I asked them to thin out his hair, smooth out the sides. When I picked him up, nothing was smooth or thinned out. I asked her to try again and she just made it more choppy so I asked her if she could smooth it out And it got worse. He looked like garbage. I said never mind. They charged me $145 and I left. When I got home, I noticed quarter sized scrapes behind each ear, which were raw. Clearly they had been bleeding at the shop before I picked him up. I will never take my dog there again.

Once again, all of the fish tank lights were off, just as they were during our previous visit, which already made the area feel unattended. We needed help, but no employee approached us. We eventually saw Shelby sitting on the floor restocking items on a shelf, so we politely asked if she could assist us with the feeder fish. Rather than getting up or acknowledging us professionally, she remained seated and asked how large our pond was because the feeder fish can grow quite large. We explained that the fish were for our turtle, and she smirked while continuing to sit on the floor. Her tone and attitude came across as extremely rude and dismissive, and she provided no helpful response or assistance. I was honestly in disbelief at how we were treated. I have worked in customer service myself, and I understand that employees may have tasks to complete, but there is still an expectation to acknowledge customers, communicate respectfully, and make an effort to assist them. We ultimately left without purchasing anything because the interaction was so unpleasant. I am taking the time to write this because I genuinely believe this experience deserves to be addressed by management. Customers should not feel ignored, dismissed, or uncomfortable when simply asking an employee for assistance. I hope Petco takes this feedback seriously and addresses the customer-service concerns with the employee and the overall experience in the fish department.

They always get their baths at the end and they love getting their baths at the salon and then coming home.
