You write your name and table number and choose rice/brown rice /fried rice or special order. I suggest to ask the rice on the side (optional) then you go the bar and fill the ingredients make sure to put the sauces on the side.you also can add dried spices which I did. The best one I had were onion,scallion,beef,teriyaki sauce,garlic oil,garlic powder and white paper. You can adjust the saltines on your table. Yummy Bowl opened approximately one month ago. It's located in the Parkridge Center retail complex in Manassas, VA. It's in the building previously occupied by Uno Pizza. I was intrigued when I saw that they are a Mongolian Barbecue joint - as I got to experience what I believe is some pretty close to authentic Mongolian BBQ back in the 1970s when we lived on an Air Force Base on Guam. At least a couple of times a month - the NCO Club on Anderson AFB would have a Friday night Mongolian BBQ special - and man did we love that! At Yummy Bowl - to start, you fill out a little card and put your table # on it and your name - and what kind of rice you want. I opted for "no rice." You then go down the line and select the veggies and proteins you want (stuff as much as you can into the bowl). Then select your sauces that your food will be cooked in. You put the sauces in soufflé cups on the side - then drop your bowl off at the end of the line - and go and sit down and wait for them to cook your meal and deliver it to your table. I selected green beans, onions, broccoli, bean sprouts, mushrooms, corn, jalapeños, pork, and chicken - and three slices to cook my food in. My bowl was delivered to my table a few minutes later - fresh and hot! I requested some chopsticks (the default is they provide you with a fork) and a side of Sriracha sauce - which my server Maggie promptly delivered. Bowl of food was tasty! I am sure I will be back! for a Saturday evening, we were seated promptly and immediately got our drink orders in. After a quick instruction, we hit the line. great selection of veggies, but the protein variety really surprised me. the lamb and beef mix i made ended up suburb. The "unlimited" bowl option is a great value, as I chose to make a couple of small bowls to test several different mixes and sauces. great personable service, good value, and nice separated dining areas. Not much working more like just talking. It's 930 and I Just left and not 1 person even came by the table. For my first visit I ordered in. I was seated and given a card to write my name and check which starch I wanted ;brown or white rice). I chose Brown Rice, ordered my drink and was sent to the fresh food station to fill my bowl. There was the standard fresh vegetables: broccoli, zucchini, onions, carrots, mushrooms, Napa and American cabbage, next were the noodles: rice noodles, Soba noodles, Lo Mein Noodles. The next area of the station contains animal proteins: pork, white or dark meat chicken, white fish, imitation crab, shrimp, smoked sausage, beef and whole eggs. When you slide down there are several sauces with labels that describe the flavor. You scoop the sauces in a cup and hand your bowl over to one of the cooks to stir fry your food. When your food is cooked your server will bring it to your table or to the check out counter if you've ordered take out. Take out is weighed and you pay a per lb price. It's nice that our area finally has a restaurant like this. I experienced the Ghengis Khan restaurant like this in FL years ago and i loved it. Give Yummy Bowl a try. read more
