The outside of the canelé had a thick, crunchy crust and contrasted nicely with the fluffy, spongy, light texture inside. The caramelized, browned bottom provided a slightly bitter note to contrast the sweetness. With a cup of coffee, this is honestly one of my favorite breakfasts. I would 100% stop by again just to pick up a canelé.
