Everything is always freshd especially the sandwiches of May to order they sometimes used to have soup they used also homemade pizza but I believe now they only serve that on the weekends. No matter what location I go to everyone is kind considerate friendly helpful They just really want you to have a positive experience when you leave. They also have many flavored coffees hot and cold they also have regular coffee hot and cold. They are also the only place that I know of the sells the actual Jordan marsh blueberry muffins they have many other wonderful pastries and dessert items they may customize cakes and pies. They are really the place to go for your holiday if you'd like to buy from an actual coffee place like a bakery type of thing. They also have many other things to sell. So disappointed when I walked in to the manager discussing on the floor saying " I don't know why people come here if they don't speak English and don't know how to order " And mind you my partner heard that. We get in line to order my son orders his food and asks for a specific food and she acts like she can't hear him so my partner repeated his request again and she ignored my partner. I assume maybe she's having a bad day. I go to muffin house in Medway regularly so I do in fact know how to order but I sometimes load my thoughts (Audhd) and she was trying to rush everytime I was thinking before speaking ( no line, usually it's super busy and none of the girls usually act like her but she seemed irritated) and then she started explaining things to me like I was slow but like I said I have been there a ton of time and I deff know how to order bc every time I was going to say something she ended up cutting me off. We get to the register and again starts to explain me to me how to use the register and I say okay thank you and then Explains again and again irritated and condescending like rushing me and acting like I'm stupid while I'm getting my Apple Pay and deciding on the screen what I'm going to tip because I've never had an experience like that so I tell her mam I'm filling out the screen for the tip and getting my Apple Pay thank you. And I don't typically have to think about it! So I finish and I'm so upset I tell my partner he tells me what she said before we're trying to order and I know she wasn't talking about me but as a woman of color to hear that ignorance on the floor! Unacceptable Unethical and gross. The treatment as well gross!! I've worked in coffee for 10 years never thought a a manger Found out she was the MANAGERRR!!!!! Spoke to the other manager she explained the "context " of the inappropriate conversation on the floor because of a doordasher who was working and didn't speak English and grabbed the wrong order by mistake ( which happens to English speaking people as well) but that does not change how rude gross and unethical that was! I've dealt with micro aggression and racism my whole life. I try not to go to a place of needing to feel like I have to protect myself but honestly thank you muffin house for showing what yall represent. read more

Went there for the first time. Staff was very friendly and service was excellent. We ordered veggie panini and white mocha latte with oat milk. Panini was very fresh and tasty. I have been driving by this cafe for months, as I did not realize there were so many Muffin House Cafes in the area. I have been to the one in Mendon. I love that you can order ahead online. Their muffins are DELICIOUS! It is a great morning treat. I've tried the cappuccino muffin several times and it was so good. In the last two weeks I had to try different things on their menu. I have had several of their breakfast options. Their avocado toast was ok, but the toast was not really toasted so it was a little mushy (I got it on a roll). I did like that my overeasy egg was actually overeasy! I ordered their breakfast wrap with scrambled egg, and was sorely disappointed as I crunched into egg shells-hence minus one star. I thought it was just one bite, but as I tried the other half, the egg shell crunch was just diffusely in the wrap. Their chicken salad sandwich was delicious with fresh chicken breast. If you come here, the best things are their muffins/ pastries and coffee! I also did find it concerning that all the workers were unmasked. In fact, most of the people when I went into the shop were unmasked. I would feel more comfortable as a customer if everyone who worked at a restaurant/ cafe serving me were masked, and for that reason I did remove a star. I'd rate Medway's Muffin house a 4.5 if I could. Superb selection of muffins; always fresh and delicious. These are not fluffy light muffins but a bit dense and absolutely the moistest muffins I've ever had. My grandson and daughter LOVE the blueberry. My husband and I have tried the corn, apple crumb and cranberry orange as well. All were excellent. There's always a line but moves quickly and efficiently. Coffee is Red Barn which is a thing around Medway Hopkinton and was also great. I' d be a regular if I lived in that area! read more

We drive pretty far out of the way to go to the MH. We have been to both the Mendon and Medway locations. I must say, Medway is the place to go. Mendon seems to run out of a lot of their items, and once they are out of stock, they not usually replenished. Medway seems to be the opposite. The staff continuously fill their display cases. Both locations are extremely busy. The Muffins are the best I've every had. Expensive, but worth it. read more

Mm... muffins!!! Before I go further I should say that I am typically not a fan of muffins... then again, the muffins at this place are good enough to turn something like that around. For real though... the muffins you get at the local supermarket gym nothing on the ones here. Also, big shoutout to the Phantom Gourmet Food Festival for having these here and showing me that driving over an hour for food can be worth it. Aye, definitely worth it. Location opens very early, which says to me that they are baking before the crack of dawn, even on weekends in the summer. Had the opportunity to try salted caramel, pistachio, cranberry-orange, and cappuccino. While all of them were winners with soft, gently sweet, flavorful dough, blueberry, and cappuccino tie for best, salted caramel is a close second. When it comes to those that contain fruit or berries, they are quite generous with the amount of berry to dough... without overwhelming the whole muffin. Muffin caps (tops?) are also to die for! Be sure you try to get both the cap and the bottom when you eat them so that the textures balance. Coffee here is good, it's not amazing stuff, but isn't by any measure bad or mediocre. Croissant, while soft and flavorful was lacking that amazing flakiness I expect with croissants. If you're okay with, or like the lack of flakiness, then consider getting one, otherwise might not be for you. Location is larger than I expected, and is superbly clean. Service is nice and fast. Despite the distance, will definitely return. Deserves the 5 stars because it is quite literally "as good as it gets" read more

The counter is very long so there are people standing around everywhere and you have no idea if it's your turn or if someone is waiting to be served. The girls behind the counter do not wear name tags and disappear too fast. I told her what I wanted to drink and before I could give the rest of my order she disappeared. Meanwhile another girl asked if we were all set and we told her what else we wanted but this screwed things up because the first drink we ordered was missing. Stopping by the Muffin House is one of the best parts about visiting home. The line out the door is no-joke, but the wait is well worth it. The muffins are fresh and delicious. My favorites are the sweet and sour, classic blueberry, and chocolate chip. I've also tried some of their other baked goods including pies at Thanksgiving - the apple and blueberry pies are family favorites and always a hit at the dinner table. I'm primarily an iced coffee drinker, and have enjoyed their wide selection of roasts. I recommend you stop in if you're driving by on 109, or check out the other locations in Mendon, Hopkinton, and Natick if those are more convenient. read more

Just stopped by here because I've been wanting a muffin and to try their coffee. I drove about twenty minutes to get here when I probably just should have went to dunkin across the street. There were multiple girls working the counter, so this made the line move fairly quick. However, I think they should have a rope or something to form an actual line. The people in front of me were standing in front of the muffins telling the girls their orders, so I couldn't get to look at the muffins. The girl who took my order just looked at me for like thirty seconds and then proceeded to ask if I was all set. I told her I was just trying to look at the muffins and she replies with oh okay. Doesn't tell the other customers to move out of the way or anything. So I just told her my coffee order while I tried to look around the people to see which muffin I wanted. None of the girls looked like they even wanted to be there. The girl who took my order was just really unpleasant and seemed a bit rude. After everything, it was always "will that be it?" If you work in customer service, I think you should be decent and at least wear a smile. That's how I treat everyone who comes into my store. The muffins are okay. They just taste like regular muffins. Nothing too spectacular. The coffee is also pretty par too. I gave them the extra star for the amount of different flavors they had for muffins and coffee. Sorry, maybe because we visited at 4:00 but all of our coffees were horrible - burnt tasting. My coconut milk made curdles floating in my coffee cup. "This is normal for coconut milk" was their reply when I asked for another milk choice. . The staff didn't seem very cordial either and started vacuuming while we were seated. Not a good experience at all. We left after spilling out our cups of coffee on our way out. Thank you for your response. I appreciate it. We live out of state so we won't be returning. I'm sorry to have given you one star because obviously you care. I just hope the young ladies that work there would pick up on your work ethic and consideration. This was my first trip to the muffin house and at the end of our visit, we were talking about coming back next every week on Sunday morning! Before going in The Muffin House, my plane was just to order a breakfast sandwich (which was recommended to me from several people) but when I went in and looked at the display case of muffins and sweets, I couldn't just get a breakfast sandwich! I ended up getting a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, chocolate chip banana muffin, and ice tea; everything was amazing! Picking a muffin was a hard choice since there were so many delicious options. The last and only review I have ever left was over 5 years ago so you could say I don't do this kind of thing but I felt compelled. I'm writing this for selfish reasons. I want this place do do really well because I want to eat those muffins for the rest of my life. I just ate two because I couldn't help myself. I'm sure everyone raves about the blueberry muffins but I want to share my favorites which are the coffee cake muffin and the apple cinnamon muffin. If I was told that I could eat one more thing and then I was to die, my choice would be the muffins at the Muffin House Cafe. Wow!! It's kind of Baskin Robbins 31 Flavors but for coffee! This place is a coffee lovers dream! Every flavor of coffee you can imagine AND they brew the coffee with the flavor so there is no sugary syrups pumped in. It's just amazing! I had the cookie dough iced coffee which was delicious while my BFF ordered the snicker doodle flavor- also very scrumptious! There was chocolate mint, pecan, pumpkin, hazelnut, vanilla, I can't remember the gazillion others! Ha ha This place isn't called the Muffin House for nothing. HUGE muffins are lined up in a pasty case, again of every imaginable flavor. I had the lemon poppy seed which I enjoyed. My BFF got one of the breakfast sandwiches which is made of a bagel, bacon, cheese, egg and sausage. The product is amazing and so is the service. They are well staffed and help you in a timely matter. All of the employees were smiling and helpful.
