Food okay, convenient locale for NAS workers, golf. This is a restaurant on NAS JAX, so if you can't get on base you can't visit here. But don't be too disappointed, the burgers are about the only thing decent here and even those are not the best in the land. My wife had a side of chili which basically was tasteless. My wings were pitiful and I also got chicken fingers which were also very sad. This was my second visit. The first I was more fortunate and ordered the burger. It was decent, and I actually enjoyed it but that may have just been the company. Pass.

    Bacon cheddar pretzel burger.

Mulligans is a restaurant located on NAS Jacksonville base. It is located in the base golf club house, which is nice after playing a few holes of golf. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner with lunch and dinner specials changing weekly. The food is typical diner fare. I had the bacon cheese burger on a pretzel burger with fries. The burger came out well done but was juicy with a unique flavor. Their fries are always crispy and seasoned well. You can't go wrong ordering anything here. I have only heard good things from other people who have dined here.

My friend ordered us the Pork Belly Kimchi Fries, I got us an order of the Cheese Curds, and for my entree I got an order of the Asian Sticky Wings. I probably would have never ordered the kimchi fries on my own. Sometimes kimchi can be fickle and really hit or miss. It was definitely a hit here. More on the sweet and tangy side but worked really well. Fries seasoned perfectly, and the pork belly cubed and cooked to perfection. Out of all of the times I've been to Wicked Barley, these fries have to be one of the best items I've had from there. Cheese curds were pretty basic. Tasted great, but nothing to write home about. If you like Cheese curds, you'll enjoy theirs. I originally had my eye on the jerk chicken wings and I was warned by the waitress and my friend that they are REALLY hot. Jerk chicken is generally one of those thats right on the borderline of too hot for me. To give you an idea, if you're familiar with Butthutt BBQ's jerk chicken, theirs is as far as I can go for spice level. So I switched it up to be safe, and I am glad I did. Sweet and sticky, these had really great flavor inside and out. Would definitely get these again in the future. Brought a couple home to the hubby and he seemed to enjoy them too, and he normally doesn't like, what he refers to as, "sweet meat". I had three different beers in my favorite tasting style, sour. I had the PB&J sour, the mango sour, and the orange cream sour. The orange cream was my favorite of the 3. We enjoyed the sounds of the band Splittone in the background and enjoyed the whole vibe of our meal. I'm hoping to visit again on a future weekend and possibly bringing one of my pups along with me since they are dog friendly.

Beer selection great Try the cheese curds to start. They are phenomenal. Candyce and I had burgers with her side fries and my side pork rinds omg the pork rinds were fantastic. Good service. Good food. Couple of gotchas but nothing much. Definitely will be back....

When we walked in, we saw a huge table of senior citizens, maybe about 20-30! We decided to stay. There was only one Bartender and one Waitress. The place was packed. We sat by the window seats-that was all that was left to sit at. The Waitress was very attentive(even though she was slammed). Today's special was shrimp baskets. Shrimp could be cooked three ways. I chose fried w/onion rings(fresh-not frozen rings) & and a 50/50 tea. My meal was delicious. Laura had blackened shrimp w/broccoli. We both enjoyed our meals and had a great conversation. I had $40.00 cash on me and Laura had a card to treat me, but the internet and card machine had just gone down. So I paid for the meal and tip. Laura Cash App'd me $40.00. Pros:big place with a very friendly atmosphere. Great service and food. Cons:it was out of their control that the machine went down. Recommend:Yes

It's a sit anywhere kind of place but with that it takes them over 10 minutes to bring menus to the table. All 3 times I had to ask for plates and silverware. The food was okay nothing spectacular. The last time, and final time I gave them a shot, the server we had seemed to be in an awful mood and was extremely short with everyone when ordering. She didn't know what beers they had so my friend had to get up and go to the bar to see. It just seems like she was having a bad day and possibly weeded but her attitude left a bad taste in my mouth and she said she had worked there from when it was still dicks wings. It gave the vibe of "I'm tired and I want to go home so hurry up and order". Not very welcoming.
