Interior was super clean. The bar was pretty cool as they had normal comfortable chairs to sit in as the bartenders had steps to go down into the bar. Came back again for dinner and I hate to say this but the service was awful. I don't know if they had her running all over the restaurant or not, but she would disappear for long periods and not come back. I wanted another drink, and she never checked on us. We finally caught her attention and mentioned the kitchen forgetting ingredient items on the menu, that are supposed to be included in your food (like avocado) She was very polite, but the experience really turned us off this time, not sure if we will be back. I didn't want to stiff her because I know they have to tip out and pay 8%, but for a $70ish bill I felt bad leaving $12, when I normally would drop $20-25 to a server for something like that. The food was adequate, I'd say it was pretty standard pub fare. The shrimp was ridiculously heavily coated with batter. My daughter's meal came with coleslaw and despite the fact that we asked numerous times, no utensils were brought for her to eat it. The cheese curds were decent, as was my chicken sandwich. We've been to Mulligans many times and have never been disappointed. The nachos are amazing, pasta is great, salads are delish.

When I'm eating out with a large party, I keep my expectations low. I mean, how good can the service be? But, Mulligan's blew me away with the speed of their service. And, speed doesn't count for much of the food isn't good. But, again, Mulligan's delivered on all counts. My Blackened Bleu Cheese Bacon Burger was an absolute monster. The balance of beef to bacon to cheese was just right. And, there was a lot of it. The waffle fries were crispy and flavorful. I usually hit a point in the meal when I figure I'll take half of it home. I hit that point, but I kept on eating. I'm in pain, but it was worth it. The Mac and Cheese is like Clark Kent: a mild mannered Mac and Cheese that turns out to be Superman when you take the first bite. Yes, it has macaroni and it has cheese, like a mortal mac and cheese. But, this one is a pork belly (!!) mac & cheese topped with cheddar jack cheese. Holy crap is it good. It can be served with jalapeños if you're in a feisty mood. And then, we have the fried chicken sandwich. Lightly fried and crispy with perfectly cooked chicken. Things like this make me wish I had a bigger stomach. Seriously... want to try everything. The portions are massive, too. And, the prices are reasonable for the quality and service. We had hoped we could bring the dogs, since there's an outside dining area, but no dogs are allowed. We had to leave them at the hotel to help with the leftovers. Mulligans does everything so well that I can see making a detour to eat here the next time I go up north. read more

We were sitting on the rooftop at the Cheboygan Brewing Co and decided to get some food, other than the popcorn and chips that were offered at CBC. A local patron suggested Mulligan's. We ordered takeout and it was ready at the promised time. We had the perch strips, quesadilla,chicken bites, and goat cheese medallions. Everyone said their food was good but I'm going to say my goat cheese medallions were spot on! They were fried crisp and accompanied by a balsamic lettuce side and sliced baguettes. On 10/3/25 we had lunch there. Their food is always good to great. I ordered a locally brewed beer which I have recently had at two other restaurants. Blood orange honey beer. At those locations I paid 6.50 for 16 ozs. Mulligans does not have a draft beer order list. When I received my bill, I was very surprised to see the same beer (23 oz.) listed at 19.00. I inquired about the price and our waitress asked the manager about the price. I was told 19.00 was correct. I objected but paid the bill. This left me with some really bad feelings. read more

Don't be fooled by the "dog friendly outside seating" statement posted on their website. That's the main reason we chose this place while passing through town, only to be told that it's only dog friendly for service dogs, no other option. Extremely frustrating. The silver lining is that we ended up across the alley at the Nauti Inn for great food and a nice outdoor dining area --which our dog loved! read more

My last few meals were inedible. Waitstaff were snarky, unhelpful, and spare. If you're bringing guests, get prepared to be embarrassed. I've tried being supportive of this place my whole adult life--indeed, for decades. I can no longer support a place that doesn't care for its guests, takes very little pride in the food it prepares, and only seems to get progressively worse. Maybe it's a "training issue." I've dined here a few times and usually had a fair experience. Yesterday, me and a couple of buddies stopped in for supper and I ordered a Salmon Salad. The description indicated that it was assembled with "mixed greens" and I asked the server to define exactly what that included. She wasn't sure and I told her that I didn't want it if the greens included iceberg or Romaine lettuce. After checking with som in the kitchen, she assured me that it did NOT include those ingredients but it was made with Spinach, Kale other "greens". When the salad arrived, it was made with ONLY Romaine Lettuce. My buddies told me to get over it and quit bitchin'. So, I tried to avoid the spines and white parts and ate it. Was in Cheboygan for the night and looking for a place to eat around 8PM. After seeing this in the map, I was expecting a standard bar, with fried food and a dirty floor. I was not expecting such a clean and upscale-seeming interior! Our waitress was super nice, very attentive. We were one of about four other tables in the whole place but we were also a very needy group of 6. I got the bourbon burger, which was very wet but very delicious. The appetizer wings were amazing - so crispy despite being covered in sauce. I wish my burger hadn't filled me up so I could more of them! Waffle fries were good. The ranch was amazing, I wanted an IV to mainline it to my body. Other food we got... the burrito was HUGE and the cheese curds were many. My sisters and I stopped in for our girls weekend and unfortunately our drinks were made incorrectly. Our waitress graciously got my sister a new drink however she mentioned the normal bartender was not in--the drink was made with way too much syrup, so my sister was unable to drink her drink. This is one of the worst experiences. We had a 45 minute wait and sat outside at the waiting tables. They had one of our parties phone numbers and when they called it said Johnson Home Depot. This place was adorable with its creative menu! I had the Nutty Bulldog cocktail and decided on the Alfredo pasta with steak and mushrooms under the "On Par Pasta" section of the menu and it was all so delicious! Our server was so sweet! Her name was Nicole! She was the sweetest server I've had in a long time. The fact that I'm only in town for a few days( Cheboygan just for that day) and her service was just hands down amazing all around, first impressions are pretty important to me and my first impression of her was just awesome. I loved the service, the food, my drink, the atmosphere was nice. I couldn't have asked for a better one night at this restaurant.
