I was hoping to designate this end hall (closer to the entry of suite) to a shoe closet, and Hillary helped me properly select and design the space. The two closets we considered are similar in size, but one is slightly wider. We went back and forth between these two closets, seeing how/where we could maximize the shoe capacity. We also debated between the Senzafine and the Ubek systems, and found out the Senzafine worked better in either of these two closets. After some time of playing with different ideas, we chose the slightly smaller closet and the Senzafine Night Walk-in System with inclined shoe shelves. The shoe shelves design has the option of LED lighting per shelf. With our final design, we managed to create a space that would accommodate nearly 80 pairs of shoes in one closet. I was so thrilled. The shoe closet and install is a 5month process (not including August/December). I am looking forward to the install in November-ish! Next, we are designing my son's large closet for clothes, shoes, and misc.; and, two guest bedroom closets. HIGHLY recommend Hillary and crew from Poliform! We loved meeting Hillary and working with her, and look forward to designing the rest of the closets with her!

We needed a bigger couch and I was dreading the purchase. I hopped online to do some research, and this brand popped up. I saw that they built their couches and Europe and had won numerous engineering and design awards. Chicago has their only showroom in the US at the moment. I couldn't find much other info online so I made a call to visit the showroom. Victor met my husband and I and proceeded to blow us away with the presentation of the Cloods sofa system. It's totally modular, has pet safe fabric, and all covers are removable for easy washing. The cushions have springs inside which is incredibly rare for a couch at this price point. Purchasing a couch from them was a no brainer. There's nothing with this build quality at this price point in the US market. Plus, the flexibility of the modular system means we can always rearrange or purchase additional pieces if needed. Also, it's super easy to move to our next place. We love our Feydom couch and look forward to using it for many years.

I…read morecan't speak to the 57th Street Bookcase and Cabinets business, but I can very strongly say I do NOT recommend 57st Design. This is a difficult review to write, as the dresser I ended up ordering and receiving from 57st Design is BEAUTIFUL and exactly what I wanted. However, the customer service is SORELY lacking and the journey to receiving this dresser was unpleasant. I recently endeavored to buy American-made solid wood furniture, and 57st Design was one of the three places I ordered from to get new furniture. The other two places I purchased from had totally accurate lead times on their websites, my furniture arrived on time and communication was regular and consistent. I am used to the long wait times for this kind of furniture and have been extremely pleased with the previous two places I ordered from. I ordered a dresser from 57st Design on Sept 15, 2025. The lead time on the website was 12-15 weeks which, unfortunately, put it right in the middle of the holiday season. In the middle of December, I asked what the order status was. I was told promptly that my dresser would be shipping the last week of December or the first week of January. Cue a week-long saga starting December 30th where I try to get anyone to answer me on what the status is now. First week of Jan comes and go with no response. It takes 8 days into the new year for an answer and I strongly feel like I only got an answer because my previous email had acknowledged the possibility of production delays. All in all, my dresser, which is still quoted as 12-15 weeks on their website, took 19 weeks to be delivered to my door. Even allowing for 2 more weeks due to the holiday season, it still took another 2 weeks after that. On top of that, I was given a 2-4pm delivery window and my delivery didn't occur until 6pm. The delivery workers themselves were wonderful and did a great job getting it inside, but being 2 hours late is a bit difficult to accept with a smile. The dresser itself is beautiful and exactly what I needed--I just wish the journey to receiving it went much more smoothly. It seems I'm not alone in experiencing issues with communication. Delays need to be communicated to customers proactively. There needs to be more ways to reach someone besides an email address (that can go unanswered).

I had another chair recovered in velvet at Calico Corners in Wilmette and it does not attract dust and lint at all so it is not necessarily a function of all velvets. You were not nearly as helpful as you sound here on yelp when I had these complaints after the sofa was done. You' were completely unresponsive and refused to assist any further. At minimum, the sofa should've been comfortable and you definitely did mislead me on your product.
