Nice local place, it was my first time here. The staff is very friendly and helpful when you can't make a decision or can't find something. They do offer some tastes as well which is always awesome to see. Got some really good salami and some sharp cheddar cheese, before we knew it we ate it all! Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the friendly woman at the cheese counter. She asked if we needed help and offered us samples of whatever we wanted. Mullahy's has an variety of salamis, prosciutto, and chorizo along with many variations of cheeses from all over New England. Prices are what you'd expect for artisanal meats and cheeses. We ended up buying a stick of chorizo, crostini's, corn nuts, and garlic peppercorn cheese. read more

Whether you call in and curb side, or see her on a virtual class, or come in (small shop, not many at a time, but still doable!), she has the smiles, the knowledge and the brawn to pull off an amazing little show with beers to pair with the incredible line up of cheeses and meats, wines under $20 that are GREAT little finds at little prices, crackers, nuts, chocolates. Katie knows EVERYONE by name or face - every local and new repeat visitor. She is a powerhouse of good will, a community ambassador and overall just a neat lady. Wonderful experience at this great shop! I need to keep a close watch on my sodium and Katie, the owner, taught me a lot about what cheeses would be best, and pulled out a huge file to double check the sodium levels on each cheese we were considering! Do not miss the small containers of cheese from Australia in oil in the refrigerator. Thanks to our other favorite cheese shop (Concord Cheese Shop - pals of Katie's) we call it Aussie Magic! It's hard to talk about a cheese shop (or cheesemaker) without referring to Monty Python, but I've already done that. There's cheese! All kinds of cheese! Yummy cheese, mild cheese, sharp cheese, soft cheese, hard cheese, stinky cheese. The cat has NOT eaten the Camembert. Kate has charcuterie, olives, cheese-slicing and serving implements, and pretty much anything you might need or want to satisfy your cheese-craving needs. But no bloody bazooki player (sorry). I obviously don't know how to review a cheese shop, but this one clearly has a job to do (purveyance of cheesy comestibles), and it does that job impeccably. And if you really don't know what cheese will fill that gaping hole in your life, Kate will help you find it, make sure you taste it, and then cheerfully wrap it up so you can take it home and eat it. read more

Absolutely wonderful store. I work locally and love that I can get soup here at lunch. I've also purchased gifts for loved ones here. I love this place! Katie is somehow both incredibly knowledgeable and approachable. The selection is great and she can pair wine, beer and food recs with ease. Who knew blue cheese and chocolate made the perfect bite?! Katie recently did an in-home Cheese tasting and "lesson" for our group, and that was also tons of fun. Perfect opportunity to ask your embarrassing questions like "is this rind edible?!" It was a great and pretty unique experience. Highly recommend! read more

The staff were friendly and offered my wife and I the option to try any of the cheeses before buying, which was helpful because of my low cheese I.Q.. There were also some cheese samples out for the customers so I was able to experience some flavors that I normally would have overlooked. This is a great place to fill a picnic basket. The pate was decent and the choice of crackers they had were deceptively appropriate for what we bought (they appeared flimsy but held up nicely). The shop is a good addition to the area. read more

OMG I love this place! I love the cheese box (around $10) comes with two pieces of cheese, bread, olives, jam, salami. TO DIE FOR. It's too close to my office that is the problem. Fantastic! The shop owner was attentive and helpful, making sure we sampled cheeses that we thought sounded interesting as well as others that she recommended. The cheeses aren't crazy expensive, either, although it can be easy to spend a lot if you get a few kinds of imported crackers, a few kinds of olives, some fig spread, some grape leaves, some candy... but it was certainly worth it, and I will be back soon. read more

Katie is spectacular in introducing you to various cheeses, offering some unique flavors that definitely will please the palate. I love cheese and I am so happy this place is so close by! The owner Katie is super nice and obviously really knows her stuff! You can try any cheese and honestly I usually like or love every cheese I've tried here! When I bring a cheese plate to a party it's always a hit. I've had about 3 different bries that have been the best ones I've had. And the brown ale mustard seed is also a must try!
