Really great place to get some Japanese food. I was skeptical at first but this place hit the spot. Beautiful decor and very open. Parking was a bit of a pain but we managed to find a spot. The gyudon was on point. It wasn't saturated in mayo or teriyaki sauce, and the flavor were really good. Both ramen were delicious too. I ordered spicy and it wasn't overly spicy. Perfect. My wife really like the takoyaki. I rushed to get a pic before she ate the last one. The cashier was very welcoming and helpful. Overall I highly recommend coming here. Well worth coming here. Recommendations: -Thicker blinds on the southern side of the place. The sun was unforgiving when we came in haha. -Spicy mayo for the chicken kirage would make the dish pop. -Shichimi Togarashi pepper for the tables. Wow! Great service and place looks spotless. Get the first Ramen at the top of the menu with the pork belly. We also ordered the salad with so many creative choices for the toppings. I wish zero stars was an option. I placed an online order and when I got there to pick it up, there was not a soul in the restaurant. Nobody working the cash register, nobody in the back, nobody when I rang the bell. After waiting for almost 5 minutes and still not seeing an employee, I noticed my bowl behind the counter with the receipt by it and went ahead and grabbed it since I had paid for it. The first thing I noticed were the avocados were brown. I tried them, hoping they had just been exposed to air and were still okay. But I spit out the first bite because it was definitely spoiled. If you're going to upcharge for avocado, an avocado that's edible would be appreciated. After scooping the avocado out of my bowl I decided to try a bite of fish and spit that out as well. It was chewy and not even close to being fresh. After having the same experience with a couple of other bites of fish I gave up, and just ate the rice and edamame. I was really hoping to find a good poke place in Parker, but Mugi disappointed on all levels. If the owners read this or care, I'll take a refund for the spoiled food bowl I paid $20 for. read more

I gave Mugi another chance today after not eating there for a pretty long time, and I'm so glad I did. The poke bowl was wonderful - everything fresh and tasty - and the restaurant itself was noticeably cleaner. I met the new owner, Julia, who owns another Mugi in Colorado Springs. She said the previous owners of the Parker store were pretty much phoning it in, and my own personal experience last time I ate there many months ago was that the poke ingredients didn't seem very fresh, and the whole place seemed dirty. The employees seemed more interested in everything except customer service and keeping the place clean. Julia has clearly made a commitment to bring Mugi Parker back to its former greatness, and she is doing just that. After today's fantastic experience, I will be a regular customer again. Quality poke! The tuna wasn't too chewy, which I really appreciated. I ordered online ahead of time to-go, and wow they really give you what you pay for. There really wasn't much room at at for another grain of rice. I will say, I asked for a side of sriracha but when I got home I realized it wasn't in there :( so double check to make sure you have everything! Surprisingly good. For a take out type of restaurant I liked how casual it was but also how decent the food was. I surely cures that craving you get when you want a crunchy deep fried piece of mashed potato (croquette)- one of my favorite foods and a must try here. I'm a bit of a ramen snob, but once again- it's great for that ramen fix on a fall day and fixes that craving. Not sure if their noodles are made in house, but if I had to guess, I'd say no- Still, it was delicious. The great thing is it seems like less salt in there broth than most places I frequent. They also sell Aloha Maid juice (yes, that Hawaiian juice in a can). It makes sense as they also serve poke bowls (to be ordered during my next visit). If you haven't tried any of these canned nectars- do yourself a favor. Don't forget to shake it up before opening. All in all- yes, I would eat here again. The squid appetizer was nearly inedible - way overcooked. The costs are insane. Nearly $100 for two people and a kid, with one soda and a small sake. The cheapest sake they have, a small jar that's about $4.50 at the store, is $12 here. That's quite the markup. This is supposed to be a fast casual, but the food takes much longer to come out than you would think. I thought this could be a great alternative to Fuzzy's Tacos next door, but I'm going to pass on coming back here. read more
