I am very impressed with the service offered by multi-tech. They were speedy and did an excellent job fixing the brake pads on my 2007 Porsche Cayman. The price was fair and included all the parts for the replacement. This was all done during the COVID-19 quarantine but that didn't stop them from fixing my car. I was quite disappointed to learn that this shop does NOT provide "labor only" oil change jobs. In order to save money and ensure the compatibility and quality of the stuff that goes in my car, I bought a Genuine Toyota 90915-YZZF1 Oil Filter ($8.86) as well as five quarts of Castrol 03128C EDGE High Mileage 5W-30 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil ($19.31) off Amazon hoping that Multi-Tech can accommodate my vehicle servicing needs. But after explaining this to the person who answered the phone, I was told that they do not provide "labor only" work, i.e., they will do an oil change on my car if and ONLY IF they provide BOTH labor and materials. If the reason for doing so is related to potential legal liability issues, a simple fix would be to include a separate written disclaimer (or incorporated in the invoice) which I would be more than happy to sign. FYI, another auto repair shop that does not provide "labor only" work is AAA Auto Repair Center Fairfield. But several others I have contacted thus far do. So, if you want to: a) avoid getting gouged for parts AND, b) take control of the quality of the stuff that goes in your car, I strongly recommend taking your vehicle someplace else. I was a bit skeptical because I have never gone to a private auto body shop. However, Jefferey the owner was very honest and informative as far as the services and why it's needed. I have a European car so I wasn't sure if I could trust just any body shop. When we pulled up, there was a bunch of European cars and already, I felt comfortable because that shows he's a trusted shop. I'm so glad to have found him on Yelp. He quoted us and aside from the other services that we will need in the future, the price was very reasonable and he gave us a discount because we found him on Yelp. He responds very quickly. I tried this local shop bc of the island connection and it's not a chain. Brought in my van this week for a tune up and today for an oil change for the other vehicle. They drive you home and pick you up when done. Prices are reasonable. Both vehicles are working great. The only thing I didn't like was: I really like knowing how much I am paying, I ALWAYS ASK.. Yes they do give a quote... but don't call to let you know if anything extra is needed or done, making the balance more. read more

My 2001 PT cruiser's timing belt broke on the way to work. I saw the reviews for Multitech auto repair we're good and thought I would take a chance. John gave a decent quote. He tried to get the part earlier but was unable to. He got it that evening and told me it would be ready tomorrow. He called me 9 o'clock that night to tell me that he finished the repair. It was impressive that he would keep working until the job was done. He even called the next day to make sure the car was still running OK. Great follow up! If I could give them zero stars, I would. They completely ripped me off even after I came back with my second vehicle. Way overcharged for labor and the parts, which were nothing but minor work. I know it's COVID but damn! I came to them in good faith and all they did was try to get over on me; which they did. $900 for basic maintenance on a 2002 Lexus and $700 for some spark plugs on a Mini Cooper. Never going back there again. Couldn't even provide me with proper paper work or any real details on my invoice for the service. My fault for thinking they were going to help me out. read more

Thank you Jeff! My BMW 535 was dead for about 2 months and a few mechanics couldn't address the issue. Jeff got it done! After this experience I understand what it means when people say "it's cheaper to hire a professional ". Here is my story: My BMW 535 had a fuel problem that would shut off the car at any given time. On several occasions it died on my on the fast lane of the freeway (not fun). The first time around a $200 tow got me 3 miles to the nearest mechanic. Mechanic #1 suggested a fuel filter. Several hundred dollars later I had the same exact problem. Another expensive tow got me to mechanic number #2. After the diagnostic, I was told that the low pressure fuel pump was at fault. This repair put me back another $1000. Once again, I got maybe 20 miles at most before dying on the freeway! Tow #3 back to the mechanic and a suggestion of now changing the high pressure fuel pump under the hood....this useless repair cost me another $1700! At this point I was thinking of maybe junking the car. Before making the call to pick n pull I called my friend Fatima (BMW owner) to see if she has had similar issues. She referred me to Jeff. Thank god that was my last tow! Jeff figured out the problem by end of the day, ordered the part from BMW and the car was on the road the next day! Very professional and great customer service. They even accepted my warranty coverage and dealt with the company as much as they could. It doesn't hurt that my car is displayed on their Yelp page either. Pretty good place. Brakes were shuddering so we stopped here. Left the car. He replaced rear brakes. Came back and picked it up. On the way home got on the freeway and still shuddering. Called him and took it back. He fixed it, but charged us more. Was reasonable but inconvenient to go back again and had to replace front and rear instead of just front. read more
