The city (or should I call it a town instead) Castle Pines (when it comes to good restaurants) has limited selection. It's either you go a little north to get to Lone Tree or a little south to get to Castle Rock to find something truly good or even decent. But the past Saturday I got lucky in the very city with something I truly love: Japanese food. After finishing up a job assignment in the very shopping center, if I was going to get food then it had to be something close by preferably a place that was walkable. I then found this place in my quick search. What a simple name! I wasted no time to go and check it out. Inside is clean and simple. Nothing fancy or special about the interior snd yet it's got some Asian touches throughout. My visit to it was met with an amazing service by a young man upfront who was friendly, professional and personable. Didn't get his name but hopefully the accolades I am showering him with by writing this review get noticed by the manager or the owner and that they will go to him personally. After browsing the menu for a good few minutes I set my eyes on the tempura tofu and the seaweed salad. Once my order was placed with him he said it would be 10-15 minutes. The time of arrival was 15 minutes before 6pm. There was only a few tables occupied by diners. The restaurant didn't appear to be busy with online or call-in orders. As such, my food (as he promised) was ready in a timely fashion. I definitely needed to eat my food in the car; I was super famished. And here is my honest and frank assessment for the two items: -Tempura tofu: great portion size for the price of $17 as of this writing in late July of 2026. The tempura tofu pieces were huge. The heat from the oil cooking was still felt as i bit into the tofu. This is a three-layered dish with tempura tofu on top, stir fried vegetables in the second layer and white rice at the bottom. The denseness of the dish is simply thick. -Seasoned salad: this was also a good portion size. The seaweed was placed on top of the greens that were fresh. This can easily be split between two people. After everything I had experienced with this business, I can comfortably say that I could see myself using this restaurant again whenever I see fit although it's, at the same time, not a place where I would drive 20+ minutes just to eat here unless I have other reason to be in the neighborhood. read more

Sometimes this is a great experience, sometimes the service is short, perfunctory and inaccurate with the orders. The strip mall atmosphere is fine, nothing to wow, but it works. Very clean! We got the castle pine rolls and salmon lover and the salmon avocado. The total was about 50 dollars. We did togo and ate it at a nearby park which was great. We walked in to place the order which was very fast, about 10-15 minutes. Online it said it would take about 25 so just fyi. The process was very easy and quick. The guy who took our order was VERY tall but also very very nice. Sushi was solid, salmon avocado was basic but solid, the castle pine roll was our favorite. My son and I went for lunch based on the good reviews and the food did not disappoint- I was very pleasantly surprised by how good it was - we ordered sushi as well as bowls - the steak in the bowl I ordered was awesome - the best I e ever had in a bowl. the food is out of this world. the flavors were bursting in my mouth and gave me a whole new experience with sushi i didn't know was possible! Ok second review, very glad I came back! I'm writing this on 8/6 at noon as I came in for lunch. I had been reading some forums about keeping castle pines restaurants going by supporting as much as possible. Ordered miso soup, two small rolls and a rainbow roll. The value has improved considerably here and the service was absolutely impeccable. Didn't catch the server's name but she was absolutely on point. Atmosphere, ambiance, etc were very inviting and this place has won me over. Nice work! read more

My cousin the owner of Ziggi's next door recommended this place as a fave sushi spot. We went for dinner last night and it was amazing! Parking was easy at that time but I'm sure if it's just you can easily park in the bigger lot right there next to the little section. We had the lemon roll and the castle pines roll. Absolutely delicious and very unique. I've never had anything like the lemon roll! We ordered the crunch Korean chicken which was also fantastic! I was pleasantly impressed and would definitely go back. We also ordered two desserts. They were out of one we had ordered so they made us something special that was off menu and that was some awesome customer service. I sadly don't have pics of the dessert because we got too excited. Very fresh but pricey! We have little to no nice restaurants in Castle Pines so we frequently do dine in or carry out.

Our regular Castle Rock sushi spot was closed, so we ventured up the road some and tried Sushi & Bowls. It took a few mins to be greeted, but service was extremely friendly. Celebrating their six-month anniversary, we enjoyed our complimentary order of edamame. I had the beef bulgogi, which was a fairly large bowl with good flavor. I can't say it was the most tender beef I've ever had, and a few pieces were downright chewy. Miso soup was good, but I was surprised it didn't have the little tofu cubes that typically accompany a bowl. My daughter tried three different rolls...the Philly, Las Vegas, and California. She thought they were good, but she didn't rave about them like she typically does. I tried a piece of the Philly, and I thought it was quite good. All in all, not bad. We'd probably go back, but we'd also check for other options first. read more

Solid sushi in Castle Pines. A lot of the rolls had tempora, but they were able to swap out the fried asparagus for fresh to accommodate gluten sensitivity. The unagi was seared and served warm and crisp. The atmosphere is nice, pretty unassuming but inviting. The service was friendly and I felt like they cared. They offer sushi bowls. Seemed like prefix poke style. I'd recommend for lunch or a casual dinner. it's nice to have more options in the area. read more

Such a great addition to Castle pines! Give them a little grace as they just opened and are short staffed, it was worth the wait! Located next to Ziggys - the windows are darkly tinted and it was truly a surprise gem walking in. We did the miso soup along with some rolls... although we did not order a bowl we were just having a quick lunch. They are MASSIVE and look delicious! The sushi was clean cut, lots of good stuff inside and wasn't over done with a ton of rice. We will definitely be back. Hope they're here to stay! read more

I made a first review and I've already been back twice since. I'm addicted to this gem of a restaurant! It's the best sushi / Korean / Asian food to have graced ALL of Castle Rock. They have so many options! My mom got the Shoyu Ramen and loved it, it was very flavorful and a perfect size portion. They also serve it on a cute wooden tray which I love. I ended up getting the Chicken Yakisoba, on the menu it says "noodles, rice, chicken, etc" -- I thought it was referring to the noodles as rice noodles but there is in fact rice at the bottom and noodles packed on top with flavorful veggies and delicious grilled chicken. I am absolutely in love with this dish! Such a good option for take out and comfort food. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual but the music is always a smooth jazz and it's so relaxing. It's a subtle touch that makes this restaurant amazing. Great for date night or family night too because you can hear everyone talk! Plus they make their soy sauce in house. We stopped by at 2:05 and were told that they would not serve us because they close at 2:30. I don't understand places that think this is ok. If you want to go home at 230 then close early enough to do that, don't inconvenience your client by closing earlier than your posted hours. We drove 15 miles and were turned away. This is new to CP and I am an Asian food addict! So, naturally, I had to give it a try. I had the spicy edamame and and the Spicy Seafood Udon (noodle soup). The spicy edamame was not as flavorful or spicy as that at Jing, but it was good. The Spicy Udon was very, very good. I gave this restaurant 4 stars instead of five because I was in somewhat of a hurry, so I needed to take the majority of my food with me. When I asked for a to-go container, my server said "I will need to charge you for it" The recent Colorado law (HB 21-1162) requires a 10 cent fee for bags in 2023 and, I believe, will ban plastic bags completely in 2024 but does not include restaurants, in general. The law requires businesses, that have to comply with the law, to pay 60% of the revenue from bag fees to the municipality they reside in and can retain 40% for administration costs. However, I am not sure if a restaurant that is not required to charge the fee can simply pay the 60% or will they just retain the full 100%. I really hope the owners of this establishment are not taking advantage of a law they are not required to comply with simply to make a few extra dollars. read more

This place is AMAZING. The sushi was incredible - extremely fresh and an outstanding presentation. The staff are all very nice. And Jia greeted us like old friends even though it was our first time there. The rolls the chefs create are (delicious) works of art. The only thing more impressive than the look of the food was the taste. I believe this is my 2nd favorite sushi place - the other one is in Japan so this is definitely more convenient:) This is a VERY welcome addition to the Castle Pines area! read more

Great place, I have picked up food from here multiple times and every time has been great. I personally don't eat sushi but I get the teriyaki chicken bowl and it's AMAZING!! Everyone else in my family gets sushi and they always love all the different rolls they get. The staff is great and very attentive and greets you when you come in.
