We had Mucho Gusto cater a graduation party in Eugene with their "Fresh Mexican Buffet." The whole process was very easy to arrange online, with a quick response and knowledgeable answers to our questions leading up to the event. They arrived on-time for the delivery, and set everything up professionally. The food was great, with two different types of beans and proteins along with all of the fixings for tacos or bowls. Pickup also arrived on time. Don't react negatively to "sticker shock" when you see the buffet pricing; the per-head pricing is quite reasonable and the delivery/pickup price wasn't steep. They even include all of the plates/cutlery/napkins. We really couldn't have been more pleased with how the whole catering order went. read more

Mucho is one of my favorite places. I can eat it for lunch, or dinner. It's been a long while since I have branched off of my favorite dish because it is always consistently good. That is just one of the reasons I love Mucho Gusto so much. I love that their food is made fresh daily, with fresh ingredients. My go to is the beef tostada, with fresh avocado added, and mango salsa. I don't frequent this location as often as the Oakway location. Both of them are on point, efficient, and I love the way the staff all work as a well oiled machine. I wish I lived closer, I would probably eat here more often. read more

Having lived in Eugene for four years, I can't believe it took me this long to try it for the first time. One of the highlights of my visit was the Mucho Dip. The portions are incredibly generous--definitely big enough to share, especially with the unlimited chips provided when dining in. I tried much gusto for the first time the other day and it was great! A nice change from chipotle or other Mexican fast casual chains. All the ingredients seemed very high quality. Excellent tacos and burritos! My brother raved about this place, so when in Eugene, give it a go, right? I had a burrito with chicken and just about everything. The vegetables were fresh, the chicken was cooked well and marinated in a delicious mix. The chips offered were house made and fantastic. The salsa that came with it was a little too spicy for my taste. I gave 4 stars because it wasn't lunch hour and tables were still a mess and trash in the floor. Maybe the lunch rush was crazy and they just hadn't got to it yet, but it was already close to 3pm and the restaurant had only 2 tables occupied. I absolutely love the people that work at Mucho Gusto. Where the food lacks, their attitude, personality, and service absolute pick up the slack. I can attest to this especially, because every now and then there's some incidental cross contamination with my food and they NEVER make me feel bad when they have to remake my order. It's always genuinely apologetic, sincere, and I never have to advocate for myself. With all that being said, the food is always amazing and so fresh- with one caveat: the tofu. Please, please, please just set the tofu a LITTLE bit further away from all the meat, and just scrape the cheese off of the black top. That's all that's holding you from the strongest 5 star I could give for a chain restaurant. It had been awhile since I had been to MG so I decided to stop in and grab a mucho dip to snack on for a couple days...came straight home and was starving had not had anything but my coffee...I ate about a third of it and was full..thank god!! Because 3 hours later I was so sick I almost called 911 I didn't know what was going on..finally my body was able to reject all of it! I also got a strawberry slush drink I don't have any clue what made me sick it all looked fresh and tasted fine but something was very wrong. I enjoy the Grande Salad with cod. It's the only thing I get and am satisfied with it every time. I like the consistently crisp of the romaine and cabbage, the fluffiness of the rice and the mild and tender cod. I get all the fresh salsa and top it with their guac and pepita citrus dressing. The staff here are so sweet! I just stopped in to get some lunch and the woman taking my order asked about my fishing hat and we had a nice back & forth convo. The food is great if they wouldn't rip you off every time you try and go there. The portions have been sooo small lately pretty disappointing. I dread coming here because the workers are always sooo rude and not friendly at all. I went there today and the service was terrible and food portion was so small it looked like I got a kids meal. Stopped in on a whim and was amazed by how delicious the food is! The beef is a very delicious birria with large servings of all the toppings, protein, and rice. The chips were a bit salty but they balanced out with everything else. I'm Mexican and from LA so I'm used to really good Mexican food. This restaurant has the potential to be a really fine and needed restaurant in south Eugene. I went there tonight and about 6:15 and was the only customer, a Friday night before a holiday this place should be rockin'. Something is wrong. Tonight is the second time in a row I have been totally displeased with their operation. First a few months ago I was told at the cash register that there was an upcharge for the hot sauce. I was not told this was happening as it was put on my plate so I had no choice. I didn't pay for their upcharge. Tonight again disappointed, asked for two similar taco plates and they set them up as a double taco plates. While this was going on server waiting on me was interupted and pushed out of the way so another server could make a carry out order. Total confusion. When I got to the check stand they charged me for the double taco that I didn't order nor want. The management of this restaurant needs to be on duty more often. read more
