Where do I even begin here? One of the best meals we've had in years--and honestly, such a pleasant surprise in Ocean City. The ambiance at The Hideaway was incredible, and the service was top notch from start to finish. But the food was the real star. Every dish was beautifully executed, flavorful, and incredibly well balanced. We started with the drunken clams appetizer which came with some grilled bread. The combination of chorizo, white wine, lemon, and garlic made a delicious broth for dipping. My husband ordered the seafood risotto, and it was outstanding. The texture and consistency were perfect, and it was loaded with shrimp, scallops, and lump crab meat. It looked like it was going to be rich, but somehow it wasn't at all. The flavors were beautifully balanced and the dish never felt heavy. I had the lamb chops, which were cooked beautifully and had such a great balance of savory flavor with the freshness of mint. Really delicious. One of my sons had the steak frites and could not stop talking about the chimichurri. He loved it--and honestly, I had to agree, that sauce was fantastic. My youngest son had the lemon shrimp and absolutely loved it. We were all genuinely impressed with our meals, which doesn't always happen when you're dining with a family of four! My husband and I went for the first time for our anniversary. The setting is amazing. We sat on the sand and could hear the water lapping. After the sun is down, you could be on any beach. It felt like we were in the Caribbean. We had a few glitches but between our server Angelina and the manager (I wish I could remember his name), they made what could have been a disappointing night, a very good night. My husband and I went here for our one year anniversary and it was amazing!! The ambience was so romantic with the sunset and palm trees, and the food was all delicious! Well what a very nice restaurant. Get dressed, plan a date, and dine in with some amazing views of the ocean and exclusive seating. Going to give David B and Scott Jones some flowers for the wonderful execution of their positions. David has the experience and knowledge to run any restaurant with an intuitive understanding of the customers. I suspect David has the skill set comparable to a Swiss utility knife. Scott Jones is for sure a closer and demonstrates good leadership and trust in his team while ensuring the right people are in place. Scott is definitely well travel and understands the value of engaging in conversation with his customers. The pairing of these two gentlemen was spot on and will serve the new restaurant very well. Kudos to one of the chefs who stopped by the table to engage in conversation and the see how things were going. The food and ambiance were indeed luxurious. It wasn't presented in a layered course meal or offered wine pairing but the quality and playing were exceptional. The braised pork belly was tender , savory, and well seasoned. Smart to have the baguette on the side to capture the Au jus from the dish . The lemon prawns were so fresh, juicy, and paired well with the lemon sauce. Lastly, the star of the show red snapper . Deep fried to perfection and seasoned to the threshold limit of saltiness. The potatoes and mango salsa complimented the dish. The chef did their thing with this. We had a reservation for dinner but arrived early. They quickly seated us. The ambiance was beautiful. Great lighting, beautiful flowers all around and clean white table cloths. Our waiter was on top of it and came right to the table. He checked on us many times. Our food arrived and it was delicious. I ordered a watermelon crush and it was very tasty. We had the cream of crab soup which was very luscious with lots of crab meat on top. For dinner we had the filet and pork chops. Both were very good. The owner even came by our table to chat with us. The setting is great--gorgeous views of the bay. The food is good, but overpriced. The risotto was good, but a little clumpy, not creamy. And the seafood on top of it was bland. The chicken fettuccine was quite delicious, and appropriately priced for the presentation and the taste. The mocktails were excellent- best part of the meal. The bread is also overpriced for what it is. The rum cake dessert was the worst part of the meal. Overly soaked in the sauce--couldn't taste the cake. A hidden gem--we visited during their soft opening and weren't disappointed. I love the decor--the serene/calming colors make it stylish (didn't feel like I was in OCMD). You can sit inside with a nice view of the water or outside (if you like an open feel). We ordered the Caesar Salad, Orange Crush, Crab Cake (no fillers/family recipe), Old Bay Fries, and their Housemade Bread. All was absolutely delicious and flavorful. Service was on point, and he was very attentive. The owners and chef came to check on how things were going--loved that. The floor manager was very nice and personable. The couple beside us had the fried snapper, and we overheard how good it was. We will definitely order it on our next visit. It's fine dining... Hours are 4 - 11pm. Three of us visited the Hideaway at Seacrets last night 7/4. Here's my review: Looked on the Resy app and didn't see any reservations available for the night so we added to the waitlist via the Resy app. Waitlist said 15 minutes. We got there at 7pm and just few people sitting at the bar however they said they don't do a waitlist so the app must of been an error? They couldn't sit us at a table bc all were "booked". so we sat at the bar- the views of the bay at sunset were incredible. The wait staff seemed unorganized, they couldn't remember who placed our order and if we had ordered drinks. We got the bread, Caesar salad, crab soup (Disappointing bc hardly had crab), seafood risotto $52, chicken molodino $26, and crab cakes $46. The food was just average- I wish it was a little bit better bc the view and ambiance was great. Prices are high for the quality. By the time we left at 830, there were still majority tables unoccupied so makes no sense why we couldn't have a table. There's better places to go in OCMD, likely wouldn't go back to the Hideaway. read more

Got there for our reservation & was seated right away which was the only positive experience. We ordered our drinks & our server was trying to persuade me to order a cocktail even after I said I do not drink & was driving my party home. Our appetizers were good, and came out quickly. Our entrees were completely messed up. I ordered steak frites medium rare & it came out completely well done & wasn't even cut up like steak frites usually are! My friends ordered the risotto & it was missing scallops & no one noticed until they mentioned it the server. Luckily management was very nice, gave my friends the scallops & gave me the steak frites for free. The only super positive experience about this place was the view & the manager letting us into Seacrets for free. read more

We basically got fussed at by what they call a security guard for having my 15 year-old wt us for dinner at 5:30. He was very hatefully as he told us the Rules . We are business owners and doctors and we did not need to be spoken to like that. I wanted to just walk away at that point but we had a party of six adults . It's not like we're going to the bar or something we went to a place with Palm trees that we thought everyone would enjoy... we got seated we ordered a beer. We thought it would be a pint. It was maybe 12 ounces a cheap plastic cup. We had to ask for enough waters for everybody twice they brought our food to us with no folks spoons knives or napkins . I got up twice looking for a waiter .. we finished our meal with sticky fingers and no napkins before we got napkins. The waiter could not have cared less. we complained but basically got a I'm sorry. No manager in sight I have honestly been treated better at McDonald's. .. It was an awful beginning to our vacation. My wife, sister, and I ate here on August 21, 2025. From reading the menu and reviewing their website, we anticipated that we were going to enjoy excellent food with a fine dining experience on the bay. That was not the case. I had the crab cake meal. The crab cakes were small and lacked flavour. The garlic mash potatoes were awful. The mash potatoes tasted like it absorbed its flavour from being stored in cheap Tupperware too long. I never had mashed potatoes that bad. I also had the rum cake, which was not good. If you're looking for Caribbean style rum cake, what this restaurant offers is not that. The cake was dry and was thrown off with the addition of blueberries on top. Separately, before we received our meal, we were asked if we wanted bread for the table and said yes. We all agreed the bread was good but I later found out (when i received the bill) that it was not complimentary. They charged $7 for bread that is typically complimentary at a restaurant. As to my wife and sister, they had the seafood risotto and they thought that was okay. They also ordered margaritas with their meal which were not good. 8/18/25 We had a great time our server was fantastic. However the manager Lou needs a refresher on managerial skills. We were told by the staff we could use the floating cabanas for drinks after our meal. We gladly finished our meal and continued with our drinks to occupy one of the 4 floating cabanas. Apparently this was incorrect. You need a reservation and $200 for 3 hours which is fine. That would not have been an issue. However, "Lou" could have been more professional. He sent one of the new staff to inform us that we had to leave. No explanation. Ok no problem but we had no idea what was going on and why we're being singled out while all the other floating cabanas were being used as well. Not only did he not approach us to explain what was going on. He was on the beach flailing his arms around motioning for us to leave. We actually thought we got kicked out of Secrets altogether. We had no idea what we did wrong nor did the other patrons around us. To our embarrassment and humiliation everyone was asking why we were being kicked out. All we could say was we have no idea what's going or what we did wrong. Needless to say... not a very good ending to fantastic meal. I did approach Lou and asked what happened and he explained that it because of the reservation fee. Why couldn't he have just approached us or have the situation explained. He did apologize after we explained the embarrassment caused to us and offered to buy us a drink but that was not our intention. We respectfully declined. As we were leaving the premises we noticed that all the cabanas were now empty. Hopefully they were handled a little better than we were. Definitely disappointed, I thought this was an establishment we could frequent while on vacation. SMH. read more

Seacrets Hideaway - The Infamous Floating Cabanas - Salad Near Me - Ocean City, Maryland

The concept is great, but the execution fell short. This restaurant shares the same liquor license as Seacrets Bar, which means anyone over? (Staff was very ambiguous) 21 must have ID to enter. My fiancé, who doesn't even drink, didn't have his ID. We were pulled aside and treated as though we were minors attempting to enter a club, despite being in our 30s and having our 2-year-old with us. It's unclear why minors are allowed in but adults without ID are not. The manager eventually allowed us to be seated, but another member of our party had also forgotten their ID and had to return to get it, further delaying our reservation. Shortly after being seated, we were informed that our table had a two-hour limit due to another reservation. With the delay, the remainder of our group would have had only about 30 minutes to dine. We chose to leave after appetizers. The blueberry margarita was excellent, but appetizers were overpriced. Unfortunately, the overall experience would prevent us from returning. Just visited and won't go back. Overall, the food was good but not worth the steep price tag. There are other places in OC (Fager's - fine dining, The Hobbit, and Spain Winebar) that offer great food, great views, good service and are less pricey. Also, this is not a family place. Meaning, if you are under 21 you cannot dine here. When you approach the doors of the restaurant you are asked for IDs. If you are not over 21, you are not allowed entry. I see they advertise for weddings and other events beside dining, not sure how this would work if they have under age guests. The Seacrets ownership should be less secretive and make this very clear on their website and news promos. read more

Food was ok not great. I had the Red Snapper found it to be a little dry, my wife had a steak it was ok, we had the pork belly for an appetizer it was really good. Service was very good. It was a nice place on the water a nice place for a quiet dinner with a nice view of the bay. If you want a nice romantic dinner it's a place to go. Rachel the server was outstanding . Wine/beverage/food menu solid. The execution of the food menu was mediocre, 7 bucks for 4 rolls ( total miss). Red snapper was good. Crab cakes were good But as others have noted asparagus was way overcooked and the mashed potatoes were a total miss. Train came off the track when the filet had to be re-fired due to being served rare/raw and was swimming in sauce, ruining the 100 layer potato. The owner did check on all the tables, but unfortunately didn't affect the total miss on the food execution. Will we be back ? absolutely. That being said they need to square away the food, or it will just be a place we go for the views and drinks and spend our money on food elsewhere. (Spain, fagers, hobbit) read more

We celebrated my parent's 60th wedding anniversary at Secrets Hideaway in Ocean City MD. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by Rebecca who was lovely and welcomed us warmly even though we were a bit late due to traffic getting into OC. She led us to the table and the setting couldn't have been more beautiful. This is an open air restaurant with tables on the beach as well as inside a lovely lofted structure. We enjoyed the snapper (recommended by the owner) the seafood risotto, the chicken and pasta and the crab cakes. We ordered a few unique cocktails as well as bottles of wine. We had the clams and baba ganoush as appetizers. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The owner and his staff were very attentive and accommodating. They made us feel very welcome. After dinner we walked down to the lounge chairs on the bay. It was really a beautiful evening and I highly recommend a visit. We will certainly be back. I spend my summers in ocean city and eat out at least 3 - 4 times a week. i know the restaurant scene really well - this was our first time going to seacrets fine dining and sadly I'm not sure we would go back. The food wasn't bad per se' it just wasn't worth the prices they charge. my son got a Caesar salad and asked for a crab cake on the side - it was very small , looked like 3 ozs if that and it was 35.00 and it was just OK so that is definitely overpriced ! I got the crab cake dinner and it was supposed to come with asparagus and it came with green beans which I don't like ! The crab cakes were very small and ok tasting again just not worth the price. Whoever does the plating needs some work - it was kind of sloppy looking. We also had the chicken dish which was not described correctly- it sounded like it would be a light lemon sauce but it was more like an Alfredo sauce which we don't care for. The fried green tomatoes were good but there was barely any crab meat on top and way too much pimento cheese which was a little strange - it was fluffy , can't explain it ! So the main issue is their prices vs what you get - the drinks were all 17.00 each which I think is on the high side and I do not call this a fine dining place. Our server Tonya was great and she was very busy but attentive - another issue was timing - we got our appetizers and a minute later our dinners came out. Overall it wasn't the best experience and there are so many very good other restaurants that are better and reasonably priced. I've always thought Seacrets was a rip off money wise in the first place ... stop charging such high cover charges and get less palm trees and give your customers a break ! Arrived early for our reservation so sat at bar ordered a pain killer, bar tender said she didn't know what that was or how to make it but could look it up, I said no I'll just get wine , got the only Sauvignon blanc from New Zealand that was sold by the glass and it tasted cheap, then sat at our table for dinner, ordered a cosmo , it was awful, sent it back and got another glass of wine, charged us for the bread, it's on the menu as an appetizer, got the caprese salad it was awful, had the crab cake dinner , crab cakes were really small, asparagus over cooked and mashed potatoes were like they were left over, two of us at the table ordered dessert but they came back and said they were out and so they ordered chocolate torte and it was so small and not good. All in all we were very disappointed with everything, this is not a high end dining experience, there was a language barrier with the waiter, the timing was off with food etc. the drinks were awful and the food was awful for the price. I have grown up coming to the beach and eating out at every restaurant there is down here , we come very often to the beach and like to go out to dinner. We also had a mouse run across the ground during our dinner , we were seated out on the sand. This restaurant is offered as an upscale experience. The bars and view are exceptional; however, there is nothing upscale about the dining experience. The atmosphere misses the mark with a rushed dining experience, no music, inconsistent dishes, and charges for bread! Wine prices are reasonable, but the amount is far less than other upscale restaurants in the area. The food delivered is inconsistent. Two identical filets were cooked perfectly but notably different in size from each other and the baked oyster appetizer had 2 good-sized oysters and 3 that were very small and 1/3 of the size of the other 2 on the plate. The $48 single crab cake dinner offered a second for $35! $83 for a double crab cake dinner is outrageous! I assumed it would be the same size/price if added to a salad and we were charged $35 for a crab cake that literally was less than 3 tablespoons of baked crab mixture on the side of the salad on the plate and not in a cake shape either.
