I eat a lot of wings. When I'm at Mulligan's, I eat A LOT of wings. The atmosphere is everything you'd expect in a local, American bar & grill. What isn't expected is the quality of their food. Their wings are honestly the best that I've ever had. Impeccably fried, tossed in just the right amount of their buttery buffalo sauce, and served with a great homemade ranch that you could just drink. Mulligan's has an overall good reputation in west county and chesterfieldians. It was my second time dining in at Mulligan's and the service was straight up poor. The waitress was not only super rude but also possibly the slowest server of all time. She made low key hostile comments at me and my friends. Not going to lie the wings were gas! They always have a homemade soup of the day and one or two specials. The atmosphere is that of a local, friendly repeat customer. Service is good and quick. Great burgers, wraps and homemade chips. My carry-out order was smoothly and quickly accomplished via phone with a real person, the carry-out process was smooth as silk, and our order, Dog Leg Left (hot dog smothered) and 4 Wood (veggie) were delicious and very affordably priced. I couldn't decide where I wanted to eat for dinner so my husband suggested this place cause it's close to home. I am so glad we went !!! Seriously so good .... I had "The Masters" which is an open faced burger with TONS of chili and cheese on top. It was the best burger/sandwich I have ever had. They give you a ton of fries which is always nice. I couldn't finish my whole plate I had to take half home. The iced tea was seriously so good. Iced tea is my favorite beverage and this was in the top 3 iced teas I've had. I referred customers at the wrong time and wrong day!! They were very disrespectful, very rude AND put in their order wrong. When we called to let the elder woman know about the wrong order she became very nasty and indignant, I myself felt offended. This encounter with this person has occurred in my presence with other patrons- Mulligan's owners should particularly reassess their frontline greeter, especially this elder woman!!! I have enjoyed going there several times a week, have never had this experience but when I refer others there and they are disrespected, I am personally offended!!! read more

Really awful. Just frozen food fried and served in front of big screens blasting sports. Only went here cuz it was the only place open at 11 pm. Not going back. Service was good, though. This is the worst service I've ever received! My server came for our order and I never saw her again. A food runner brought out our food. She didn't bring plates or napkins for the appetizer. I had to wave people down for plates. No refills. She walked past us several times without asking what we needed. Our food took forever. I had to wait an hour for a bill after we finished eating. My husband literally drove to drop my daughter off 20 minutes away to an extracurricular and we still didn't have our bill when he came back. I should have walked out, but I waited for the manager. In the chain restaurant bland food wasteland that is West County Mulligans stands out. Family owned and serving great food for years. This place is a shining star. Wing are their specialty, but they have wonderful salads and sandwiches too. The ranch dressing is a must try on salads or as a dip. This is a great Family friendly neighborhood. While Bro J was visiting, we pushed him to choose what he was hungry for. We had already had tacos at Durango and a pizza from Pizzarelli''s and some beer out at Exit Six. On this occasion we were not up for a drive to a craft brewery, since they all are at some distance, so we had beers at Crafty Chameleon and went over to Mulligan's in search for a pub burger. This was a Friday night and they were busy. I suspect they always are on Fridays, but we waited and were awarded a good booth. Ms T and I had been here for the "famous" wings but it has been a long time. We decided to revisit the wings as an appetizer while waiting for our burgers. I eat wings seldom, which is a little odd since I pretty much like them all. The point is, I'm not very discriminating when it comes to wings, but I will have to say, I do like Mulligan's. They serve a lot of them. These were fresh, hot and juicy inside the light coating. I like that they are not over breaded. The sauce is classic Buffalo style with the hot sauce blended with plenty of butter. They are not over sauced and the vinegar in the hot sauce does not take your breath away. There was a little sauce in the bottom of the basket and I saved it for my burger. We each had 6 oz burgers and they were certainly fine if not remarkable. The beef was good quality, not dry or too lean and not greasy. The patties are handmade. We all thought a little salt grilled in would help, but we pretty much always say that. The beef had good flavor. Nevertheless, they were a good pub-style burger and the bun was not huge. They were cooked as we requested. Sides of fries and waffle fries were fine. I really liked their slaw. It probably has some sour cream in the dressing, which I normally don't care for, but this had a good sweet/sour balance. Mulligan's did a good job with all of it and I'm not sure why we don't go here more often. It was good food, not profound and they did not overthink the basics. The beer selection is lacking, but for some wings and/or a burger, it is a safe bet. Be aware you may have a little wait. Mulligan's is a strong three stars. p.s. - I know I am not the first to review Mulligan's. The Yelp entry with all of the reviews says they MOVED and thus made me use this entry with a slightly different address. This was not my first time here and I'm very much used to having to wait but unfortunately it was ridiculous this evening. We love this place wholeheartedly but we arrived around 6pm and were told it was going to be a 25-30 minute wait. We waited for about an hour, then asked how long it would be, was told around 20 more minutes. We decided then that we would be leaving, asked the hostess to remove us from the list. We used to love this place but due to the horrible system you have in place for seating we will not be back anytime soon. Readers beware: good food, be ready to wait. I can't express how much my wife and I love Mulligan's. The food is always great and we've been there many many times. The service is always very good. The soups change daily and are outstanding. The hot wings are perfect for my wife and me. Hot, but not too hot. Their beef stew is also a favorite of mine. All the sandwiches, wraps and salads I've had have been top notch. They also serve great drinks too. The atmosphere is great to watch sports or hang out with friends. They also have outdoor seating during good weather. I can't say I'm a fan of this place. The location is nice but the restaurant itself is doing it wrong. The wait took about forty minutes for a table of four. But it wasn't even crowded. When I looked over at the cleaning crew it looked like they where just standing around. When we got seated I ordered because I couldn't wait any longer. Got my food ate it but didn't enjoy. We have been coming here for years but it has been more and more difficult to get a decent table without a long wait. We arrived at 11:45 a.m. for lunch and were told it would be 10-15 minutes. After 15 minutes we were led to a tiny table when a booth was open. I asked if we could take the booth and they said that was for a larger party. Within a minute a party of 2 who had come in after us was seated in the booth. Ridiculous!!! I have never had a meal here that I didn't love, nor has my husband. It's absolutely amazing and the portions are very generous. I love the friendly atmosphere, great service and the delicious food they serve. I'm not a huge golf fan, to be honest, but I love that everything on their menu is themed .... It goes perfect! It's always nice to see an owner in a business too. Whenever we stop in he always is sure to stop by and say hello, and we appreciate that kind of service as that is very rare to see these days. My husband knows, don't tell me you're in West County without me asking for my waffle fries. Hehe. Only complaint is that they aren't out in O'Fallon near my home.
