READ THE REVIEW CAREFULLY: The project took much longer than promised, and important details were never clearly explained. We waited 2-3 weeks expecting installation, only to find out it wasn't happening. Later, they told us they could only complete the front side and not the back, and then asked for additional money to do what was originally expected on both sides. We were told the entire process, including installation, would take 2-3 weeks, but that was not the case at all. Communication was poor, and I had to constantly follow up for updates. There was no proactive outreach or clear timeline. Overall, the execution and communication were disappointing and unprofessional. I would not recommend based on this experience. We asked for a refund and will not be working with Mulholland. (Mulholland only look at their 5 star reviews lol, they ain't 5 stars at all, 0-1 Stars) read more

I purchased a gate from Mulholland in 2023. It's a nice looking gate, but they don't stand by their product installation. Within the first few months I wasn't able to open/close the gate without fear it wouldn't lock or close properly since my home backs to a public park. I also have a pool and was promised by a Mulholland Gates sales representative I'd get a secure/operational/functional gate that was guaranteed for life. I highly recommend Mulholland Gates. We got a front and side gate in black with mid color wood finish horizontal slats. The product works well and looks great. The installation was efficient as well. I want to call out the best part of the experience and overall service was Arno, who was the sales person. He walked us through options, provided different quotes, helped direct our after installation minor issues to help get them fixed. He even stopped by afterwards on his own when he was in the neighborhood to spray some little spots on the fence and adjusted the gate to ensure it shut tightly. What incredible service! Ask for Arno. He will take good care of you end to end! I can't speak to other gate providers, but given gate works well, looks good, and the high touch customer service and care to ensure we were satisfied, Mulholland gates are a great value! read more

I wish I could give this company 5 negative stars. Their work was absolutely shoddy from start to finish. The paint on the so-called "powder-coated aluminum" gates is peeling, chipping, and bubbling. Some of the gates that were delivered were scratched and hung unevenly. The address plates our HOA contracted for were another disaster--with glass pieces slipping/falling off and house/unit numbers that were attached incorrectly. Additionally we had address plates that were never delivered. It's beyond frustrating! Mulholland also offered a lock system which we subsequently found out was not meant to be used outdoors. These "smart" locks are useless and need to be replaced. Mulholland has absolutely no pride in their work. To make matters worse, their customer service is nonexistent. We are filing a complaint with the CSLB because this kind of work is unacceptable. Save yourself the headache--do not use this company. If they attempt to rebrand under another name---run away! read more

we started out with one design and after multiple attempts for them to copy a photo but they couldn't get it right, we had to change our design! it took months to get the new design made then after they installed it, I picked up multiple screws, pieces of metal and trash. the pedestrian part of the gate was supposed to have a combo lock but they said it was on backorder so they gave us a keyed lock that only stayed locked if you left in the key! not my idea of security! after much complaining, they said our lock finally came in BUT it's digital and smart. when you try to use it, the numbers are impossible to see and I don't want to use an app for my own gate! it's not what I was promised AT ALL. now, after it being here for 3 mos, the arms are rusting, the bolts are loose and the panels are constantly open! ZERO security. I'm in south OC and they're in LA so we don't get any help from them. I don't recommend. read more

We purchased a custom front gate from Mulholland Gates through our contractor. The first gate that showed up was not what we ordered. When they installed the right gate, the concrete they used to set one of the poles looks like a kindergarten did it. We had to pay to have that fixed. The gate will not shut without slamming it or turning the handle, which you can't do from the outside. The glass panel is still broken from the installation and the gate is scratched from when they tried to fix the glass but still left a cracked window. One of the poles was originally too short. They replaced it and it is now too long. They have stopped responding to my contractor. Buyer beware if you deal with this company. We spent $7k for a gate that embarrasses us to this day because guests cannot leave our house without having to slam the gate shut. read more

I am writing this to recommend the services of Gustavo who works for Mulholland Brand Gates We had a wooden enclosure for our pool equipment that he removed and then replaced with Mulholland's aluminum material. He arrived on time and worked throughout the day and well into the night to finish. He was polite, personable, and knew what he was doing. He was able to adjust on the fly when, through no fault of his own, things didn't fit exactly. The finished work was great. The only hiccup was some of the debris from the original enclosure was left behind as he and his partner had no more room in their truck. In a perfect world, they might have returned the next day to take it away. But I was very pleased with Gustavo's professionalism and would recommend him highly. read more
