a last minute meal, especially on weekends when there are sports or no one feels like doing anything. I wish I could give them 4 1/2 stars because orders are almost always great. There are times when things are wrong, or missing, etc. but that's not the fault of Mt. Washington. Let me start off by saying if you are expecting gourmet pizza, look elsewhere. When you order pizza from here, expect carry out pizza thats better than all the chain pizza joints (papa j, dominos, etc) and way less expensive. They have coupons available and you can't beat the deals. I did order the beryani once and thought it was oily and lacked flavor. So this review is for the pizza only. I'd advise against dining in the restaurant. Its a pretty uninviting space that hasn't been updated in a while. You can catch local TV on the tube television though. read more

Not only the best Indian food I've ever had but the best food I've ever had. I always get the chicken tikka masala, spicy. If I'm ever put on death row I want it to be my last meal. They've never gotten my order wrong and they're always so nice. I don't know what I would do without them. The portions are also huge so leftovers are a given. I get to eat it several meals in a row, which I shamelessly have done. Last evening, my brother and I used the Yelp App to order for pick-up (and pay for) Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Saag and a Lamb dish. I drove about 10 miles, one-way, so I was really hoping the food justified the mileage. Unfortunately, it did not. The Chicken Tikka Masala sauce was flavorful, however it would have been better with less cream. The problem was the chicken itself. The meat was rubbery and stringy with the texture of a broiled scallop. The Chicken Saag wasn't edible and went directly into the trash. I love this dish when it's made right (The Passage to India in Harrisburg makes this dish the best). I'm not sure what was worst, the heavy paste-like sauce or the dark meat chicken that looked as if it had been pulled off a rotisserie chicken. There was no chunky kabob-like chicken pieces to be seen. I don't do lamb, except for gyro meat. So, I'm relying on my brother's favorable response. He said it was the best of the 3 entrees. The pizza here is wonderful. Always get extra cheese on it, the cheese is great! Their sausage is fantastic too. However what drives me crazy is their online menu system has been broken for 2 years. If I get a deluxe, I can't select certain toppings I want, otherwise the pizza ends up costing 40 bucks. I showed the manager/owner this and they said they would do something but they never did. The inside of the place is pretty disgusting, but luckily we only do delivery or take out. So great pizza, crappy online ordering system they won't fix and for the love of God, do NOT dine in. Alright, hate to pull the " I work in public health card" here on yelp, because I shut it off instantly when I leave work, and really not much bothers me, but.. Ok, so day roaches? No Bueno. But I only get stuff out the fryer or pizza so the 1 star isn't for that. But if they "bug" you that's the deal here. Day roaches? They are mainly nocturnal. But yesterday, my lord- I watched the chef walk towards the register (where I am), sneeze into his hand, continue to the 1 Dr fridge, open it, and bare hand grab (same hand) a chicken breast, then put it in the simmering pan with the sauce to make a dish. Listen, if that wasn't cooked off (and let's be honest, how would he know, he's not taking cook temps, he's eyeing it) and someone left their food out for a few or it doesn't cool fast enough in a household fridge, that could really get someone ill: assblastis, or worse if they were old/young/immune compromised. Mt.Washington Pizza, I'm done. That is legit ghetto, couldn't even give the customer a half-ass courtesy hand wash, like at a subway or something? read more

When you tell people that this place has the best Indian food in Baltimore they either look at you like you're insane (because they've never sampled the excellent Indian cuisine here), or they shake their heads vigorously in agreement. The chicken tikka masala here is the best I've ever had and the saag paneer is delicious as well. You really can't go wrong with any of the Indian choices. The pizza and subs are ok, but Pepe's is down the road and does a better job with that sort of thing. I called to place an order and was told an hour after I placed the order and had been waiting on the food to be delivered that my area is too far. Its 5 miles from your location! So 5 miles is too far? I asked well then if that was the case, why wasn't the call made you know an hour ago and I couldn't even be given a reason. Sorry poor customer service trumps any food order. Decent Indian food at a place with "Pizza & Subs" in the title? And yet somehow, it's true! I found their Chicken Tikka Masala to be deliciously creamy and very flavorful. Their rice is bomb too! Just dump that sauce right on there and you're set for a delicious bite. Their Chicken Curry was less impressive, using dark meat instead of the large white meat pieces in the Masala. The sauce was meh.. void of those bold flavors I expect from Indian spices. The Shrimp Saag is okay, creamy creamy spinach with shrimp scattered throughout. I had to add a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon to get that acidic pop I wanted, but all in all it was pretty good. How I'd love to give this sub shop big kudos for whipping out tasty Indian food.. but their prices just ain't right. Myself and two others ate for 40 bucks... not a sum of money I expect to pay while sitting in a dirty corner shop with no sign on the door, no heat in the building, and no clean surface in sight. read more

This is an old-fashioned pizza place that also specializes in Indian food. Baltimore is kind of a classic pizza desert - you can find "New York" style pizza and you can find gourmet. We're from Ohio and pizza there is all things to all people. This is the best that we have found in Baltimore. And the added bonus is that my spouse can't eat pizza. So that's where the chicken curry guarantees that everyone gets what they want. My biggest negative is that parking at night is impossible to find, even if you are just running in to pick up an order. But that is a location issue, not a food issue. read more

One of the better places to go in North Baltimore for food. They have one of the most solid-priced menus and their Indian food, like the rest of the people who've commented have already said, is well worth it. Their bread (naan and chapati) are always inconsistent. Sometimes it is delicious, other times it's terrible. My suggestion is to order on a Friday or Saturday because they will probably have the freshest ingredients then. Solid Indian food. The chicken tikka masala was a delight. The sauce was creamy, rich, deliciously spiced, and swimming with generous chunks of moist white meat chicken. The lamb vindaloo was dark, spicy and thick, perfect for a cold winter day. Each entree came with a heaping helping of rice; quite enough to feed two people or one very hungry one! The meat samosas were packed with meat and had a crisp-chewy crust and two yummy sauces to dip them in. I preferred the tamarind sauce as a sweet-sour complement. If you want a quick meal, two orders of samosas would fill you up quite nicely. We also ordered the raita, a cooling yogurt sauce. It was good, but I would have preferred more bright bits of cucumber. All in all, a satisfying experience. I highly recommend it. And they also deliver! read more

I've been ordering from this restaurant for 5 years, mostly at my old apt, and the last few months at our new one. Tonight, like normal, I ordered some pizza for my husband and Chicken korma for myself. When the food arrived I realized they accidentally sent chicken tiki masala instead. What I thought would have been, a no big deal and easy resolution turned into a fiasco where the manager implied I was lying, insisted that he sent masala because that's what I ordered and refused to deliver the correct order or refund me. The Indian food is 5-star! Don't think of this as a pizza place. It's an Indian place. I have met this unassuming chef, and he does what he has to do here in America, which means run a pizza joint. But the fact is that his Indian dishes are spectacular. His chicken tikka masala (admittedly a British, not Indian, invention) is the most flavorful, delicious rendition I've ever had. The chicken tikka (tandoori grilled chicken with rice) is super tasty and healthy -- ask for 2 extra red sauce for it as it's something we found adds a great amount of flavor. Vegetarians and kosher keepers: be aware that fried "vegetarian" food is fried in the same oil as their meats. I stopped buying their samosas years ago because they always taste like fried chicken. For the first time, I ordered papadum there, and it also tasted like fried chicken! I had to brush the chicken fat off my tongue when I was done! The dessert gulab jamun tasted like both fried chicken and fried fish! When I called about it they said that that's just how they make those dishes, and I got the idea I'd have to make a special request if I didn't want "vegetarian" food fried with meat! I tend to like the spot however it seems to be going downhill. I just ordered chicken tikka which on their menu said was marinated chicken in a spicy curry sauce and what I got was a aluminum pan with chunks of dry meat and it and nothing else. Not very appetizing at all and extremely dry with no sign of sauce anywhere. When I called he said that chicken tikka does not have sauce it's just pieces of dry meat. I tried to tell him that his menu said that it had a spicy sauce and he argued with me. When I told him where he could find online that it said it had a spicy curry sauce he still did not offer any solutions for me getting something I didn't order. His attitude was basically like... welp, sucks to be you... So I guess I won't be ordering from them again. I would upload a picture of the menu where it says that it has a spicy curry sauce but there doesn't seem to be a way to upload pictures here. Oh well looks like I'm getting in the kitchen to make a curry sauce anyway. I could have saved myself $35 read more
