No pictures sorry. Charcuterie board is awesome. You can get it on the bar menu if you get there at the right time. The entire bar menu is great. Their mushroom soup is the best I have ever had. Asparagus with lemon pecorino is delicious. I actually like this menu better than the original M'Tucci's. read more

Over priced, small portions and slow service at Mtuccis moderno. Spent $70+ for lunch with my niece, and it was garbage. Forgot things I ordered and had to wait a very long time for the forgotten items. No compensation for mistakes. Unfortunately, I will not return to dine here. read more

Update. We still do mostly carryout until the latest COVID spike subsides. But carryout is slipping. I would recommend checking your order before you leave. The latest: The Artichoke Pesto Ravioli had on 6 raviolis. Barely covered the bottom of the dish. The Twinkie was half of what you get when you eat in. Same price. That said, this is our favorite restaurant -- along with the one on Coors Blvd.  Before Covid 19 times, we went every two weeks for either lunch or supper.  Everything on the menu is outstanding.  My favorite is the Shrimp Campanelle.  My wife's favorite is the spaghetti.  We both love the desserts -- especially the Twinkie.  Service is always great and personable.  On Wednesday night they have specials to include 1/2 price on the house wines.  Lunch includes a 1/2 entree and 1/2 salad option which is just the right amount (if you split dessert or an appetizer).  I am amazed because I read the description of a dish and think, "Those are some strange combinations."  Then I order it.  Then I savor the taste sensations.  Then I wonder how they ever thought of combining the ingredients and coming up with something so incredible!  Don't try this at home!   With the Covid 19 pandemic, we have been ordering on line.  Give them a call when you get there.  Their server comes out with mask and gloves and puts the order right in the trunk.  You cannot get better service . . . or food . . . anywhere! read more

Excellent!! On our way from Santa Fe to Albuquerque and found out our flight was delayed so logged onto Yelp for great Italian food. M'tucci's was out of the way for our trip to the airport but well worth the stop. I had the lunch portion of Miata salad and Spagettini and Meatballs made with Heritage Pork and Veal meatballs. Excellent!!! My husband had the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich with fruit. Also excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant if you find yourself with time. read more

This review is long overdue! I used to really like this place and had no complaints. The host and the servers are attentive and provided good service. I continued to support them through the pandemic by ordering to-go during my lunch breaks every few weeks. My favorites were the calamari and hanger steak. This stopped when I got food poisoning for the first time ever, and I was sure it was from here because I hadn't eaten anything else that day. Since I've been ordering the same thing for months, I knew that the mashed potatoes tasted off (like it's sour/spoiled?), and the asparagus seemed old. I didn't finish my food and decided to just throw away the rest. This may be TMI, but I had diarrhea for a week and my bowel movement was messed up for another two. I haven't been back in a year because of this, but I might soon try this Mtucci's again and hopefully will have a better experience. read more

So just tried M'tucci's with the family. We tend to do the chains and wanted something different. Not too busy for a Saturday night. They sat my family and we looked over the menu. They do not have a kids menu but said we could make what we you like. Asked my kids what they wanted, Baked Ziti, ok not on the menu but we will wait and see. No one ever came to see us for about 10-15 min, could have helped talk us through the confusion my kids were having about what they could actually get. I was getting nervous I was going to pay for a $15 plate of food they would not eat. Waited some more and decided to go with Olive Garden, they have a kids menu,and we ordered in the parking lot of M'tucci's and was ready when we pulled up down the hill. It is a shame, we were really looking forward to a family dinner at a nice establishment Do they have good food? Couldn't tell ya. Was the atmosphere nice? it was laid out nice and seemed like a good place to dine, but do not know for sure. Do they cater to families? Again, not sure, may be best to just advertise as an adult restaurant, seemed with the bar and the lack of a kids menu, an all adult restaurant would be a niche market. Service? Wasn't there, short of being sat down never interacted with anyone. Will I go back? Probably not, not a good fit for my family, if I am going out, would probably hit up Marble for drinks and Iron Horse for food. read more

Great tasting food. I was a bit surprised to see a charge for bread and olive oil. That's something I would rather pay for hidden in the price of other food. Bread should be standard. The pork cheek pasta was awesome as was the lemon meringue cocktail. My mother did not enjoy the calamari saying it was not very crispy. But my buffalo shrimp were right on point. Husband and I went here for our anniversary and we were so pleased! They have outdoor seating which is a big plus for me. Started off with the charcuterie board D absolutely delicious. I had the shrimp Campanella and the pasta was perfection. Everything is made in house including the pasta. Husband had a pasta dish with shrimp and mussels in a saffron cream sauce (I can't find the item online on their menu). Only took a star off because there was some grit in the mussels. Our server was excellent and she even took the price of our desert (Tiramisu) off for being our first visit at the restaurant. Overall a great experience and we will be back. read more

My girlfriend and I are big fans of the Montano location of M'Tucci's, so we figured the Rio Rancho one would be worth a try if we were in the area. Don't let the location (strip mall, inside a space that looks more pep boys than fine dining) fool you. This is excellent food. Of the two, I think the Montano location is a little better, but still, absolutely excellent. Will come back next time I need to eat something in Rio Rancho. read more

After the Yelp event I attended here, I wanted to give the full menu a try. And I'm so happy I did. This a place where you want to be a regular. This restaurant is designed to be welcoming -- clean, modern decor super high ceilings, a gorgeous view. It somehow manages to straddle the very difficult line of being a perfect date restaurant or a perfect family venue. While the service was generally strong, it did drop off a bit at the end of the night (long wait for water refills and the check). But I consider that a minor quibble. Both the cocktail list and the menu reflect a strong focus on well crafted cuisine. The Manhattan flight is a perfect microcosm -- three variations all carefully paired right down to the type of bitters used. That's a level of execution highly uncommon in the Q. I venture to say that you'd be happy with anything on their list, and if you're not, they'll fix it. The food is mouthwatering. The Buffalo Shrimp appetizer is a generous pile of very lightly breaded, gently sauced, tender shrimp that could easily serve as a light main. The polenta crostini completely exceeded my admittedly low expectations, a crunchy creamy textural delight with lusciously soft goat cheese. You're well served by any pasta on the list, but the bolognese argodolce is particularly good, a rich, meaty dish elevated by the citrusy gremolata. The chicken milanese is another excellent choice, not just breaded chicken but a lovely piece of moist breast topped with burrata. Don't miss dessert, especially the bread pudding, particularly the port wine cherries. read more

Wow. That's it. I can complete my review to just that one word. I've visited twice and both times were fantastic visits. The establishment is beautiful and sitting outside with a small breeze is as good as it gets! Everything I've tasted has been delicious... no complaints here. The servers are great (Now knowledged to what tepid water is). We had a very nice conversation with the manager and it wasn't "how's everything" then walking away they are actually curious. The cucumber in the water is a nice refreshing touch. Food is great, staff are great and prices are terrific!! You MUST go at least once (i bet it won't be your last). read more

Company Christmas party at the new Rio Rancho location. I've been to the west side location so I was hoping for the same type quality of food. There was a party room just off the side of the main restaurant where 45 of us dined on a Buffett style menu. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top notch. I didn't/couldn't give 5 stars because we waited over an hour for our main course, ran out and had to wait for more to be cooked, we preordered weeks in advance and had final numbers to them well before the night of the party. They were ill prepared for such a large crowd which was disappointing because the food that did come out was absolutely devine. This is a relatively new restaurant so I'm hoping they can improve upon their cook staff. But I will definitely be back during regular hours to enjoy more of their food! read more

Horrible cleanliness! My glass had a gnat stuck to the inside rim. The manager sat a couple down next to us and dropped one of their menus on the floor. He picked it up off the floor and gave it to the couple. The manager was also walking with a plate of food to be served, when an employee whipped her hair right into the food. The manager served the floor that had touched her hair. Nasty! On the menu it states the names of the chefs of the restaurant, usually this is an indication of a higher quality restaurant, but not in this case. On a good note, the food tasted fresh and delicious! The owner needs to fire the front of house manager and get better operations. The decor of the restaurant is split into two, one side is the modern bar area with an upstairs, and the other is a typical restaurant with tables. read more

I'm a big fan of M'Tucci. The food, service and atmosphere is just always so inviting, creative and delicious. However, I live in the deep trenches of Rio Rancho and heading out after a long day for dinner is not always something I have energy for - especially now that I'm pregnant. How I missed the fact that M'Tucci opened up M'Tucci Moderno closer to my neck of the woods is beyond me - oh wait, I think because I've only had baby things on my mind. That must be it. The hubs and I headed out to dinner and what a dinner it was. We both had a selection from the specials of the evening. I had the halibut and my husband had the pork loin. He ate every bite. I would have too if I had the real estate and wasn't already thinking about dessert. The halibut was seasoned perfectly and accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes and arugula. My husband's pork loin was rolled in something that I cannot recall but it was delicious and roasted to perfection. Our server was amazing. I wanted something virgin from the bar and she did not disappoint. I ended up with a virgin strawberry daquiri but the first drink she brought me look amazing. It had rosemary and unfortunately pineapple (I'm allergic), had I had an epi pen on me, I might have been tempted enough to try it. Maybe. It looked and smelled amazing. We attempted dessert. Well, I attempted dessert, my husband devoured his bread pudding. It was delicious but oh my goodness I had the lemon sponge cake that was filled with creme and fairy tale goodness. Again, had I had the real estate for it, I would devoured it just the same. The point of the story is - go, just go. You will not be disappointed. Everything I was hoping for and more. While the food is good, we had a terrible experience. Right after we ordered the manager came over to our table, tapped me on the shoulder and pointed out that my 3 year old was sitting on his feet and "the cushions are brand new and he didn't want them damaged." Never once were we asked if he needed a booster seat or something to get him at a height that he didn't need to sit on his feet/legs to reach the table. I wish we would have just left because the rest of our meal I felt like we were inferior customers because we had kids. To top it off our drinks were never refilled and the service was definitely subpar considering there were only four families in the entire restaurant. We'll find another Italian place. Came in for dinner @ 5:15pm on Oct 2nd with plenty of tables open and empty. Was told that we could be seated but had to be done eating and out by 6:15pm to make room for a group of 13! I have eaten at restaurants all around the world in my travels and this was a first for me. I would NEVER go here if I were you unless you like being treated like crap. My lunch was lukewarm and not very flavorful. Ordered eggplant parmigiana and it was served with lukewarm pasta and not enough sauce to even cover the dish. I realize this is not a state that is known for great Italian food, however if the food is hot it would have made it more palatable. I had a bad experience with their deli 2 years ago and the response from the management was at best apathetic . Hope they use this site to improve their business model and not just write the valuable complaints off. Most people will not make the effort to let the business know about an uncomfortable experience . Good Italian food is my favorite and it is not that complicated to make. Food generally bland, someone should donate a spice rack to the kitchen. They charge you for bread. What kind of Italian place does that? 4 people close to $200. I love their other location on Coors and was so happy when this location opened but I have been twice and things are just lacking. Service is not great and the food has been just okay. I will give it another try hoping for better. The grilled artichoke was just passing, the cream of mushroom soup was great, the roast beef sandwich was tough and chewy.
