First time here and only second Peruvian place I've tried. I ordered the lomo saltado, side of beans and side salad. The price listed for the salad on the menu was $3.29. The lomo saltado was tasty and a good portion. It had a good mix of meat and fries. The Peruvian beans were also yummy. Probably my fave part of the meal. Skip the salad. It was small, had browned pieces of lettuce and overall not worth the money. When I went to pay the salad rang up as $4+. I pointed out the price discrepancy and Hector checked the menu. Then he told me prices are subject to change, but thankfully he took it off the bill. Hector was very pleasant as a server and cashier. I was working in the area and came by for lunch... apparently fontana is doing dine in / outside dining already? These guys aren't doing dine in yet but they have four tables outside. Everyone working had a mask on. I ordered the chuafa? de pollo (fried rice with chicken) and my favorite peruvian dish: anticuchos (beef heart). The dude who helped me was super chill. I forgot his name. He gave me a few samples of some things, I ended up getting a Chicha Morrada and a box of alfajores. Beef heart was tender. crunchy. Good seasoning but maybe a little over salted. Marinated in wine or some form of alcohol? Not a big fan of food like that but still good overall. I thought it was a little pricy... $10 for 2 skewers with 3 pieces each. eh. Fried rice was good as well. Tastes like it was... chinese food lol. Which kinda makes sense since there was a big wave of chinese immigration? so i've been told. I could taste lots of garlic? Rice is soft. A little over salted (but the green salsa is not very salty but has lots of flavor) which works perfectly if you just dump it all on. It might be spicy for some folks though. Lots of chicken. Nothing crazy special but worth a try. Get it if you're looking for a good fried rice I guess. The chicha morrada reminded me of candy for some reason. I feel like it's just like a liquified dumdum lolipop? I got the lomo saltado and tallarines verde to take home for dinner. the lomo really was good, the tallarines was alright. kind of tasted like a basil pesto pasta so not super special but definitely a solid pasta option. I guess people really do recommend the lomo saltado for a reason. I got everything else cause I wanted to try them. Because peruvian food has to be more than just a single dish. The ALFAJORES!!! sooooooo gooodddd. not too sweet, crumbly, buttery, cookies sprinkled with powdered sugar and a nice creamy dulce de leche. perfection. $1 each. 07/20/2018 I really needed help with finding somewhere to eat. Yelp showed me the way. This place is tucked away from the highway and even from the road. You can almost miss it if you are not looking for this place. Looks like a place that would be packed during lunch but we came a little after the lunch crowd. If I want to be nosey, I could peek through the glass and see the kitchen while they prepare our order. I ordered the Lomo Saltado with fried egg. It came with two eggs. It looks and smells really good. Theres a fine line between seasoned and overly salted. I think this dish lightly hits both as it seems seasoned yet overly salted. This is the best Peruvian food *in the area*. I come here whenever I don't want to drive across town to JP Latin Deli. Their food is delicious! I haven't tried a dish I haven't liked. My go to is the Lomo Soltado. Sometimes we get the Papa Rellena and the Fish Ceviche. The green sauce could be spicier, and they only provide one salsa per dish, wack. The extras are $1. As for customer service the young girl who works here is so sweet!!!! The older ladies can be somewhat stand offish, but please keep in mind that's their culture. 8/10 will keep coming and will keep paying $1 for extra salsas lol read more

I drank chicha morada, which is much better than the typical purple drink. It tasted like Jamaica and horchata had a baby. Delicious! The ceviche was amazing with thicker cut chunks of white fish compared to Mexican style ceviche. We also got arroz con pollo, papás de huancaina, and lomo saltada. They were ALL delicious! Perú is famous for lomo saltada, which tastes like an Asian stir fry version of carne asada fries. You won't be disappointed! I drive here after checking the reviews and get here an hour and a half before closing.. with sign that says "open" of course and nowhere saying dine in closes at a certain time...There's clearly an entire table full of people not served yet...the girl in front counter asks me how many for dine in, I say just me and my daughter... she says let me ask..so she asks right in front of us...to a lady sitting at the table if it's ok for us to dine in ..and the lady just looks at us ..and said "No" ..then the girl tells me "she said No". FYI Typically when an establishment "may or may not" make an exception when ur trying to support their business especially when hours say "Open" or whatever else the case may be, they usually make the exception! 1. The service is horrible. 2. The have One server and one cook- leads to no available tables due to them not being cleaned, counted easily 3-4 dirty tables. The server/host was taking phone orders, had us standing so he could clean the tables. We were also told to leave because we had a Starbucks in our hand and said we can't bring that in. So we decided to go leave the coffee in the car and returned. When we returned he still asked us, so for here or to go? Like.. did I just not go take my coffee to the car?! Also from the looks also, 3 tables had not even been served, and one customer looked upset, rolling eyes and shaking her legs due to frustration of not being served after ordering. Delicious, lomo saltado had an amazing flavor, never before have we had it this flavorful. Have gone to many other places since we went here and none have even gotten close to their flavor. Both dishes that we had were amazing. Will definitely go back again. Definitely worth the drive. The staff was very pleasant, something that is always a plus. Because no matter how good food may be. The seafood ceviche was on point here!! And the lomo saltado, holy moses. The food here was fantastic, I literally over ate just because I couldn't get enough of the taste. Stopped for dinner late Sunday about 630pm. Ordered Civiche Pescado, Jalea and Tamarrin Verde with Steak. My is Peruvian and totally approved. The ceviche was fresh and genuine to Peruvian style and taste. The Jealea was pretty tasty although my wife thought the portion was a little small compared to other places we've been. Forgot my drink. Young waitress didn't know about medium for steak. Wife ordered it medium but was told "medium what? There is no medium" we were not in the mood to educate so we chose Medium-well. Steak came well-done. We ordered chicken thigh and the waitress gave us chicken breast and said "that's how our thighs are" My wife got fed up and said "no that's breast, that's not what I ordered". The young female and male were constantly flirting and could not be separated. They could do all that, but atleast remember meals and provide some service. The owner is nice with manners, his employees are what ruining everything. Green pasta isn't what it used to be, chicken was not flavored well...which was weird. Cool hole in the wall place. I ended up with the Pollo Saltado but did sample my colleague's ceviche. The chicken was great and done with that soy based prep.
