Nice local brewhouse with good tacos. We needed a little bite after some inner tubbing so we stopped in. We had some local brew and shared some tacos. It all hit the spot. It's a great hang in Koloa. Will definitely be back.

While definitely on the pricey side (especially as Californians) these were top notch tacos. Especially the grilled tacos. Service was great. I had the banana stout and was really surprised. I expected it to be sickly sweet but it wasn't! Had a lovely mostly banana with slight chocolate flavor that really worked with a stout. It's strong so a 5oz pour was perfect for me. Outside seating made it perfect. Highly recommend.

As a brewery fan, I knew I had to finally visit this spot having met the brewer Ben and tried their beer at various festivals. Thanks to a friend while visiting Kauai recently, he brought us here and we had the best time. The place is in Old Koloa Village, with a cozy open vibe, lots of windows, plus plenty of outdoor seating if you're visiting on a sunny day. The interior has a utilitarian feel, with a big bar, ordering area, and the brewhouse visible behind. They have a nice merch section to the right. Restrooms are shared with the complex outside. Ben showed us a fantastic time. We tried every beer on tap, and talked about each one as we went. He also was a fan of their smash burgers, and had us one of each made to try and share during our visit. It was great going down this guided tasting with a guy that's clearly proud of his work and beer. They have a bunch of different styles on a tap at any time, with light ones to very dark, and all the flavors you could want in between. The anniversary imperial stout was my favorite on this visit. If you're a beer fan on Kauai, this is a must-visit and can be added to Kauai Island Brewing's new taproom nearby. Cheers to great local beer!

The idea of Mucho Aloha Brewhouse came about during a backyard BBQ in Seal Beach, CA that made its way across the Pacific Ocean and landed on the island of Kaua'i. As a tribute to celebrating among family and friends with great beer and food, a welcoming gathering place was created for everyone to come together and share stories. I'm not a beer drinker but my husband is and he enjoyed their selections. We got here for happy hour, but unfortunately the flights don't count for happy hour, only certain beers. They also have a limited food selection. We came here on a Friday night when they had a local band playing. The band was great and was a pleasant surprise since it wasn't something that we were planning on.

Visited MAB twice on our recent visit to Kauai. Fun place to hang out and have a few beers. Taplist was decent, with multiple style options. (lagers, IPAs, Pale, wee heavy). Since my go to beer style is hazy IPAs, I ordered the Pineapple Xpress Hazy IPA (6% abv). Although it tasted like a hazy, look-wise, I wouldn't have considered this to be a hazy. But regardless, it was the best beer I had on the island. They offer 2 options; a sample or a pint. I do think they should offer a half pour or schooner option. (A little more than a tiny sampler glass). But all things considered, it's a fun spot. Great vibe. Lots of outdoor seating. Great location! Lots of shops nearby to walk to after a beer or 2! Kōloa town is so cute!!

This is a reliable spot for a good meal. Since food options can be fairly limited around Kōloa, this was a good find (and we came back twice while staying in the area). The beer is good, there's a good selection. As any brewery, I wouldn't recommend the cocktails (from my experience ordering a margarita one time - wasn't my fav). That said, the food is actually pretty good. The shrimp tacos are great, fish tacos delicious (not a ton of fish on them but that seems consistent to everywhere). The taco salad was probably the overall favorite we had here, it's fresh and really good. The smash burger is average, probably wouldn't have that again but it's not bad either. This is a cute area and overall vibe - the nice thing too is they're open a bit later. The service is decently quick and overall good! I'd come back the next time I'm on Kauai if I'm in Kōloa area!

Looking for a chill brewery to relax outside and grab some bites we found mucho aloha as a new spot to try. There was an extensive list of beer choices many with tropical inspiration. We dropped in on a Thursday which also had a margarita special for $13. We ordered fish tacos and the burger and grabbed a seat. The beer was solid but the margarita was one of the worst I have had in a while, an overly sour mix it didn't taste fresh at all. Our food came out pretty quickly. The fish tacos were very small and didn't have a lot of fish but had a tasty crema sauce. The burger was honestly really delicious with the sauce and spicy jalapeno topping, it was by far the highlight of the meal. Food cost in the area is generally high but $80 the portions felt exceptionally

Must try. Koloa town is a fun place to visit and has grown quite a bit just over the last few years. This brewhouse is located in a cool spot back from the road and has a lot of seating and a super chill vibe. You order at the bar and service is fast and friendly. The drinks and food are both great. The fish burrito was tasty and fresh. I have to spotlight the Mucholada. It is their version of a michelada and it's one of the best if not the best I've ever had. The michelada mix paired with the house blend of spices on the rim was 10/10. Add in the live music and it should be on your list when visiting the majestic south shore. There are 5 more places within a 2 minute walk you have to try, so make sure to visit Koloa town. There is plenty of parking so don't just pass through his town on your way down to poipu.

Just arrived in Kauai, discovered this Brewhouse just looking for a good beer and tacos. OMG! What a great place to eat and have good food. The street tacos were made with quality ingredients taste so good. But the best find was the amber ale brew. So smooth, no bitter taste. Exceptionally good grilled fish tacos. The fish was Marlin, which like swordfish can be dry, but the fish here was perfectly cooked. Also had a very drinkable Pilsner. Overall, a place I would happily come back to. read more

Had an amazing time here during a tsunami warning! Due to incredible crowds (most places closed, and much of Poipu was evacuated), the menu was reduced to street tacos. Fortunately, they are some of the most DELICIOUS street tacos I've ever had (and coming from California, we eat them a lot). We also had a few of their tasty brews (my favorite was the Koloa Sugar Mill Lager) and loved each of them. Five stars, will return! read more

Bar tender was really knowledgeable and helped with what I needed. However the food was below average. We ordered the libre nachos and shrimp tacos along with kids quesadillas. A beer and rum. It was not cheap at all. There are better places for much affordable price or fine dining. read more

So you just have to remember you are in Kauai and not get annoyed when they tell you they are out of both fish AND carne asada. You can also skip the chips and salsa. But the shrimp tacos are pretty good, the kids menu does the job, and the view into the garden, sipping a hazy IPA, will still fill you with the aloha spirit. read more

I've had nachos all over the world, at some of the highest rated places you can find. So I've had good nachos before. But. These were the best. The very best nachos I've ever had. Period. Hands down. Positives: nice open, outdoor space. Clean. Negatives: food was ok at best but not good enough for price. Grilled fish tacos were small. Also, I hate places where not only do you have to go up to bar to order everything yourself, but then their system asks for tips (starting at 18%)!before you even see or get your food. We came for casual dinner on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was not full, but no one brought us our drinks, and we had to wait 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Service was slow even for the outer islands. The food was just sad. Chips were stale; guacamole was flavorless; and tacos left a lot to be desired. I did like the outdoor seating, but that's the beginning and end of the good things about this place. read more

We really wanted to like Mucho Aloha Brewhouse, but unfortunately, it has disappointed us both times we visited. Our first experience, shortly after they opened, was underwhelming--the service was slow, and the food was just okay. Hoping things had improved, we decided to give it another shot a couple of years later, only to be let down again. The service was still terrible, and the food was just okay--but overpriced for what it was. Despite the place not being busy, it took nearly 30 minutes just for someone to take our drink and food order. As locals who love supporting our community's breweries, this was especially frustrating. There are so many great local breweries with wonderful staff who are eager to get to know you and make you feel welcomed--unlike Mucho Aloha Brewhouse. Sadly, we won't be coming back. There are too many great options to waste time on one that consistently fails to deliver. read more

Food was pretty good, I wouldn't say outstanding but I was also very bummed that they were out of all fresh fish and shrimp (so basically all seafood) for the rest of the day. This was at 4pm :( I got the chicken burrito bowl which was good, husband got the smash burger which he liked and my toddler got a chicken quesadilla that he wouldn't eat - but that was him just being a toddler - so I had some of his and enjoyed it. Also got guac which had no seasoning, it could have used at least a little salt or lime (or cilantro). Hoping to come back when they have fish! read more

There are several things that separate this restaurant/bar from others: 1) Avoid the crowded restaurants near resorts. This restaurant is located in old town and a totally different vibe. Open, clean, friendly,easy parking, etc. 2) You order at bar and then bring food to you. Food was amazing and fresh. 1 hour wait for take out. I was told 30 minutes. Others who ordered after me finished their meal before I even got my order. When I got home 2 items from my order were missing. But, I did get something I didn't order ...or want. 1 hour for smashburger and some taco toppings thrown on a tortilla seems a little excessive. read more

Located in a nice tucked in area of historical Old Koloa town. Fantastic food and excellent drinks. I returned multiple times just to sit in their porch area, have a spicy margarita and appreciate the ambiance of the feral chickens, birds, botanical gardens and tourists. Wonderful time. read more

I had high hopes for this place. They were out of 4 major things the day we went. We ordered the corn, chips and Guac, tacos and a burrito. As well as Mai tais. We were excited for the Mai tais because they said they had foam on top which is our favorite but they didn't add any. The waiter outside was nice but the waiter behind the bar wasn't as nice and seemed annoyed. It wasn't just when we went. The carnitas were actually very good. Absolutely love this place so much we are already back for round two in the same day. The whole Koloa Old Town area is perfection. Has the vintage charm with added twinkle lights and every is still clean and modern inside without losing the old time feel. Open and fresh feeling inside. They run specials daily so be sure to inquire. Monday is all day happy hour, we may have to come back. Whether you're looking for a snack, tacos or even a burrito, they also have a large selection of fabulous beers. The stouting horn (Belgian imperial chocolate stout) was my husband's favorite of the trip. We sat on the patio for round 1 and ordered two beers and burritos and then returned for more stout and a Mocktail. Burrito had amazing flavor and chicken was tender. Though everything was cooked well and tasted great, the blonde food runner "Marsh" with the either British or Australian accent was super rude and condescending when we asked her questions as well as when we finally received our food. Wanted a beer and a snack after touring the Waimea lookouts. Grab a menu and sit at the bar as the sign told me to. No one asks if I need anything. I get in line to order from the desk - lovely woman assists me. Order a beer and ask what the 'happy nachos' off the happy hour menu - signs everywhere (on menu and at bar) say 'happy hour 3pm-5pm' as the woman answers man yells 'no happy hour on weekends' - she looks surprised as do I by the way it was yelled and no simple 'sorry' offered. Stick with my beer and head to patio to sit. Start sipping. And see same man spraying something at rooster and a bunch of chicks to get them to go away. Uses the spray to clean tables. He sees me looking at him oddly and looks right at me offering nothing. Just a weird masc aggro energy here. Won't be back. Beer was decent- nothing to write home about. Not busy. read more

Beto was so flexible to our needs and desired taste: he knows his cuisine. It is loud here and on the main strip in Kapaa- so be ready! Love this place though! The staff are really nice and have quick service. We order drinks from the bar and then order food from the other stand (where you can also acquire towels).
