Our monthly group dinner ended up on the patio here after being told that another place wanted to charge a fee to host our group of 16. Ok, don't understand that. TJ's Wings welcomed us and did a great job! Sarah, took care of us without missing a beat. She had a great attitude, she was quick and efficient, and kept all our tabs straight. No small feet. I ordered 6 wings and a salad combo, with ranch and Italian dressing on the side. Sarah was great as a server, she kept all of our orders straight, was friendly and fairly quick. Orders came out in a timely manner. salad and wings looked and tasted great! I remembered how I got hooked on lemon pepper wings. These were crispy and had just enough lemon and pepper, not greasy at all. The salad was a good salad with decent dressing. Great service, great food, welcoming atmosphere. Located in a small strip mall with limited parking in the lot. Came Friday night to order food to go. It was packed. A nice little corner neighborhood bar but family friendly. They had a live band and people dancing right as I walked in. So it's very loud and lively, but fun. I ordered 2 pizzas, 24 wings and toasted ravioli. Staff was so friendly while waiting. They kept checking in to make sure I was good while waiting. Didn't take too long, maybe 20 minutes or so. Well, I was quite disappointed. Pizza - 1 out of 5. It was very bland and for it to be a St. Louis style pizza, it was doughy. Frozen pizza is better. Toasted ravioli - 1 out of 5. It taste like the brand I but from the grocery store and throw in the air fryer. Wings - 5 out of 5. Now the wings were the best wings around. Crispy and lots of lemon pepper flavor. If I'd return, which is unlikely, it would be for drinks, fries and wings. read more

Of course everything here is based on personal experience and, true to form, so will my review be but I have had very limited interaction with TJ's so take this as you will. I've only ever come here for the wings, nothing more. I've never sat inside, I've never ordered anything else, I've never had more interaction with the staff other than to pick up my order. The wings have always been really good. MOST of the time I get the wings as ordered - cooked crispy. To us there's nothing worse than skin snot on chicken. We've tried several of the flavours and they've always been really good. Some more than others. We tried plain wings once to try the wings themselves and they were quite good. So, as far as wings go, TJ's Wings does not disappoint. read more

Been a couple times now. So far everything has been great! I wish they had a trashed wing or just a super crispy wing! Not sure why that is so hard to get in places. I've read bad reviews and maybe they were older, but the staff has been great, food is out timely. No real complaints other than it's pretty warm inside, not sure if the AC has been on the blink. Haven't been to TJ Wings in awhile and really enjoyed the outdoors seating during this C-19 period. Workers were masked up but the majority of clients were not....whatever...NBD. The died wings were good. I ordered hot but they really were more like mild+, the poppers were outstanding, and temperature hot. Salad and boneless wings were also good and easy for the utensils. Beer was nice and cold and served a few non-AB products. Some more crafty drafts would be really good and pop that score up to four. Server was pleasant and bubbly. Just had dinner. Food was great. Best wings in town. Bar was 1/4 full but service was slow. Waitress too busy talking to guys at the bar. Bar area had several guys at the end who were trashed and over served. We are talking 7:30 at night. Doing shots with bartender doesn't help. Was sat right away, with no menus, hostess said she would get us menus from the bar, but never brought any. Staff continued to walk past us, as we waited over 10 minutes. The waitress walked to the table behind us and started taking their order. My husband jumped up and told her that we had been there awhile with no one checking on us, getting us any drinks, not even menus. She said we could talk to the manager, as we walked out he stopped us and just said "I can take your order now". My husband said forget it! Then we left! Last time we were here (some time ago), we had good food but epic fail on the service, but we totally understand everyone has a bad day... Today we got the wild hair to try again and looks like things haven't changed. We sat outside with a mildly busy crowd, nothing over the top. Literally every table was complaining about the service and were getting up themselves to get napkins cutlery, etc off the cart (3 wait staff covered the patio). After not seeing our waiter for 25 mins (after an overall 50 minute wait to get wings and fries) we just left, writing this review 30 mins later after driving to a new restaurant up the road, ordering and eating there. read more

Love this place! Food is awesome! My wife loves the meatball sub with chips, and it's hard for me to pick just one thing, but I'll say the Big Mama Burger with steak fries. Spicy chicken sandwich is another favorite. They also offer a Sunday Brunch menu that is excellent! The Breakfast Casserole is a must. The service is great. They're helpful and have a fun attitude. Horrible horrible service! This is the SECOND time that we've come to dine in and this has happened. We were seated and not one staff member came to serve us or update us. We saw another table get seated 10 minutes after we had been there and waited on immediately. A waitress skipped past our table (that still had menus on it and no drinks) and went to another table (THAT HAD BEERS/DRINKS AND NO MENU) to ask if they've been helped yet. At this point it had been 20 minutes so we decided to leave instead of asking for a server to come to our table again. Last time we waited 20 minutes for a waitress as well, but stayed. TJ's Wings is a great neighborhood bar with good food. We enjoy sitting on their patio over the summer, and when it gets cold they enclose the patio for extra seating. They also have a nice fire pit in the back for guests to hang out by. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a fun place to hang out with friends and family. read more

Both the food and service were just OK but we were charged an "admin fee" (about $2.75?) without advance notice when we paid by credit card. Also, the credit card statement showed that they added another $1 without our authorization - the receipt showed $29.05 (included their "admin charge") plus $4 tip with a sum of $33.05 clearly showed o it, yet they charged $34.05 to the card. Not sure if this is their way to "earn" extra here and there but we will not go back there. It's not the small dollars that matter much. We have been going to Wings upon moving to the area 20 years ago. It's always been a favorite for dining and take out. Lately though, everything is just subpar. We haven't had a correct order on our take out orders in the last 4 times we've picked up to go. They've gotten rid of the teriyaki chicken wrap which seems odd because everyone we knew ordered and loved it. The ranch we so dearly love has been "off" the last few times. And the cost of the wings are really pretty outrageous. We are hoping after a break maybe when we come back we will find they just had a rough 2022 and things will get back on track. Would hate for a local place to start to go downhill and then fold. It's worth putting the energy into making a comeback. It used to be a fantastic place to meet friends and family! read more

I hate leaving reviews like this. Arrived at 10 On saturday to Loud music... So we headed outside to the tent wrapped patio.... , there were six of us. Our initial server was attentive, took my order of tj's nachos with NO JALEPENO, and the order of my friends. Brought us drinks and all was well. Then a blonde woman in a white boustier had been far overserved and came careening into our table and fell into a member of my party. Her escort guided her out to sit by the fire and we all watcher her almost fall into it twice, then they took off her shoes, moved seats three times, put her shoes back on, came back in. It was a show.... when all the food came out together... the server let me know that there were Jalepenos on my nachos, But the kitchen picked them off. I wasn't sending food back at 10:45 At night. So my jalepeno flavored nachos weren't good, and they didn't get finished. As I'm waiting to have someone bring me a check, another couple comes into the tented patio..to exchange shirts. Yep youread that correctly,... She took her shirt off and he put it on and vice versa. Black push up bra had seen better days. Checks finally come and during the 15 minutes we waited for the checks to be run..... the wardrobe couple came back in and switched back. This time she had a tamborine on her head. You may have passed this bar and grill many times and have never tried it. It is a fun neighborhood bar and grill. My favorite is the Swiss mushroom burger and steak fries. For an appetizer, we almost always get the buffalo chicken wings extra crispy. They are amazing! They also have hit honey wings and they are equally amazing. In warmer weather, they have outdoor seating on their patio. If it is packed, do wait because the wait is never as long as they say it is. Their walls are lined with flat screen TVs and often in Sunday's they have live music. It is a neighborhood favorite for us. Enjoy! read more

We placed an order for pick up. Once we got there, there were at least 10 people sitting at the bar, drinking and socializing as if nothing is going on. Gross negligence on the owners' part, for allowing group gatherings, total lack of respect for social distancing. Additonally, there was no organized method for customers to pick up their orders. We were looking forward to trying their food for the first time, but the blatant disregard for the safety and health of their customers did not give us much confidence on their food prep. Everything we had was really good. I can't say no to wings plus wings is literally in the restaurant name so of course we had to get it as an appetizer (another word I can't say no to). The wings did not disappoint! No way one can mess up waffle fries either so thumbs up on that also. My patty melt was a little greasy but then again, why would a patty melt not be? So as I'm writing this I am realizing that's my problem not TJ's lol. But 4 star nonetheless because I just don't feel 5 star in my soul. Looking forward to going back though! read more

Been going to TJ's for over 10years and it's always a good time. However, it had been a while and I decided to meet a friend there for dinner. First the positives, the guy who greeted us was friendly and found us a table on the patio even though it was a busy Friday night. The waitress was nice and clearly had too many tables but since finding help is hard we were patient and ignored the unusually slow service. We were there to enjoy the patio, food and have a good time. Overall the food was good, sad they no longer offer side salads but I tried the coleslaw for the first time ever. And also the last time ever. It was nice that they turned on the heaters as the night went on and it started to get cold. When we were ready to go we each got our bills and both noticed that we had 2 payment options. Cash and credit card. If we chose to pay with credit card it would be an additional $1.90. I don't recall seeing any signs or anything letting us know when we walked in that we would be charged that fee. I don't usually carry cash, so I had no choice. Stupid fee because I know they're padding the bill. Then my friend noticed she was being charged $1.50 extra for her "to go" order of wings. So she not only got charged $1.90 for paying with credit but also $1.50 for placing a to-go order after having spent all night at their restaurant eating and drinking. Next time, if there even is a next time, order all of your to go food at the table. Then ask for boxes and pack it up yourself. I understand that businesses are hurting, but everyone is struggling. Maybe TJ's should remember that before adding all these extra fees in addition to price hikes. With that said, I do like this place and I've always enjoyed the patio. And I don't want any restaurant to go out of business. Just not sure I'll go back. Lots of other places like Poor Richards, Bobby's, Truemans, CB Chophouse. This place is a joke. A couple of weeks ago, I called around 4:30pm on Wednesday night to place a pick up order. The phone rang and rang about 10 times before I finally hung up and re-dialed. The next call, a girl immediately picked up the phone and said "we're busy and short staffed, please hold!!!" and slammed the phone down before I even had time to respond. After waiting 10+ minutes on hold, I hung up again and tried calling back only to get endless rings again with no answer. I finally decided to just drive to the restaurant to place my pick up order. I walked in and there was maybe five customers sitting at the bar, and no one in the dining room. The place was dead so I'm not sure why they weren't answering their phone, and why they lied and said they were busy? There was no one standing at the hostess stand but there was four young teenage girls standing in the back of the restaurant on their phones, and talking to each other. Once someone finally acknowledged me, I placed my order, two large house salads with ranch, boneless wings with blue cheese, and a "playoff burger" with skinny fries. The girl taking my order rudely said "this is TJ's...where do you think you are because we don't have that burger?!" After showing her the "playoff burger" listed on their menu under "specials" on their website she said "oh, we don't have that anymore." No apology for snapping at me. Since they didn't have that burger anymore, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger instead. I waited about 20min, left with the food and got home only to see that my order was completely wrong. My bacon cheeseburger had no bacon on it, and was literally just the beef patty and cheese. No lettuce, tomato, onion or condiments. I had ordered skinny fries and they gave me steak fries, and there was no dressing for my salads or my wings. And the "large" house salads that were $7 each (literally just iceberg lettuce) were small and the size of my hand. Photo for reference.
