My friend and I stopped in here on a Friday night for a cocktail while we were waiting for our takeout order at another restaurant. The place was pretty busy but the service staff were so nice and accommodating! They take such a unique selection of cocktail options that rotate monthly. Our drinks were great and reasonably priced. Our experience here overall was great! Would definitely come back to try some food next time.

I wasn't super hungry so I was looking for light options. The brisket crostini was light and seasoned perfectly-- the combination of flavors was savory and perfect. The salad was crisp and the dressing (homemade) was tangy which paired well with the brisket. There was a bit of pepper or some spicy seasoning in the dressing that was powerful but not to the point that it disappointed or amended the flavor. It is a casual spot but can be a great low-key date night spot too. The service was friendly and spacious. Definitely a delight and I look forward to returning!

I had heard good things about this place so I wanted to check it out. When I browsed the menu online I found out the ENTIRE menu is Gluten Free with the option to not get gluten free which is opposite of what it normally would be! The food was amazing! I love that they also have Gluten Free beer which is nice. The servers were really nice! And very knowledgeable. The restaurant itself is really cute and quaint. Not that many tables but its upscale but not too uppity. It's very comfortable. The prices aren't bad either and its big portion sizes and totally worth it. I will be back!

This is one of my favorite places in the South Hills. The cocktails are nothing short of incredible. The staff are all amazingly friendly and super skilled at what they do, which is evident by their incredible and creative rotating cocktail menu. Food is stellar as well. If you're gluten free this is absolutely your place as everything is either already GF or can be made GF eith substitutes. I would highly recommend the crispy pork belly, the brisket crostini, and the crispy brussels sprouts. As for the sandwiches, you can't go wrong. The smashburger and Bahn mi are two of my favorites. Sub a cup of the chili as your side...you won't regret it (well, the fries are great so you may have fomo). The one tip i have is that the place is small so go early, especially if you're rolling 4+ deep. Fridays and Saturdays always have a wait so please be patient. The owners Colin and Marissa are amazing, as is the rest of the bartending staff, AJ, Katie, and Bobby. And don't forget a round for the hard working kitchen staff before you leave!

Mullet's was an unbelievable experience. Being gluten free, I was so happy to be able to have anything on the menu because that's never the case! We started with the onion petals which was their weekly special and can't get over how good they were. The breading and sauce were amazing, and they used red onion which we thought was so different! The chicken sandwiches were unbelievable and they give you so much food. They also have really good gluten free buns (that's not always the case at other restaurants). Another thing to note is the servers were incredibly nice and helpful! My only complaint is the service was a little slow, but they were really busy. Highly recommend!!

Nice little place in Mt Lebo for some gluten free snacks and interesting well thought out cocktails! I've been told to try the gluten free chicken tenders , and I can't wait to try that on our next visit! This time around we did the hummus app and the pork belly, both were excellent, and I appreciate the gf availability!

Awesome bar with great food. Very allergy friendly with a clearly marked menu. Everyone on the staff was friendly and attentive. I had the burger which was phenomenal and the rest of my group had the Picklesburgh chicken special and enjoyed. Will definitely be back, it does fill up quickly fyi!

Fried chicken sandwich (half)

Wings were just ok - 5/10. They have a Smokey flavor which is not my favorite. The fried chicken sandwich was bad - 1/10. The piece of chicken was extremely small, most of it was fried breading on a bun with coleslaw and a pickle, barely any meat and cost $19. Also, If you prefer a chicken breast, do not get this sandwich. Atmosphere is nice.

Side of fries

Came in on a Wednesday for dinner right around 530. We were lucky enough to get a table, as the space is on the smaller side and tends to fill up quick. The bartender was also waiting on us and he was very friendly and attentive. We had the cauliflower, buffalo wings, a side of fries, the brisket crostini, and the smashburger. The fries were great. They were crispy, thinner, and properly seasoned. The cauliflower needed salt, but otherwise was great. The brisket crostini had a nice crunch and there was a good amount of brisket and asiago on top. The smashburger was cooked perfectly. It had crispy edges and was juicy in the middle. The bun was a little thicker/dense than I would've liked. I ate half the burger with the bun and then ditched the bun. The bathroom is down a flight of stairs and is unisex, but was clean.

I was very surprised at the quality of the food and atmosphere. This is definitely going to be a repeat spot in Mount Lebanon!

I wanted to become completely absorbed into this roof top Pittsburgh restaurant / bar…read more Unfortunately, I left not having the best experience. I came here on a Sunday at about 1pm. We sat outside, which was first come first serve. It took awhile for anyone to approach us but I was in the restaurant industry for some time so I surely realize it happens for many reasons ! My friend ordered two speciality drinks which we were then told they didn't have the ingredients to make those cocktails...Okay - it happens no problem . We then ordered food from the brunch menu ( also out of the first item we asked for , there are only about 6-7 items on that limited menu). We asked if the regular menu would be available that day and we were told "no not on Sunday's." We proceeded to order and consume the hot honey chicken and waffles( good but not much of a hot honey taste and be aware it's BONE IN chicken), French toast with berries ( delicious ), and the shrimp and grits (made to perfection). I ordered the Texas medicine beverage , which was exquisite! (Tequila cocktail, Pictured). We also had the Petal and Pearl , gin and procecco cocktail ,not pictured but very good as well. After we ate, we moved to the bar to grab one last beverage. Again, it took quite some time for someone to approach us, which was odd because many of the girls were making eye contact but walking by us. Finally a gentleman with curly hair came over to take our orders - thank you. We noticed people at the bar were eating wings and food that was not listed on the brunch menu. When I asked how they ordered that, they said the regular menu starts at 3 on Sundays! We were extremely disappointed our original server did not tell us this nor was enlightened that the menu was released at a later time on Sundays. Concerning. It was nice to sit on a roof top in Pittsburgh on a sunny day. They have the atmosphere done with perfection. The food seemed delectable and the beverages done with beautiful presentations. I really hope to give this place another chance and revise my review !

They're located in Dormont, which makes this a walkable brewery for me (thanks to having friends and family in the area!). A friend and I did indeed walk over to catch up on a recent Friday. The place was surprisingly quiet - my friend mentioned that they get VERY busy during the summer, when people attend events across the road and want to buy beer to go with their market and/or food truck purchases. Speaking of food trucks, Hibachi Lou was parked out front on this particular Friday. So my friend and I got our hibachi orders at the truck out front; ordered our beer and/or cider from the bar; and took everything to a table in Back Alley's dining area to enjoy. While the place wasn't packed it wasn't empty, either; families and groups of friends were playing board games at every other table or so. So, what did I think about the drinks? I'm really glad Back Alley had Arsenal Cider on tap - I ordered a glass as my "sweet treat"/dessert after dinner. First though, I decided to try a beer. Back Alley, if you see this: I'm a BIG fan of sour beers and would order those if they're on the menu in the future! As of now though, no sour beers, so I ordered a "Snowed In" - Back Alley's spiced winter ale. It was a dark beer with a blend of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, hence the "spiced" moniker. While not something I normally seek out, I really enjoyed it and am glad I tried it! Altogether, it was a 10/10 experience - I'm so glad my friend and I came here for our Friday together. I'll be back!
