    Falafel Over Rice
    Becca H.

I was craving falafel again. I had heard good things about this place. As soon as I got near the door, the smell of the food hit me. And it smelled AMAZING. The inside is very clean. I got the falafel over rice and it was delicious. The falafel was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. My counterpart got the chicken over rice and I was so jealous when I tried it lol. The chicken was just amazing. I don't think I've ever had better chicken in my life! The spices and seasoning were just perfect. The service was quick and they offer delivery and pickup. I'll definitely be back!

    Chicken Chapli over Rice

This review is mainly geared toward the food, because my partner and I did a pick-up order around 9:30 pm. This food was the best halal I've had in the local area. We got one classic chicken over rice with white, hot, and green sauce - add pepper and onions. Then we also tried the chicken chapli over rice with green and white sauce, add peppers and onions. I've never had chicken chapli before and it was so good. Everything was packed with flavor, even the rice. Typically we've found halal places near us to be lacking on the rice flavor but this was delicious through and through. The classic chicken over rice was super delicious as well, their hot sauce definitely packs a punch. Our only qualm of the dishes was that the chicken over rice could have used more white sauce, but it was fine. Our order was available at the time we requested, so they are definitely efficient. Ambience is a classic halal joint, a few tables and the order counter. Nothing special, but that's not what you are coming for. We will definitely be back to try more dishes!

My sister has been raving about this place for months, and I finally got a chance to go. 2 am is when we arrived (they stay open till 4am) and got food within 10-15 minutes. The seasoned fries are perfect after a night out and you get so much. The combo platter with chicken and lamb is highly recommended, tho I prefer the lamb. Grab extra white and red sauce on the way out they are the cherry on top. Clean building including the bathrooms and outside. Will be back for a new order very soon

Love this new addition to the white marsh area! Is a great late night spot as it serves until 4 am so if you're looking for something good to eat, definitely come to Naz's Halal. Service is quick and food is usually out in less than 10 minutes. Get the sauce on the side so you can adjust how much sauce you want in your food! Be wary red sauce can be spicy if your spice tolerance isn't too high

The service was really good and the food was good also. The dining area is decent. It's a nice place for some decent food.

Fresh, delicious, and a great value. The food and staff in this place are amazing! For lunch - Huge portion add fries and falafel with a canned soda for $12 total. Rewards program is easy to use as well.

Chicken over rice, the platter is so big I can only half in one sitting

The service was attentive throughout our meal, and every dish arrived beautifully plated with great attention to detail. We started with the Beyti Sujuk Rolls and the Beetroot Hadiqa. The rolls were one of my favorite appetizers. They were crispy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the yogurt and tomato sauce. The Beetroot Hadiqa was equally impressive, with beets, apples, walnuts...it was a refreshing combination of sweet, savory, and creamy flavors. For our entrees, we ordered the Riyash of Lamb and the Freekeh Short Rib. The lamb chops were cooked beautifully and served over couscous with broccolini, while the pistachio crust added a nice texture. The Freekeh Short Rib was incredibly tender and the rich beef jus paired perfectly with the mushrooms. It was hearty, comforting, and one of the best short rib dishes I've had. The cocktails were just as memorable. I ordered the Asfar So Good, while my partner had the Ashita Affair. Both were beautifully presented with a silky foam on top and were as delicious as they looked. The Asfar So Good was light, refreshing, and well-balanced with subtle floral and citrus notes, while the Ashita Affair had a smooth, creamy texture with pistachio and rose flavors that made it feel almost like a dessert cocktail without being overly sweet. This is definitely on the pricier side, but the quality of the ingredients, presentation, atmosphere, and service justify the cost. Every plate felt thoughtfully prepared, and the overall experience was memorable from start to finish. If you're looking for elevated Middle Eastern cuisine, creative cocktails, and one of the most beautiful dining rooms in Baltimore, Ammoora is absolutely worth the splurge.

Parking was a little challenging but nothing to deter me from stopping. I went on a Saturday around 1 pm and it was PACKED!!!! Seating is limited so be prepared to grab takeout at peak hours! Upon walking in, I noticed how vibey it was! All of the staff greeted me and everyone was just really happy to be there. The restaurant was so cute and eclectic, but again, very packed! We were hungry lol. I told the staff member that it was my first time there and he gave me a few recommendations. After reviewing everything, I settled on the tempuras Broccoli and the Neighborhood Bird Bun. Service was very quick and they had us in and out of there. They even had stickers for us to grab! Food: Tempura Broccoli-first few bites were amazing. Then I got to the bottom of the box and the house made vinegar threw off the texture for me as they became soggy so I didn't get to finish them. Overall, they were solid but if you do not like vinegar and have texture issues, they're not for you. I'll give them a solid 3 out of 5. Bun: the bun definitely met my expectations. The chicken was huggggeeee and likely was a chicken thigh, which was a good touch. Ur was juicy and fried to perfection. The herbs provided a well balance and the bao bun was everything. I smashed!!! I would definitely go back and try a different bun. Overall 4.5 out of 5 stars!

This is the best dibi lamb I've had!…read more My first introduction to dibi lamb was at a Malian restaurant in West Philadelphia in the early 2000s. Since that time, I rotate between poisson and dibi whenever I get Senegalese food. West African restaurants are a dime a dozen in Philadelphia, but a lot of the food is just ok, with many of my favorite restaurants changing hands over the years and after COVID most of the food is meh at best. I recently had dibi at the gold standard for Senegalese food in Philadelphia and was disappointed. Fortunately, I have been able to order poisson and dibi from a Malian woman near me and I can make a passable version in a pinch. Two weeks ago, a friend posted on FB that this was the best meal she had ever had. As this was someone I know to have a breadth of experience with food, I was intrigued by the recommendation. So, while attending a conference in the area, I decided to give it a try. Unlike the Senegalese restaurant I recently visited in Chicago, this place was nice - the furnishings, decorations, and even the restroom was modern but authentic. The customer service was also refreshing. As soon as he set the plate down I knew it was going to be spectacular. There was a glorious aroma wafting from the lamb (which I'd ordered spicy), the plantains weren't glistening with oil, and the yassa condiment was a unexpected treat. The lamb was tender, seasoned to perfection and honestly I was so enamored with the food that I texted my friend to concur with her assessment. I was stuffed but didn't want the meal to end and I didn't want to leave. When I finished, I went to wash my hands and when I returned to the table I was disappointed that I had eaten it all. It was truly an outstanding meal with remarkable service. I wish them longevity and success because I intend to return with my family so they too can experience the deliciousness.

I loved the grilled chicken and lamb -- juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The tilapia was a bit underwhelming, mainly because the fish itself has a bit of a muddy aftertaste. Pair it with a sweet and tangy Bissap -- a vibrant sorrel and pineapple juice -- and the whole meal easily scores an 8.5/10. I also really liked the cozy wooden hut vibe of Nailah's Kitchen. The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of tables and chairs, and the red, green, and yellow lights make the whole place feel just as colorful as the dishes they serve. Service was okay, but it's definitely a spot worth visiting for the food.
