Horrible Service. The hours of operation is stated online 7:30 am- 5 pm Mon-thurs. I arrive at 7:30 am Weds. The shop was not open. there was a note on the door with the Same hours of operation. I waited until about 8:35 am when someone finally strolled in to open the door. I told the guy that I would like a diagnosis of my car he advised me that is was by appointment only. I asked if I could make an appointment. He told me I couldn't because he didn't know how to make an appointment. He gave me his managers business card and added he didn't know why he wasn't in yet. I tossed the business card in the trash on the way out. A waste of an hour and half, that I'm not getting back. read more

Jim the Owner and Jocelyn the Office Manager are delightful people. They always provide time to talk to you with genuine interest. I wish I didn't have say that my experience was less than satisfactory. I took my 06 M3 in for a 60K scheduled valve adjustment and Vanos rebuild which was $2200.00. That also included a differential fluid service. Got the car back 3 weeks later to have a burning plastic smell and smoke coming from under the hood! I returned the car to Munich Motorsport. Differential still making the noise, fluid was again checked\added to. I was presented a huge piece of plastic related to the valve cover and told it was the reason the car was smoking and smelled of burnt plastic. The car never exuded these symptoms previously. Initially they were going to charge me for the additional part and fluids, but Jim was present and rescinded the charges after I presented my argument. After getting the car back a second time, I noticed the smell of burnt plastic persisted! Additionally, on a particularly hot day with the air conditioner on, the car stalled. Three times in traffic!. I called and spoke to Jocelyn who was receptive and asked me to bring the car in AGAIN so they could look at it. After considering the results of the previous visits I have decided not to return for a third visit. Update 8-19-21 I now have a spot in my garage where fluid is leaking from my car, I think it is oil! Its only a few drops but it concerns me. Im going to have another shop take a look at it. I speculate that is where the burning smell is coming from. Update: 9-11-21 I got my M3 back today from another shop who performed the repairs for about $559.75. Turns out the valve cover gasket(s) were not seated properly and were leaking oil on the exhaust, causing the burning smell. This is a well documented issue in that a torque procedure needs to be followed to seat properly. First a hand tight, wait an hour then torque from the center working your way out. Apparently this was not done resulting in the oil leak and consequentially the smoke and burning. smell. I have submitted my invoice to Jim at Munich Motorsports for reimbursement and will remove this post if he is amicable. Update: 9-18-21 My certified letter requesting reimbursement goes unanswered a week later. I can only assume at this point that Jim has no intention of reimbursing me for his failure to resolve the issues Munich Motorsports introduced to my car. I am disappointed and surprised that an organization that has been in business so long would treat their customers with such disregard. I assure you the media campaign I am about to start will cost them a lot more than $560.00. Update: 9-27-21 I just received notification from the BBB that MM responded and refuses to reimburse me for my loss. They stated they have a warranty on all repairs, and I did not provide them a third opportunity to resolve the problem. I will tell everyone I know about my experience. read more

I just got my car back from Munich Motorsport, and I cannot tell you how incredibly happy I am! From start to finish (I really can't say "finish" because they are now officially going to be overseeing my car FOREVER! ), my experience with Munich Motorsport (MM) was as smooth and easy as having a car worked on can possibly get. My car not only needed very $$ work done, but it wasn't very obvious what was going on, at all. The guys at MM took their time to make sure they went about fixing the issue one step at a time, the absolute most inexpensive way possible. All the while, patiently explaining every minute detail to me along with every possible option as if I was a little sister, or a daughter, and not once was I treated as if I may not understand what was going on because of being female. Munich Motorsport makes going through a very expensive auto fix (not expensive because they charge a lot, because BMW wanted twice as much and MM explained how and what was not needed to be done, and why) not wondering if you can trust the people working on your car, or not. One thing I find about this whole process, is that when you know without a shadow of a doubt, that you're not being taken advantage of, the price tag is A LOT easier to swallow. MM kept me updated every single step of the way. When my car was ready, they also hooked me up with a guy they work with that does an AMAZING detail, the whole buffing, leather seat deal, everything. When I picked my car up, it was as if I just purchased a new car. And now, it drives like one. WOW!! I'm so in Love be with my car again!!! If they close up shop, I'm selling my car. Took my 2018 M3 to replace and code new OEM headlights - they talk me It will take 1 to 2 days Call me my second day in saying they need more time because the can't code one side - they Give me too many excuses To keep the car more days until They figure it out- told them I need my car back And I will just take it if they can't cannot figure out how to code OEM headlights Also when they put the liner fender Back they didn't put two screws back to car -something simple !! I never thought this place can't not do the right Job and miss 2 screws and not available to code my new OEM headlights- and they state bmw professionals That same day I fund one guy Instagram name Marius that can code bmw headlights remotely w juts a computer- he code my m3 with no problems in 20 minutes and MUNICH couldn't figure out- When I call to make the appointment I asked them what's the price to get the headlights replaced ans coding $340 installation + $120 coding after I went to pick up the car they increase the price to $640.00 (double) why I don't know - I don't recommend this place Specially if you have a nice nice car and u want a good place to trust NOT then !! I just had my BMW towed from Munich Motorsport. Someone there told me they could look at my car after another repair place said it was unrepairable. So I had it towed to Munich. I got a call from Munich the next day telling me to pick up the car because they didn't work on 1990 cars. I explained that I had it towed there based on what one of their employees told me. He said it was a classic car so it was worth looking at. The fellow I was talking to, who turned out to be the owner, told me that it didn't matter who said what there. He said that he made the decisions there and his decision was to not touch the car. This is not the way to do business. I was out towing charges for 2 trips: to there and out of there without the car even being looked at. The owner should have stood behind his employee, apologized and either reimbursed me for towing or, at the very least, waited to talk to the guy I might of spoken with who was out of town until tomorrow. Instead he refused to look at the car and wanted it off his lot. One thing he did do was to refer me to another shop. I give him credit for that. I don't know if he's new or has owned Munich Motorsport all along. I always liked Munich. Friends had recommended it so I had the dealer take my car there for an inspection before I bought it back in 1994 and I initially had it serviced there until I found a place closer to my home. Had my BMW worked on there and I can honestly say my car is running like brand new! Jim was honest and did a great job I couldn't be happier. Bought a Mini after arriving in Georgia. Purchased from a not so reputable dealership. Brought it here one month after getting it. Fantastic service. Treated very professionally and they fixed the problem. Unfortunately had to bring car back two weeks later for a completely different problem. Again they fixed it at a really great price and treated me terrifically. Finally monday the check engine light came on and thinking something awful was going on, I took it back yet again. it was a gas cap issue. They fixed it and didn't make me feel stupid. I have never received a more professional, effective, and personable service before. This auto shop is extremely capable and professional, and I have been serviced egregiously more than once so far. Moreover, I was impressed by how much Jim helped me when my BMW's transmission broke down: he tried repeatedly to fix it, but unfortunately it was completely broken so it ended up needing a completely new transmission, and then what Jim did was incredible: 1) he did not charge me for ANYTHING even though he put in many labor hours and parts trying to fix it, then 2) he told me he could change it and charge me, but he instead advised me on how to try to get some support from BMW N.A.via an official BMW dealer. Outcome: leveraging his suggestions I managed to have BMW change the entire transmission for a fraction of the price, though having the job done at the dealership and therefore taking no business to Jim. His help and kindness are truly unmatched and I will be going to this auto shop as long as I have a BMW! Thank you, Jim! read more
