Once a year, I go to Angola on business. My friends and I have been eating here for over 10 years. The food is always great and the service is wonderful. Over the years we have tried most of the menu. We have not found a bad item, yet. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is friendly and keeps things lively. The beer selection is very good. We have been at Mulligan's a few times St. Patrick's Day. A great time indeed! The locals love this place. read more

Food was good without being overly pricey. They did wonderful with our group of 14. We had children and they were able to accommodate their wants. Was a great volume inside to be able to have a conversation without trouble. Only thing it's a flight of stairs to get there, one in our party was elderly and worried about her ability up and down. read more

My family and stumbled upon this place during our stay at Pokagan State Park. There is a great deck overlooking the golf course where you can sit if the weather is nice. The inside seating is not quite as scenic, but comfortable and clean. The food is pretty good with a lot of American and Italian options. And, the service is friendly and helpful. read more

Nice place to stop on a road trip through the area, not far from the highway, friendly people, nice environment, and also great food. The lady friend recommends the Mulligan Salad and I did enjoy my steak salad. Would have loved to have tried the crab mushrooms, maybe next time! :-) read more

I went to mulligans on a Monday and I sat for at least 45 minutes to get just ok food. I come to Angola frequently and have never tried mulligans I was extremely disappointed in the staff and food quality. There are also almost no vegetarian options. Overall I do not sigust coming here it was a bad experience and I hope I never come back to this pricey ok restaurant. read more

Recently had dinner with a group at Mulligan's and we all were very disappointed in our food. I ordered Almond grouper and the nuts were not Almonds. My husband ordered another beer and the one he received was not what the first beer he was drinking. The service was very slow. My wife and I have been staying at the Potawatomi Inn at at Pokagon State Park near Angola, IN. We went to Mulligan's to celebrate our 42nd anniversary. Laura met us at the entrance and it was all up hill from there. She was a wonderful waitress and took great care of us. The food was delightful. To start off the meal my wife began with a gin martini which was as good as they get. Then she moved on to a Caesar Salad with wonderful undertones of Parmesan cheese and anchovies. I started with a perfect Manhattan which was very good and then a spinach salad. The salad was great with an unexpected treat of water chestnuts to compliment the mushrooms, bacon, hard boiled egg, Parmesan cheese and fresh spinach. Rather than the usual sweet salad dressing I had a ranch dressing that went quite well with the salad. My wife's rib eye steak, which she asked for "rare" was perfect and well flavored, while the lemon pepper cod I ordered could not have been better. My cod was accompanied by fresh steamed broccoli done just right, steamed but not to a mushy consistency, still a little crispness to it but nicely hot. All in all, we could not have had a better dinner and the price was very good considering the quality and quantity of the food. A thumbs up!! read more

I often have dined at Mulligan's and considered it superior. However, on Friday, July 17, we had a major disappointment. My crab cakes were way too salty and the martini was watered. Our waiter seemed to be confused. My two guests also found the food and service lacking. read more

Gave it another try because of Groupon. Nothing has changed since our last visit a year ago when it was overpriced and old/dingy. The Coconut Shrimp had 1 burnt out of 4, and nothing special. The onion soup tasted like there was a cup of salt in there, and left much untouched with no questioning of the waiter. Rib eye was OK, but how could you wreak a steak? Not so for the tilapia and crab cake. Same "cook" who only knows how to use the salt shaker. Pretty much inedible. No dessert, but still a $75 tab for 2. Without many good restaurants in Angola the bar is pretty low, but this is the bottom of a bad lot. read more

Stopped last night for dinner. Good food, good service. Five people in our party, five different entrees. Food arrived in a timely manner prepared with all the special requests fulfilled. Very relaxed atmosphere. $26 for two without alcoholic beverages. You might want to consider making reservations during golf season. read more

One of, if not our favorite, go to places for a good dinner. We have been here many times! Occasionally I am fortunate enough to have a Groupon coupon that makes it a great value. Went to Mulligans for a birthday party on June 22 . Called ahead to tell someone that eight people or a couple more may join the party. I was told that they are really busy on Wed. I also was told that they would see what they could do. So here we go,but we ended up with 14 people. (at that time only three other people was there eating.) A waiter went CRAZY and being a REAL JERK he made several rude comments and I was told that he couldn't set up for more people. Again very rude. I told him that if it was going to be that bigger problem we would go somewhere else. He stated a few more rude comments and walked off not to return. Two waitress came to our table and was VERY nice and set up tables for all of us. and we tipped the waitress very well (SO THERE YOU JERK you screwed up) Here is the kicker. The time we was there only five other people came in to eat. The owner needs to talk to this waiter, only if he wants to keep customers.Or maybe the owner just don't need the money. In April 20 we had a 91 birthday party for my mother at Mulligans and the jerk waited on us and at that time he was rude but nothing like yesterday. I have a birthday in July and guess where we are not going. read more
