This spot is a gem. Currently staying at the hotel upstairs. What lacks in amenities, compensates in a historic hometown feel. All the workers are a bunch of sweethearts too. I'd highly recommend!

Heart of Moorefield. Lovely and historic. Great food, excellent and friendly service. Good value.

Mullin's 1847 is in itself a fascinating museum plus s fine dining restaurant experience! I throughly enjoyed a 8oz Ribeye steak with shrimp that was accompanied by some fantastic mashed potatoes! I sat inside first then opted to move out to their patio on a perfect outdoor weather day. My waitress was delightful and very helpful. The whole experience was very pleasant and a perfect 5/5 stars

My buddy had the meatloaf. I took a sample and I'm getting it next time I come back!

We stopped in for dinner on our way back from Cass WV to the DC metro area. The hostess was great, seating us right away and then reseating us on her own initiative when some little kids got noisy. The food was great. I had the open face turkey special, since Thanksgiving is coming... Other members of my group had the meatloaf, which was amazing... Meatloaf is one of those dishes that tells you all you need to know about a cook and kitchen - and this set a new standard. And to top it off, they had apple pie... so this road trip was a complete success.

We were hesitant to try this place, but we were so glad that we did! The restaurant has such interesting history, friendly service, and delicious food! We took photos of the bread rolls "stamped" with "1847." They even had a nice drink list! Moorefield is a tiny little mountain town and Mullin's 1847 makes it a must-try if you're in the area!

Awesome Rustic Atmosphere! It was busy when we arrived around lunchtime on a Sunday and they got a table cleaned and seated us quickly. Friendly staff, big menu, & delicious food!

Reuben's are my typical go to sandwich places, and I honestly have to say this was one of the best ones I've ever had in my lifetime. The meat was so tender it just melted as you ate it. My wife raved about the meatloaf she ordered also. We grabbed two slices of pie from the case to go after dinner. The ambience was incredible. The waitress was great as well. We are definitely looking forward to making trips out here to eat again very soon!

We were greeted and told we could sit anywhere. It was around 4pm so it was pretty empty. We sat at a booth and ordered drinks. Our server was friendly. I will say there was no music playing and we were sitting near the kitchen. We could hear basically everything going on and the other couple in the rooms conversation, which was a bit odd. We ordered the fried chicken based on reviews and it was delicious. I would highly recommend getting the fried chicken. The green beans were also really good. I can't really speak on anything else. The place is pretty large, before we left we took a walk around and found a pretty cool bar in the back and some patio seating. All in all I would compare this to a typical country roadside diner. Good homestyle cooking at good prices.

A group of 16 of us booked for the weekend and I honestly can't think of enough great things to say. Seriously, everything about this place was AMAZING! I organized the trip, so I got to work with one of the owners, Jesse, to get everything set up. He was helpful, responsive, accommodating, and really kind. I organize a lot for my friends and myself, and this was one of the easiest. Upon arrival we were checked in by the other owner, Gary, who immediately made us feel like we were at home. He gave us a wonderful tour of the property and told us everything we needed to know for a wonderful stay. This property is nestled in the hills of WV and the views are STUNNING! Every space and room is beautifully appointed, really leaning into the upscale rustic vibe you'd expect in a mountain retreat. So many beautiful nooks and crannies to sit and read or play games or just nap. The pool and hot tub are gorgeous and Logan at the pool bar will take amazing care of you! They provide a complimentary breakfast of freshly cooked eggs, meats, and biscuits/scones. The lunch and dinner menus are varied and everything we had was delicious. Our servers, Rain (spelling ??) and Angie were stellar and the ambience was just perfect. Every single one of us left feeling refreshed and we were all sad to leave. Do yourself a favor and make the trek out to Lost River and treat yourself. This place is amazing and I'm already planning my next trip here with my partner.

A winding road through a rocky valley with a mountain stream that flows to the Lost River. Then you turn into the Guesthouse and the stunning main building and cute cabins are so perfectly placed on the property with lovely landscaping. Walk into the main lobby to be greeted by Gary, one of the owners. He was super pleasant and took us on a tour of the property pointing out the dining room, bar, pool (although it was still closed for winter), hot tub and sauna, gym, multiple media rooms, game rooms and lounge areas, and then our room in the Hobson Cabin. The room was well appointed and clean. The shower was beautiful and had great water pressure and temperature. The balcony had wonderful views of the parks close by. A country breakfast is served daily at 9 and is a great start to the day. The dining room is open in the evening for drinks and dinner with a menu for anyone! Gary and Jesse are always close by if you ever need anything and make you feel most welcome. We can't wait to visit again in the summer so we can make full use of the pool and enjoy some nearby hiking!
