This place always looks packed. So my boyfriend and I finally decided to try it. When you walk in, it looks like a regular dingy pub. They have those plastic lifetime tables in there. With some round and square tables in there. Dark. A couple 32in TVs on the wall. Nice size bar. Appearance wise it's horrible. I understand they're going under construction though so they got a pass for that. We sat at a plastic table, and a nice server gave us menus. She was very nice and sweet. Originally we ordered ginger ale. It was horrible. Not flat but like too watered down. It tasted like a splash a coke in a cup of seltzer. We told the waiter and she was nice, suggested we just don't get soda unless it's the root beer they have. I asked for water with lemon. I got water no lemon. Which again, cool. Our server was sweet. No big deal. My boyfriend ordered the French onion soup. It was good. Usually they put that bread in the soup, this place doesn't. But they gave him crackers. I was fine with that. My boyfriend didn't like that it didn't have the bread in it. He says the flavoring was good though. It's Thursday they had some specials but it was around lunch time so I got a sandwich and he got a burger. I got a chicken cutlet sandwich. It was chicken cutlet with red roasted papers and broccoli rabe. All sandwich's come with fries, a slice of pickle and some dry (and I mean really dry) cole slaw. It was a huge sandwich. Still it looked better then it tasted. He got a bacon burger. He asked for it medium. He got well done. At this point we didn't even care to mention anything to our still very pleasant server. By this time we were already convinced we're not coming back. The fries were regular pub fries. Nothing impressive about this place. At all. Idk why it's always packed. We did just move to this area, so maybe this is the best food around here which is sad. Either way I'll stay home and make my own food next time. read more

I have been going to Mulligan's for many years even back to when it was Merryfields Bar and Grill. I've spoken to friends and family about this restaurant/bar favorably many, many times because I've been very pleased with their food quality, prices, and professionalism. Tonight, though I finally made the statement to Lori the owner that I would not be coming back, again. She looked me in the face and said: "Good!" My wife, son, his wife and his daughter and myself were expressing our feelings about waiting so long for our food to be served. The owner, Lori finally came to our table and it seemed like she was looking for a fight. My son and I were just trying to get the order moving. My wife, daughter-in-law and grand-daughter had already left the table, because my wife said she was ready to leave. Lori, said: "Leave!" Went to Mulligan's for my first time tonight...place was packed! Thought that was a good sign! Finally got a couple of seats at the bar... Bartender terrible!! Drinks have no alcohol in them!! She basically dumped a glass of ice water on me and didn't even apologize!!! Guess when you are a blond you don't have too! Got some peel and eat shrimp...ok although cocktail sauce was more like Bloody Mary mix. Sometimes things just don't work out even when your intentions are good. This was not a pleasant Mother's Day experience as there was plenty of help but service was very poor as we waited over 1 1/2 hours for our soap to arrive, after we sat down at 5:15. The soup finally showed up luke cold at 6:30, It's now 7:20 and still waiting for the main course, when I asked the server, he said they were really busy with takeout, even though the restaurant was crowded, take out was more important, yet other people after us were getting their appetizers and food. Not sure what time the food will show up or if it will be warm or cold if it gets here This will not be a recurring experience here, as they have outgrown customer service in-spite of Covid. Update, food showed up at 7:50 Luke warm and smaller portions, I guess they were sharing, so at this point just asked the server who never introduced himself for take out boxes, as we overstayed our patients after all this. When we spoke with the manager he just let it roll, as the register was more important then addressing our long wait concerns. This place used to be great but lately it's just not as good. A group of 6 of us went last night (Friday) for dinner. First it took at least 15 minutes for the waitress to even come over. Needless to say, the service was less than stellar the whole night. Everything took forever, including receiving our food. The food runners originally brought over a plate of stuffed long hots that did not belong to or table along with a few of our meals (none of the food came out together). The appetizers were pricey for what you got. My husband ordered chicken tenders and they brought him out a small piece of grilled chicken sliced into strips with hot sauce. I told him to send it back but he said service was so slow he'd just eat it. When the bill came, they had charged about $1 more than the menu said for just about everything. Warning, they also charge for soda refills. Their drinks, alcohol or non alcohol are small. There are too many great restaurants in the area and this will not be my choice next time. read more

Love this place!!! The best roasted pork sandwiches! We had a Graduation Party here and the catering crew, Frank, Chuck and Joey did a fabulous job! They set the place up with white tablecloths and a delicious buffet, including appetizers, Pork, Salmon and Chicken Parm plus all the sides and fixings. Awesome rolls, coleslaw and long hots make the perfect pork sandwich!! All the guests were thrilled with the food and service! Thanks for a fantastic party! read more

Mulligan's seems like an ideal dive to visit on a stormy day for a pint with the locals. Despite living in the area off and on for a few years, I never noticed Mulligan's until recently. It doesn't pop up first on Yelp searches, but that doesn't make it any less worthy of a visit. It's right on the White Horse Pike and doesn't exactly have a welcoming facade. I'd assume the last renovation was years (decades?) ago. When you walk in, you're faced with a large bar, a green-lit case of beverages, and a splattering of tables in a dimly lit dining area. Oh, and a handful of "CASH ONLY" signs. We weren't greeted and no one was at the host stand, so we made our way to a table near the bar. Shortly after, menus were dropped off. I chose the beer cheese dip as a starter and the Doggie (two Hebrew National dogs, listed under burgers) as my meal. The dip was pretty disappointing. You get a heaping portion with a side of toasted pita. The menu didn't cite "zingy" and there was no way to know there'd be such a strong spice flavor. I can't really handle any sort of tang, so I ate as much as I could and left most of it behind. I assumed it'd be cheesy with a hint of beer more than anything, but it was more like a strong nacho dip. If that's your thing, you may enjoy it more than I did. My two hot dogs came with chili, cheese, and bacon. I asked for the caramelized onions to be omitted but still found a few. I would have loved this much more if I asked for no chili, but then what's the point of the price? The chili was seriously overpowering to the point that I could hardly taste the hot dog. I've had plenty of chili cheese dogs in the past, and this was one of my least favorites. As for their beer list, they do have some local drafts. Prices are cheap. I asked for the Cape May Pilsner, but they had changed it out to an IPA (no thanks), so I went with Tuckahoe's Milk Stout instead. It was pretty good and helped with all the unexpected flavors throughout the meal. I'd say Mulligan's is a good place to visit at least once, but I'd recommend sitting at the bar and maybe ordering a burger (those looked good!). The owner, Lori, has the WORST customer service skills ever!!!! The drinks are obviously watered downed when HER response is "if I replaced every drink that people complained about I'd be broke". And the drink was FULL!!! Not like my friend finished it then said it didn't have alcohol. Things escalated and she called my friend a fat ass!!!! What business owner does this???? We went with a large group. The place was not crowded but service was still slow. This in itself was not the main issue. Steak ordered medium came very well done. Same for burgers. Other orders were not correct. Even with all this it was still ok. The main concern was when the food runner dropped the F bomb when we were slow to tell him who's food was who's. He muttered something extremely vulgar when walking away. We spent a lot of money there and did not appreciate being treated that way. We will not be back and will make sure we spread the word on how we were treated. read more

I love this place. We started coming here a few years ago after a friend recommended it. We were nervous that when they basically doubled in size the quality of the food and service would be lost. It wasn't. Hands down one of the best bars to eat at in all of South Jersey. As a professional drinker and wing eater this place is at the top of the list. Most underrated wings in the area. They're right up there with the Jug, Dominick's, and The Golden Nugget. The dinner specials they have are fantastic. There aren't too many bars you can get a decent steak at and this is one of them. They have a discounted Italian and seafood night that is easily affordable for families on a budget. If I lived closer I would be there everyday. read more

Mulligans is quickly going downhill. There was a time when mulligans was our favorite go to bar especially for their dinners. After tonight we may never return to mulligans. All of us had seafood that was very undesirable especially the very large mussels. To start off the meal with a torpedo roll cut up and call it rolls is kind of ridiculous. Had lunch today and the service was LOUSEY! I had to ask our waiter after about 20 minutes if he forgot our soup, he didn't answer and a few minutes later he brought it out. I will say it was tasty and hot (crab bisque). We waited another 20 for two sandwiches and a pasta dish, so in total we waited approx 40 minutes from the time we walked in the door to getting out food.. Way too long. Also the pasta dish was very bland, and the two sandwiches didn't have the horseradish sauce as advertised. Also refills for ice tea and soda are per glass..beware...Who does that anymore? We were excited to try this place since it has had an extensive make over now not so much. Won't be returning anytime soon read more

Wife and I went in to watch the Phillies game on September 2nd I ordered mild wings and Clams Casino. The food came out in like 10 minutes. The wings were so hot and spicy when I ordered mild. So they gave me plain wings and basically a cup of of 3/4 grease and a little hot sauce in it. So I sent it back and they added a little more hot sauce to the same cup of grease. I wasn't happy and they were basically like oh well. On top of this they sent me out these beautiful looking clams casino dish. I went to eat them and they were Frozen solid in the middle and the shell was steaming hot. So I was a little angry that they weren't freshly made from a frozen box or package. So I asked for them to heat them up and not to microwave the dish. They sent me the same dish back and they were just warm and not hot. All the time I was thinking why aren't these freshly made and not from a freezer. Finally I just said I don't want them. My thing is I'm at a nice place paying top dollar for a good food experience and I got SHIT. I've heard from people the food has gone down hill. And the good freshly prepared meals are a thing of the past. I witnessed for myself they have there standards in the shit tank. Please be aware of eating here. Ordered garlic hot wings for takeout with a side of ass burner sauce to just see how spicy it really is. Wings are very good. I live literally 3 minute drive away and just wish they didnt package the wings in aluminum foil then container. Literally probably took 10 minutes from fryer to my lips and they already lost the crunch from steaming in the aluminum foil. Enjoyed the breading though and hand chopped fresh garlic. That ass burner sauce is no freaking joke. I love spicy but that stuff is spicy af. What do you all put in it? Reapers and capsaicin? Great local town bar. Drinks and food was reasonably priced and delicious . I was told by the others in our petty that the wings and seafood were delicious. The bartenders were friendly and kept an accurate tab even wIth the amount of people we had In our party. The patrons were mostly local and very friendly. Had the worst experience there this evening with my family. We ordered sandwiches and 25 minutes later no food. Our waiter who was very nice kept apologizing for the delay. Fifteen minutes later my mother in law asked him what was taking so long. He was tired of giving excuses so he got the owner. The owner is a very nasty tone said its only been 25 minutes since we ordered. We stated it has been over 30 minutes. Very nasty again she said its busy back there. I said you don't have to be so rude we are just asking. She started getting loud and I asked her to please leave our table and she said no you leave. We got up and left. Mulligans never disappoints. Food is top notch and the beer selection isn't too bad. Not many craft beers outside of the usual, but enough to satisfy you. They opened up a new addition recently. Huge bar in the middle surrounded by tables. The old bar I heard is used for overflow or events. Mulligans food specials are excellent. I ordered a French dip with fries for under $10. The crab bisque I ordered was amazing. Not sure what it cost, but I'd pay too dollar for that. I'm looking forward to coming back again. You can get an excellent meal for under $20. They have dinner specials most nights. Don't let the packed parking lot dissuade you as there's ample room inside. There's also plenty of street parking. Note: Their billing is unique. I believe there are two owners; 1) Alcohol and 2) Food. Be prepared to pay two separate bills. read more

I have to say I was appalled at the way I was treated by the hostess. I was part of a large group and wanted an empty table so some of us could order food and sit at a table to eat it. She was rude, said the tables were for "dining service only". Then, I ordered my food to go because I was so annoyed at the hostess and I saw the special of the day was "lobster Mac & cheese". So, $17 later I get home, open the container and it was anything but what they claimed it was. There were literally 5 small clumps of lobster claw meat on top of very dry ziti with a little sauce on top. There wasn't even any cheese involved in this dish. What a disappointment. We took the MIL out for her 65th birthday. Right after sitting my 3 year old had to use the bathroom. He and I had a little disagreement about washing his hands and he got upset so we took a seat in the old section of the building while he calmed down. The hostess popped by and she was wonderful. This bar has been around forever & I have lived in the area forever, but somehow I have never been here. We have heard good things, so decided to try it. We stopped in around 6:30 Monday night & the place was packed with a 30 min wait time. We decided to wait, but we're sat in about 15 mins. Service was really slow, but I attribute that to the lack of people wanting to work these days. I'm sure they were doing the best they can. Our food came out good. The sodas were not good, seemed like maybe the machine doesn't work correctly. I ordered an Old Fashioned, although it tasted good, it was served in a glass full of ice, not really my preference. Even though they were extremely busy, the bartender came over to my table to make sure I liked my drink. We sat with our empty plates & drinks for about 20 mins until we were able to get a bus boy to grab our waitress. Tonight 12/25 was my 2nd time at Mulligan's 1st time was bar side beers, wings & snow crabs. Good time! Tonight was horrible from walking right in and sitting down but took over an hour to get our meal for 4 adults & 2 toddlers. Server was extremely slow and food was horrible. I had chicken Sinatra shrimp tasted fake and bad chewy with gross taste. Mashed potatoes seemed days old likely under the hot lamp for hours. Other 3 meals two different types of burgers & steak and seafood with each plate sharing very similar results. All plates were left half eaten or just under. Very disappointing! read more

Unfortanley the owner needs to be educated on how to speak to customers. She had an inexperienced waitress serve a large table. We went to the bar for most drinks and tipping bartender when ordering. We asked for the bill and it was just a total and had to ask again for an itemized bill before paying. We left a 10% tip due to the slow service, table not cleared and going to the bar for drinks and tipping the bartenders for their great service. We were ready to leave and the owner Lori came over grabbing glasses and plates off the table yelling at us and asking us if we counted correctly? When one of us said yes she replied "your drunk and fat" She continued to rant about the kitchen is a different service and they have to be paid out separately. I never was in a place of business where an owner spoke to a customer like that. How about saying ..Was there something the matter tonight with the service? We would have be more than happy to explain and tip appropriately. Not our problem on how you run your kitchen and tips separately though. And the added 3% with a debit card is not making it look any better to make this a place to go. read more

Went to buy drinks (takeout wine) and handed my credit card and green card over to the nice bartender and then the owner, appearing to be drunk, comes out of the kitchen and asks to look at my *government-issued and perfectly legally form of age identification* green card while eating with an open mouth full of food, no mask, breathing over everything. He sees "permanent resident" on the card and says "What the fuck is that?" and thinks I'm scamming him cause he can't find a green card in a book of state ID card pictures (also how do you run a bar and have never met a resident alien nor ever seen a human being use a green card as proof of age?). He demanded I leaf through the book and show him a picture of a green card -- even though the book only shows state IDs. Bizarre. Then he proceeds to take a photo of my green card (!) on his phone. Massive invasion of privacy and identity theft trigger and totally unnecessary. Finally the nice bartender intervenes and makes the owner see sense (the only comedy of the night is when the bartender pointed out that I have gray hair). I then have to show the owner how to delete my ID picture permanently from his phone after his incredibly weird decision to photograph it, and then I finally get to pay for the wine after 5 minutes of unnecessary harassment. I left a tip for the bartender as I felt bad for him having to work with that guy. As we leave the owner tells me nonsensically and unprompted "I have a million dollar operation here!" even though we said nothing. (PS the place looks like a dive bar's less-successful cousin). And then he menacingly stares at my Black boyfriend and says, "Just remember it's a privilege to come here!" If Mulligans is a "privilege" then they can keep it. read more
