Delicious food, soft lighting and attentive service make Savoy a standout. However, the only thing that would make this dining experience that much better, improving the parking. I'm incredibly hopeful that the parking lot will get a complete makeover. The parking spaces are incredibly small, if one person parks wonky- the entire row is subject to door dings from other cars.

My wife and I were regulars at Savoy since it opened, but we haven't been visiting as often as we used to since prices are up notably and we felt like the number of special items on offer had dropped. I'm glad we returned. Our Christmas Eve visit last night was a delight, with tasteful and pretty decor, great service (owners circulating on-site, working amongst the staffers) and remarkably good food. And drinks were - dare I say, reasonably inexpensive for a place of this caliber. The brie and sour cherry appetizer was generously portioned and the toasts were well matched to the creaminess with a light garlic butter. My wife's old standby filet (with spinach casserole and mashed potatoes) was cooked exactly as she'd requested it and completely delicious. My (special) 24-hour smoked brisket may have been the best brisket I've ever eaten: another generous portion loaded with subtle, sophisticated flavor and so tender it melted in my mouth, served with a light honey spice glaze, a perfect buttery/crispy hasselback potato and rapini sauteed to just the right bright green crunch. Lord, I haven't enjoyed a meal so much in some time - and our retirement frequently centers on foodie travel. Fantastic - thanks so much for taking care of us, Tim, and for opening for the holiday, Cat and Kevin! My wife and I probably need to simply deal with the fact that prices have increased (where haven't they?) and return to our frequent visit habit - Savoy does a really great job. If you're like us and have slowed your visits, consider rethinking that.

The wasabi sesame seared ahi tuna was just incredible. I was concerned that the wasabi mashed potatoes would be too much but they were absolutely perfect. Best on the description I wasn't sure it was going to work for me, but now it's my favorite. The staff was pleasant and willing to answer questions about the menu. The waiter was willing to nudge us in the right direction for a really great experience. Ambiance was good today, but we went early in the evening so not a ton of people. We've been there when it was crowded in the past and it can get loud.

Filet mignon was decent, no complaints from my daughter and mom but the prime rib was a Bit tough. Calamari was good as well. Service was a bit "cold" and slow. Waiter was Deceitful about the salad and soup was not part of the entries, we were charged $40 for a cup of potato soup and 3 salad. Food didnt wow me to go back in the futures.

I think I've found my new favorite restaurant in Albuquerque.... The service was incredible and we've thoroughly enjoyed every dish! We ordered a dozen Oysters, Caesar salad, Ahi Tuna, Prime Rib and crème brûlée. The portion size is more than generous, especially for the price point. Lovedddd their dirty martini. Their oysters are probably the best I've had in the New Mexico... I can't say enough good things about Savoy! Shoutout to Heather for providing us with amazing service. I'm eager to come back for future date nights & celebrations ahead!

We had another great experience here ! We stopped in early before a show at the Popejoy. We had a round of apps and martinis with another good cocktail for our daughter. Then tuna, steak, and a Caesar w salmon. Half order truffle fries. Coffee and chocolate truffles to finish. $230 , a great value for the quality of food and overall e periwnce Highly recommend our server Nick, he was cheerful and professional, anticipating.our needs and sharing our enthusiasm for being there. This is,hands down, pur fave Abq restaurant, keep up the great work!

Dorothea's is a nice white table cloth restaurant that feels upscale but still homey enough to bring our soon to be 2 yo grandson. We had: Steamed clams 5/5: The clams were prepared, presented and flavored well. There were 2 clams that didn't open so it would have been nice if they just removed them instead of tempting us to pry them open (which would be bad clams) but the other clams were so good we wanted to open them! The sauce was a little too wine-y for me but I can see how some people would enjoy dipping the bread they give you into it. Crab mac and cheese 5/5: Wow. The bechamel sauce was so rich and creamy! Good chunks of crab made this mac and cheese so decadent! Greek salad 4/5: This was fresh and tasty but I was a little surprised by how small the salad was considering all the other dishes have such an amazing price point! It would serve once person well. Lobster pasta 5/5: Nice spicy kick that hits you later. Good chunks of lobster and the pasta was so light! I forgot to ask if it was fresh pasta or not. Maybe a question for our next visit! Niko gyro 5/5: the meat was good but what made it amazing was all those nice shoestring fries on top! The fries also had some kind of spicy pepper on top that gives it the extra kick! Traditional gyro 4/5: This was just your traditional gyro with fries. It's good but it doesn't seem fancy! Overall I love this place! The price point is amazing and if we have the time I would definitely like to come again with the family. The service was great with our waiter David filling our water glasses without us having to ask. He also cleared the table and was easy to talk to. Love this place!

My favorite were the little neck clams, lamb lollipop, and Greek plate. The Saganaki, crab stack, and tiropita were just okay. Lamb Shank: This was one of the best entrees ordered. The meat was fall apart tender and flavorful. The orzo was a little watery but was cooked to the correct doneness. Branzino: I assumed that this would be a whole branzino fish but they had already taken it apart which was nice. However, there were a couple of bones that were missed. Crab Mac: This was cheesy and very good. My only grip is that the pasta was a little overcooked. Service: 5 The servers were patient with all the questions and orders from a big group. They did not make any mistakes and food came out at good intervals. Ambiance: 5 The restaurant would be perfect for a date night. It wasn't too noisy and offered a little privacy between tables.

It was served over rice with green beans and topped with a fresh mango salsa that added just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the fish. Everything on the plate complemented each other really well. To pair with dinner, I had a glass of the 631 Merlot, and it was excellent. It was smooth, rich, and paired perfectly with the meal. If you enjoy red wine but don't want anything too overpowering, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. The restaurant itself has a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels upscale without being pretentious. The service reason it received a 4 star was for the service. Our waitress was very friendly but it took a very long time to bring our drink order and apps. This was because she said she was given two tables at once. So it was not her fault. Overall, experience made for a really enjoyable evening. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu--and of course, more of their wines!

Hidden Gem in Nobhill Albuquerque…read more I recently visited the restaurant at Mission Winery and had a great experience from start to finish. To start, I ordered the sangria and the crab & artichoke dip. The sangria was on the sweeter side but not overwhelmingly so, making it easy to enjoy with the appetizer. The dip was delicious, creamy, and packed with flavor, although I honestly couldn't taste much artichoke. It was still a great starter, especially paired with the bread. For dinner, I ordered the red chile fried chicken bites with fries. The chicken was the standout of the meal--crispy, flavorful, and coated in a delicious red chile sauce that had just the right amount of kick. The fries were perfectly cooked and paired well with the ketchup. My friend shared the appetizer with me and ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad, which she enjoyed alongside one of the wine tasting flights. The real surprise of the evening came after dinner. Our host handed us a card with a password to access the speakeasy downstairs. If you visit Mission Winery, don't skip this part. The speakeasy had a completely different atmosphere from the restaurant above and quickly became the highlight of the night. The space feels intimate, sophisticated, and thoughtfully designed, with dark wood accents, comfortable seating, and a stylish lounge vibe. My friend and I both ordered espresso martinis, and they were fantastic. The presentation alone was impressive--the unique glassware was chilled and helped keep the cocktail cold longer, allowing us to enjoy it at a relaxed pace. Between the excellent food, wine, creative cocktails, and the hidden speakeasy experience, Mission Winery offers much more than just a typical dinner out. The restaurant was great, but the speakeasy downstairs is what will have me coming back. Recommendation: Start with dinner upstairs, then ask about the speakeasy password and finish your evening downstairs with an espresso martini. It's one of the coolest date night or girls' night experiences I've found in Albuquerque.
