Okay, I've read some of the other reviews here. Let's discuss expectations. This is not brunch at the Copley Plaza. This a small town, shoebox-size, Mom & Pop in a mini strip-mall. It's an earnest, quiet, comforting spot for some "home-cooked" food and conviviality. You bet it's got its share of cracks 'n crevices, dusty corners, stains, loose fittings, sticky condiment dispensers. It's not about that. It's about getting in the mix people, seeing the lovely, beloved, charming waitresses, drinking delicious coffee from proper thick, diner mugs, perusing local ads on the plastic-coated placemats. Come on, get in the groove friends! I've enjoyed eggs, toast, home fries, and omelettes here. I recommend their fluffy, generous pancakes, but keep your shirt on--you're not getting real maple syrup. Embrace the scene folks. Yes, everyone knows their prices are unbelievable, and frankly, I don't know how they do it. Let me tell you this, today, for the first time, I used the restroom. It's in the back--through the kitchen! I passed a cast iron tray of crusty, golden corn muffins and a deep, brimming, bread pan of equally golden, blessedly crusty and lumpy cornbread. The cook and assistant were at the oven and grill. Listen, I've cooked in some very good professionals kitchens, and what I saw pleased me. You are getting real food. Located on Main St in a strip plaza shared with Domino's Pizza Tingleys reminds me of an old school diner with prices to reflect. I was solo so I sat at the breakfast counter approx 6 seats - the dining area had 4 booths and 4 rounds tables Every seat was full -short wait line Couple of servers refreshed my coffee - thank you !! I ordered the meat lovers omelette ( ham,sausage,bacon,corned beef hash, diced onion and peppers and American cheese ) that's a lot.. $9.70. -Price breaker breakfast place right here Was my omelette good looking Maybe not - but I was fine with the presentation-, because I ate most of the omelette and besides I would only be breaking the omelette apart with my fork anyways Hey this was a heavy omelette Don't let that hold you back from visiting Tingleys .. This is such a great little breakfast place with amazing prices. Food is always delicious, they even use fresh spinach and mushrooms. Awesome hollandaise sauce too! Fast, efficient service. We both had corned beef hash, poached eggs, home fries, and coffee and the total was less than $18! The food is plentiful as well! It is cash only, but there's an atm. read more

We have always come here on weekends and ordered take out . Yes I know that you get what you pay for and that we're not eating it there and it'd be a different experience, I'm sure but Sundays we like to enjoy our morning coffee and talk. We ordered our breakfast and when took it home we noticed that the bacon is now being broken into smaller pieces, nice mind trick so it appears like you've actually got more. My Belgian Waffle looked like a flat tire ! Holy cow! I haven't had one in a while but I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be nice and fluffy , and my side of scrambled eggs had a shell in it . I think we're done with Tingleys for a while. So sad . I know businesses are struggling but come on , would they want to be treated the same if they go out to eat ??? It was cheap! Service was great and food was good breakfast fare. Main detractor for me was that it was hot and the front door was propped open. The decor was very lacking. Like no one cared about the walls, what was hanging on the walls, and the seating was old. I can overlook much of that when the price is right for what I am eating. My son enjoyed the pancakes and I had a scrambled egg and toast combo. Easy day. No frills local yocale place and affordable prices. If in the town again and looking for a greasy breakfast, I will be there. If you are looking for the Ritz Carlton, this isnt it. read more

The utensils were dirty, the plates were dirty. The eggs were undercooked and the plate was not set properly. The toast looked like they played a game of catch and it accidentally flopped on my plate. not a fan. "toast guy" was new???? ridiculous. read more

Let's list the issues. Long wait to get menus and coffee. Uncomfortable as staff was annoyed with another customer. Coffee was not hot nor good. Ketchup was empty, no salt and pepper were on the table we borrowed from a neighboring table. French toast was not cooked through. Omelette did not resemble an omelette just a blob of eggs with cheese and it had a taste like Teflon was in the eggs, if not, I am not sure what the metal taste was. Fruit cup ordered, never received (but was not charged for it either). Restaurant needs some updating and cleaning. Not going back. read more

We were in town visiting family and saw this place had good reviews. Maybe it was just an off day, but the service here was terrible. It took nearly an hour and a half for us to get all our meals. I'm fairly certain the waffles had been reheated. The bacon was burnt so bad it was completely black. Eggs were just 'meh'. The servers seemed confused and disorganized. The floor was covered in trash, I'm afraid to even wonder what the kitchen looked like. read more

Best breakfast place in medway in my opinion, the service is great, it never takes longer than 10-15 minutes for them to get you your food. It has pretty good decorations but who cares, your going here to eat anyways so it doesn't matter. Anyways its a great place to have breakfast and start off your day. read more

My family and I travel a half an hour every Sunday morning to Medway for my 1.5 year old sons gymnastics class. On our way out we have been stopping at Tingley's for breakfast. What a treat. Even though it's small we have never waited for seating, which is surprising (maybe we beat the church crowd lol) me and my husband both get omelets which are amazing. They use real eggs. Not like the egg beaters that most places use. It's like if I cooked a homemade breakfast. I'm usually able to feed my 6 month old in the time it takes for food to come out, which is very short. My 1.5 year old has a big appetite and always gets enough from their kids menu. The staff is great and even one waitress came over twice to tell me how adorable my children were. I mean I'm biased but she's not wrong lol. We will keep coming back! read more

I was excited to find a local place close to home. We've visited three times. The first time was okay. Reasonably priced food and quick, courteous, service. The second time, the food was good, but there was lipstick on my coffee mug. The server switched it out quickly. I understand mistakes hspp, but seeing such things makes me wonder what other details the place is missing. The most unnerving part of our second visit was the customer at the counter who turned and stared at us for several seconds when we walked in. Many locals are regulars, and I know it's New England where people are often reserved and suspicious of outsiders, but still. On our third (and probably last) visit, nobody stared at us, but the homefries were disgusting. Either the oil was not hot enough, or it was old. We didn't taste potato, only oil. Yuck. read more

Overall, a great breakfast, for a cheap price. I had an omelette with bacon and cheese, which was excellent. Bacon was crispy which was a win for me. Home fries were great. Service was friendly and the speed was efficient. Coffee was a solid mediocre, and the atmosphere left much to be desired, which is why I detract one star. Replacing the fluorescent lights with someone more homey would take this place up by leaps and bounds! But I walked out of there for under $8, wicked bahgain. read more

We stumbled upon Tingley's about a year ago and are now weekly customers. Food is delicious, portions are generous, service is great! There is an ATM located inside as they don't take credit cards. It took me awhile to try it, but as a reliable and very affordable little diner, it does the trick. Basic, quite good piping hot food. Welcoming, nice people. Newspapers to share. In other words, it's Old School, which I like a lot! I moved here from Boston, and don't really find much at local restaurants that we can't cook better at home. Nevertheless, I am always a big fan of breakfast diners, and it's great to have a nice little place to have a good hot breakfast and read the paper, especially in a local working environment. The head waitress - the owner's daughter, and an amazing mom - is awesome, and as hardworking as anyone you will find anywhere. Friendly, caring and efficient. Nearly every day of the calendar year. I admire her. To me, she IS Tingley's. Parking is easy, wait times on tables Ok even on super busy days. I moved to medway a year ago but just recently i found this place. Its all you expect from an american Breakfast plus lunch. So im jsut gonna say a few thinks that i find a plus here: The place is really small and cozy making the service fast and efficient. The breakfast portions here are a little generous and the price is about 20% less than any other place ive tried. Its a place for me and my family and we go at least once a week. Tingleys - formerly Junes Place - is AMAZING. I literally go here every single weekend either for a sit down breakfast or for a quick bacon egg and cheese on a raisin bagel grilled to go. Love the food and love the people - can't go wrong with the affordability, either! Warning: this place is very popular in the mornings so if you want to get in there, go earlier, you may have to wait a little bit for a table but it's worth it. also, Cash Only. read more

Nice little diner open for breakfast and lunch. I had the "New England Breakfast"; two eggs, home fries, baked beans and corn bread. Sounded good and it was! Corn bread was a nice touch and obviously made in house. Menu and specials all looked good, definitely a place I will return to. Service was friendly and prompt. read more
