Straight away, I should say that I'm a big fan of M'tucci, regardless of the location. I only dined in once, pre-COVID-19. During the pandemic I've gotten meal kits on two occasions and to-go orders on four. Maybe five? I've NEVER been disappointed by the food. It has always been fantastic. In fact, the last time I ordered, my wife and I wanted to try something new. When we were debating a dish we havent tried before (Pasta Giardino), our general response to the question of "will it taste good" was "Its M'tucci's. Its going to be good." So, why a rating of three instead of five? (Updated to four due to an error I made). Well, the food is great and the service is fairly good as well. However, my orders have been wrong SEVERAL times. The first time I ordered to-go, I got home to see that the dessert was missing. When I called, they apologized and refunded me the money back to my credit card. It was a 15 minute drive for me, so I didnt want to go back just for a dessert, no matter how delicious I'm sure it would have been. On another occasion I thought I was missing a dish. While on the phone with them, we realized they had actually given me the right number of meals but one was the wrong dish. I cant remember what the dishes were but even the "wrong" one was delicious, so I wasnt all that bothered. They did refund me, which was nice. On another occasion, there were no issues with the order and the food was delicious. It's always delicious. Yay! More recently, I had two issues in one order. When I called to ask about the menu and if there were any changes, the receptionist said she wasnt sure what menu changes they had but its on the website. I placed my order. After paying I was waiting for my food and looked at my receipt, which I should have done prior. The items were right but the kids item was double the price at $10 instead of $5. Not a big deal but since i was there anyways, I told them. They apologized and called the manager to refund it. The manager looked it over and acted like I was wrong saying several times "thats what you ordered" and seemed to ignore me when I said the price was wrong. Luckily I had pulled up the menu on my phone earlier and showed him. He looked confused saying thats not what I ordered, clearly not even reading the menu. I tried to be extra polite even saying things like "not a big deal. The website was probably just not updated correctly, which is not in his control. Its only $5 and these things happen" early in the conversation. After a few polite but annoyed exchanges he said that was the old menu but he'll honor it and gave me a $5 refund. I appreciate the refund but the way he went about it was rude, acting like he was going out of his way to do a special favor for a mistake I made when in reality the menu online was wrong. Redacted/Update: I thought there was an additional error in this recent order, but there wasnt. This time the error was mine and I ordered the wrong item. Luckily, I know that no matter what error happens or who makes it, the food always taste good. Again, the food is fantastic. I've NEVER been disappointed by the food. However, it would be nice if my order wasn't wrong 75% of the time. I'll still eat there but will now be making sure to check my order before I leave the building. read more

We took the weekend off to visit M'Tucci's for our second go around. We were not disappointed. Our waiter, Josh, treated us very well and his recommendations were spot on. The wine paired perfectly with my wife's braised short ribs and I highly recommend the house Manhattan, one of the beat I've tasted recently and was an excellent precursor to the Pappardelle Porcini Pasta. The chicken was not heavily herbed which allowed the porcini cream sauce, mushrooms, and homemade pasta to really shine. We shared the creme brûlée to finish a wonderful experience. read more

The review is for a delivery order on 5 Dec 2020. COVID sucks. Period. The wife and I decided, after long deliberation, on getting some food from Moderno. We haven't eaten here in some time, so it was nice to give them a try again, and they did not disappoint. I got the Italian fried chicken, while the wife got the house salad (1/2 order) and the Italian buffalo shrimp. We also order a side of sourdough bread with the basil oil. Okay, first my wife said everything she ordered was just perfect for her. Although she was craving pasta, she didn't order any. Weird, huh? But her salad and her Italian buffalo shrimp dish was more than enough, but did give her that "too full" feeling. She was quite happy. My order of the Italian fried chicken and fries was terrific. Not sure how they cooked the chicken, but the meat was fall off the bone tender, yet the outside was crispy and crunchy. The lemon/sheep's milk dipping sauce was great, as well. The bread was good. We only wished it wasn't already sliced, so we can get thicker slice, but other than that, it was good. The basil oil was flavorful and it was nice when lightly toasted in our toaster over. While the food is amazing, I have ordered the artisan pizza 4 times to take home after my meal there. The artisan dough is what makes the pizza outstanding, and I happily pay extra for it. Twice, I got home to find it had the regular dough which makes it just a bordinary pizza, nothing special. I emailed the company about this and received no response. I would have appreciated an apology and hear they would improve on this in the future. With no response, I am now finding other places to get a sourdough crust on my pizza, and finding other places to dine at. read more

On a recent weekday evening we were allowed to dine in observing distance seating regulations. It was very comfortable, and certainily very attentative. Our wait person was able to explain the "specials" of the evening, and answer questions about some menu items. But , alas, now to the food items. My wife ordered the plain old spaghetti and meat balls , and i had the special hanger steak. Due to the early of the hour , 5pm, we were tolerant in the delay of getting our meal. Very slow cooking .. Her meal was tasteless and she only consumed half. My steak was tough , small , and overcooked. The insalta served with these were old and warm. I love the original one on Coors but this one saved my life a little over a year ago when I had my baby. Presbytarian Rust Hospital is just down the street from here and they are a great hospital, especially to give birth at. Their cafeteria is pretty good but after all the child birth I needed some serious comfort food, so I sent my hubby to M'tucci's for some eggplant parmigiana. He got one of their flatbread pizzas and a few happy hour appetizers, which were amazing as well! Not only did I send my hubby for postpartum food but we went there almost after every dr visit at Rust. They have a great bar and the bartenders made me a few virgin mocktails so I could take part in the fun as well. They made me a shrub without alcohol, which is a cocktail made with apple cider vinegar. I know it sounds weird, but it was delicious!! Just try it and you'll thank me later! If you can make the trip during happy hour, do it! Their specials are so delicious and they do half off on their appetizers, you can basically make a meal of it. Just think tapas!! The best meal I had in ABQ. Possibly, the best meal I've had in a while. Where to start? First of all, I apologize that I only have pictures of the drink and appetizers because I got so caught up in eating the amazing food, I forgot to take pics! I have to commend this restaurant first and foremost on their customer service. I made reservations for our party of 4 on Saturday night but being from out-of-town, I didn't realize until we arrived that I had made reservations at the wrong location! The hostesses were extremely helpful and nice. They were able to seat us right away and call the other location to report that we would not be coming. As soon as we sat down, the great service continued with our lovely server. She was very personable and friendly, but not overly so in a creepy way (see my review of the Range Cafe...) We started with drinks and the fried brie and calamari. My Italian cream soda was pretty good. The food just kept getting better and better though! The fried brie came with fruit and bread and the calamari was perfectly cooked and not at all chewy. We each got a full entree, mine being the eggplant parmesan. I tried a few bites of everyone's and each dish was uniquely delicious. I don't think there is a bad item on the menu. To top if all off, we took dessert home because we couldn't eat anything else. I normally just got for chocolate but I was really happy with the "twinkie" filled with white chocolate mousse cream and topped with pecans. Again, I don't think a single option on the dessert menu could have been bad. I look forward to next time we visit ABQ and getting to test out my theory. read more

I've been to this restaurant twice now and have enjoyed it both times. Both times the service and the food was excellent. My last time going was the day before Easter. Our waitress was very kind and talkative. I got the yellow fin special, which was very good. The desserts looked amazing, and I shared the gelato. I have a weakness for pasta, so I am looking forward to returning many times in the future to try out their various pasta dishes. I do like how they have a variety, including steak, salad, and fish in addition to pasta dishes, for those who might not be pasta fans like me. Fly infested 175.00 nightmare. Six people people eating pasta with a constant group of flies buzzing in our faces..inside..Could not get any bread or graded cheese after multiple requests. Waitress said we needed to order bread unlike every other Italian place that puts bread on the table. So she could not bring the graded cheese until the bread was ready. Manager came over to try and make us look bad but could not explain why we could not get graded cheese at the same time our pasta was served. The steak special but had no flavor unless you add the verde sauce ( which is a required taste) sucks cause the meat need the salt more than the fish. Spaghetti dish sauce had no flavor. Lobster Canelloni tasted not fresh and had no flavor (ore of mush in a roll) . There more to the the experience but it could be just an off night but not impressed (especially when the check came and was over a bill with hiccups on their part) Great places for drinks and pizza/ appetizer. They have delivery services available or you can pick up the food. Everything is made with love and fresh ingredients. Their menu is simple and perfect for lunch work meetings. Their salads and sandwiches are delicious but they have a variety of Charcuterie boards to snack on. The service is excellent and the prices reflect the quality and taste is the food. I was excited to have the green chile pork tenderloin sandwich only to get an overcooked fried tenderloin served on a cheap hamburger bun. The sandwich doesn't work anyway...Ketchup? Mustard? Onions? This ISN'T a hamburger. The green chile tasted like it was canned. The bun was cheap tasting and soggy from the water that the green chile was packed in. Horrible sandwich!!! (Three of us tried three different dishes and all were not edible) Well a birthday party for a friend gave us no choice but to try this new location. We deceived to go with an open mind as 7 people told us how wonderful it was. High prices. Snobby waitstaff Slow service Many items sold out on the menu. Cold food. Ok food. Maybe mediocre food. Nothing, absolutely nothing makes me want to come back. The wait staff acted snobby and perturbed that we had questions. They had a offended reaction when we tried to make a special request on a dish and became almost rude and annoyed when we had to add an additional person to our table. Non of the food was finished at the table and none was worth taking the leftovers in a to go box. Then the bill came and sticker shock was an understatement. So many better choices in the area for food and service, and almost everyplace is a cheaper option. The only reason I gave 2 stars rather than 1 was because of all the positive things I heard about it form others.
