Mun Korean Steakhouse is easily one of my new favorite Korean BBQ restaurants in LA. The meat was extremely high quality, tender, and flavorful, especially the ribeye and short ribs. I loved that the staff cooked everything for us and asked what temperature we preferred. The banchan was fresh and delicious, and I especially enjoyed the japchae, bulgogi patties, sweet potato mozzarella sticks, Mun's stew, and crispy chicken wings with cheese fondue. The service we received from April was excellent, and the entire experience felt perfect for a date night, birthday, or special celebration. I highly recommend visiting!

Great for big groups. If you eat inside you can get the ramen too but they have to bring it inside for you which is fine! The kid loved the ramen bar and ate EVERY PIECE OF MEAT. The food quality is pretty good but it is a bit expensive. Great for special Occasions and I love that the staff cooks the meat for you.

I've been to Mun a couple times, once to celebrate a birthday where we were given the entire upstairs area, and once at the end of November for a double date. Years ago I remember Mun was always very busy and almost more of a party atmosphere. The second time I came it seemed half empty, but maybe everyone was out of town for the holidays. Both times our server was able to have a shot of soju with us. We ordered the beef tartare and the OMG set menu for 4 people for $210 as well as some drinks and soju. We ended up getting hooked up with an extra bottle of soju and the beef tartare for free. The servers will cook and cut the meat for you. Mun has always been a good experience if you're willing to pay more for a slightly more premium feeling Korean BBQ experience that's a tier below somewhere like Daedo, but it can be pricey if you're not prepared!

A K-BBQ restaurant with an amazing atmosphere! The beef is especially delicious, and the cheese fondue dip the meat into is an absolute game changer--such a perfect combo. Their galbitang and yukgaejang are a must-try. Honestly, the broth is even better than many Korean restaurants that specialize in soups. After grilling the meat, pouring that warm, comforting soup over rice is pure perfection. Unlike many K-BBQ spots that are loud and crowded, this place has a much calmer vibe, making it great for family dinners as well.

Not sure if he was a host or manager or whatever but the boy who sat us was kinda rude. He looked so dismissive and just looks like he doesn't wanna work. Anyways, bad first impressions aside, came here for a birthday celebration with friends. We parked in a nearby lot for $20 on a weekend night. It was pretty yummy but a little on the pricy side considering theres 100s of options in that area. The server cooks for you so that's great. The side dishes tasted good. We were a large party so we ordered 2 different menu combo sets. The sets we got were the OMG (feeds 4) and the Feast (feeds 3). We also ordered the beef tartar but it was ok, I would not get it again. The cuts for our combos were delicious though. The servers were attentive so nothing was burnt or overcooked. I also got a yuzu highball, it was yummy. The slushie at the end of the meal was a great way to end the meal! Overall, pretty good. I'd come back..

Mun Steakhouse was absolutely amazing. My friend and I came here on a Tuesday night we made reservations however they were still willing to take us right away. My friend and I opted in for the date night special with came with three amazing beef choices. It also comes along with many side dishes. All three beef selections were amazing. They were also fresh well cooked and ready to indulge! My favorite would definitely have to be the marinated ribs or the ribeye. Highly recommend recommended! Our servers Deborah and Derrick were amazing. They always came to ensure that our service and experience with nothing less than perfect and that our meat was cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend coming here if you're ever in Ktown. Also to know if you're a dog lover, you're also dog friendly and offer outdoor seating ! A true gem of k town!

I've been to a lot of Korean BBQ spots around LA, but MUN Korean Steakhouse in Koreatown easily stands out as one of the best. From the moment you walk in, the place feels upscale and modern -- definitely more of a luxury vibe than your typical BBQ joint. I ordered the Date Night Combo along with the Kimchi Bomb Rice, and both were phenomenal. The meats were top-quality, beautifully marbled, and cooked right at the table by the staff -- perfectly tender and juicy every time. The Kimchi Bomb Rice was the perfect mix of flavor and comfort, and I honestly could've eaten a whole bowl of it by myself. Service was amazing too -- super attentive without being overbearing. You can really tell they take pride in every detail here, from presentation to atmosphere. If you're looking for a Korean BBQ experience that's a step above the rest, MUN Korean Steakhouse is absolutely worth it.

AN ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS EXPERIENCE IF YOU WANT QUALITY MEAT IN A KOREAN STEAKHOUSE PROS----- Meat: All cuts of the meat we had were so fresh and flavorful. You definitely receive a high quality. The sides were also very delicious as well. My favorites were the short ribs. We had 4 people and the OMG combo was the perfect amount of food. Ambiance: This is a restaurant on the smaller side so make reservations to ensure a table. It's a lively place with good energy and vibes of people having a good time. The table settings are beautiful. Grill: This is one of the best grilling set ups I have seen. Absolutely no smoke smell on our clothes when we left, the exhaust fan kept us all clean. Service: Very attentive and quick service. Our waiter cooked our meat to perfection CONS----- Nothing

The meat here is excellent, no joke. We had a rotation of staff members cooking different cuts of meat from the OMG set for four, and almost everything was cooked to perfection. The ribeye and beef belly were my favorites. The bad: The service was a mixed bag. The staff were attentive when it came to cooking the meat, but they lacked hospitality and attentiveness in the rest of our dining experience. For example, when we first arrived, we were told to leave in 2 hours before we even sat down. Another downside is the huge vent coming out from underneath the table. While it does its job well, it takes up more than a foot of leg space, and at the smaller tables, it's quite uncomfortable. Also, as usual, parking is terrible in Ktown.

We walked into this place expecting a good meal, but the first thing that happened? No greeting, no "welcome"--just a staff member rushing up and barking: "Two hours only! You have to leave in two hours!" Really? We hadn't even sat down yet and they were already trying to push us out. There were four of us, and we ordered the OMG set. The food itself? No complaints. The meat was tender, fresh, and perfectly grilled. Quality-wise, it was great. But the service? Absolutely awful. Not all the side dishes were refillable, and even when they were, we had to wait forever for anyone to notice. Our water was empty for over thirty minutes before someone finally came over--only because I flagged them down. When they weren't grilling meat, every staff member was glued to their phones behind the bar, ignoring customers like we didn't exist. This is apparently their idea of "service." And yet, they still expect a tip? What a joke. Even when we asked simple questions while they were grilling, we were met with cold stares and curt "yes" or "no" answers. It felt like we were bothering them just by asking. So yes--the meat might be good, but with service this bad? I'm never coming back.

Started the New Year off with my favorite type of food... Korean food!!!! Annnd on day 1 of the year I found my new favorite Korean Steakhouse @munkoreansteakhouse I'II take that as a sign it's going to be a great year! Mun Korean Steakhouse is not your regular everyday Korean BBQ place. It's an upscale elevated experience. The meat is such good quality it melts in your mouth... even the medium well pieces my sister chose (Ava and I are medium rare girlies) We arrived right at opening and the place quickly filled up. We made a reservation... I recommend you do the same. You know the food is going to be good when the kimchi is on point. 10/10 totally recommend Thank you @piggie_la for recommending.

Came here on a Saturday night since I was craving KBBQ. Had to pay for parking at a nearby plaza because it's LA. It was packed inside so we were given outdoor patio seating, which was the better choice of seating because you sit under a big tree strung with lights. The ambience is serene and very nice. We did notice that the place is right next to a residential neighborhood, so we're curious how they feel about the constant noise and smell of KBBQ. We chose the Date Night (serves 2) combo for $110 which comes with banchan and three servings of meat: prime beef belly, prime ribeye, marinated boneless short ribs. The prime beef belly was by far the best meat because it pairs best with the sauce given. There's a person that cooks the high quality meat for you, so it's cooked well each time + they use bread to soak up the fat. It was super filling and everything was delicious. Would definitely recommend for a night out if you're looking to splurge a bit.
